I have tried freeshipping.com I can confirm this site is a totally scam.
Firstly when you open an account and provide them with your credit card number, they will $1.97 for a 7-day trial then they will automatically charge $12.97 a month.
The problem comes when your earning in more than what you have paid.
They will send you an email saying they think that you are using their site for business and close you account and take all the money you have earned. So you will loose everything, even the credit card number they have.
I am sharing the email which they will send you.

I created an account to get promotional free shipping for one order I placed through Kohl's back in August 2016 and just noticed they have been charging the credit card I used for the purchase for $13 a month since then. This is such a scam, I never authorized this and they sent one email with the original order stating there will be a fee per month at the very bottom of the email. They will just start charging whatever credit card you use for your purchase. DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT OR USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!
Hi Neil,
We're so sorry to hear about the misunderstanding about our membership fee. You were offered a 7-day free trial at sign up and the chance to claim your $10 introductory bonus. All new users agree to the monthly membership fee at sign up. Directly above where you enter your credit card information, the details state that if you wish to continue using our site past your trial, you agree to pay the $12.97 per month. Otherwise, you must cancel your membership within your trial period. These details are also stated in our terms of use, which must be agreed to before completing the sign up process, and in the welcome email you received afterward.
It looks like your account has already been cancelled. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to email help@freeshipping.com. Thank you!
Sincerely,
The FreeShipping.com Team
reeshipping.com is a total fraud and scam! They steal your money without authorization, and you never get any services or it. This so called company is CRIMINAL!
BIGGEST FRAUD SCAM I'VE EVER HEARD OF. They were charging my card for over a YEAR AND A HALF. I was told that when I ordered from Pro Flowers that I "signed up" and then never canceled my free trial. BULL$#*!. I never knew about 'FREESHIPPING.COM", they stole my information and charged me every single month. They are thieves and what they are doing is ILLEGAL. I wish terrible things upon whom ever is running this fraud ring and hope to see you go to jail.
The guy on the phone was nice but had no clue what the charge was. I didn't ever hear of this site before this. Its only $2 -$10 here and there. Bit I caught it in time to stop it.
Hello, I apologize for any confusion regarding the membership fee. If you need any further assistance please feel free to reach out directly at Help@FreeShipping.com.
Lets start with the cons on this service (bulk of it)
-Shipping rebates take FOREVER to process
-In order to qualify for the rebate you must click the link to the site of choice from THEIR website and complete the transaction, otherwise it doesn't show up in your purchase history.
-They MAIL you a check... yes you heard that right. MAIL, as in snail mail. I thought that stopped back in the 1900's? They said it may to take up to 3 weeks after approval to receive the check in the mail... that is just ridiculous.
-Poor communication- absolutely no e-mail updates saying the rebate processed or that your bank account got charged for the monthly membership fee to remind you... it just kinda shows up so if you aren't paying attention then you are immediately screwed.
-Limited access of stores- there aren't many to choose from.
These are just the ones that I encountered, I am sure there are more...
Pros: I called customer service and they credited my account and expedited the rebate. Were very nice and willing to help. (I think even they realized it was kind of a scam)
Regardless, this is a poor business and not customer friendly, although I am sure somebody is getting rich off of it...
I do NOT recommend. STAY AWAY!
Hi, sorry to hear you frustrations with our program. We are always making adjustments to our program to make the member experience more enjoyable. I will certainly forward on these suggestions, however if you have any other questions please feel free to email me at mprocaccini@freeshipping.com or call me at 860.358.9198 x237.

Freeshipping.com is Fabulous, saves me money on my favorite stores when I shop throughout Freeshipping.com! They do let you know of your monthly fees before you personal plug in your credit card information. Looking@ these reviews tells me ALOT of people took advantage of a free rebate to turn around saying "they knew nothing about signing into a membership"... who hasn't heard of karma? Geezz! Any who. KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB ON SAVING ME $$$ FREESHIPPING.COM! Oxoxox
Hi Tessa, thanks so much for taking the time to share this great feedback! We hope you continue to enjoy the savings with FreeShipping.com. Happy Shopping!
I have been charged $12.97 a month since December 3,2017 and I HAVE NEVER ASKED TO ENROLL IN THIS FRADULENT practice, and I have never used it I didn't even know what it was. I am a senior citizen and feel this site is illegal. It was confirmed today by "Ted' IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AT TEL. #*******185 THAT HE SEES NO RECORD OF MY USING THIS ONLINE SCHEME TO ORDER ANYTHING. He was quick to say, after admitting I have been charged roughly $144.00, that he would cancel my account as of today, but he offered nothing else. I told him I was due a refund, which he would not address. Please, can you help?
Hi Bonnie,
I'd be more than happy to issue you a refund for those charges. Can you please reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com and please reference Customer Loyalty #I28?
Thanks!

(Update)
So I made a new account after reaching the limit. However, after few months of use. Freeshipping cancelled my account without any notice because I am heavy shopper. The only good thing is that they refunded me the money for that month but they did not send me the rest of the money that I had accumulated. This company is very unprofessional.
(Old)
Beware there is a $1000 limit cashback which they do not let you know about it. I made over 20+ transactions during Thanksgiving/ Black Friday and now they declined all of them because according to them I reached my annual maximum cash back amount which they did let me know that I have reached. How am I supposed to know and keep track of the amount that I have received so far? Plus, they decline your cash back after like one month of your transaction which is very deceiving and misleading. If they would have let me know I did, I would not have made all the purchases with it and use Ebates instead; which is free service unlike this. Very bad customer service; they do not take responsibility for the fault in the program.
Hi Jia,
I apologize for the confusion regarding your account. We do try and make the limits very clear to our members. You would have seen these when signing up, on the Savings Center page, How it Works, FAQ's and the Terms of Service. Please let me know if you have any questions on locating these.
Thanks!
Why do you need to know MY card number if YOU are going to be sending me a check in the mail. It's not like my card number is my address. Hmm little wild didn't go through with it.
Hi Sandy, sorry for any confusion regarding our membership. There is a membership fee, which was located in the print directly above entering your credit card, as well as the terms and conditions which you would need to agree to prior to joining. We apologize for the confusion regarding the membership fee, however we believe that we do make it clear prior to a member joining. If you need help locating that language, please contact me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com. Thanks!
All I had to do was call and explain I didn't know I was signing up for a service I'd be charged for every month. No problem. No waiting. Taken care of. I'll be using them in the future.
Hi April,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience! We appreciate your feedback.
Thanks,

The trick occurred when we made an on-line purchase at Kohl's in January 2020.
While completing the purchase we noticed an offer for free shipping by, simply, checking a little box on the form while completing the transaction. The offer was made in an innocuous manner so as to appear to be a kindness on the part of the seller. We thought the trade off would come in the form of receiving product advertisements.
We then started being charged $13 per month. This charge presented as an expense associated with a monthly purchase. While reviewing monthly credit card statements, this was found to be a monthly fee from a. Com site named "Free Shipping". We found that $13 had been billed to our credit card for 27 months.
When I spoke with a representative of "Freeshipping.com", he indicated that he was allowed to refund us for the last four months. The fact that he was so quickly able do so appears indicative that this is a continuing practice of " Freeshipping.com".
Clearly, the customer is led to trust the meaning of the word "free" as is stated, when in fact this appears to be a calculated manipulation that amounts to theft. In fact it appears to reflect very poorly on the integrity of "Freeshipping.com" and is marginally within limits of the law.
I REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND ALL OF THIS NEGATIVITY. I have been a member for about 5-7 years and they have been nothing short of GREAT. My fee is a year at a time and it's about $95. I always get back more than I spend. It's been especially great since they now can to total electronic receipts via email. I LOVE IT, LOVE IT!
You don't have to sign up to get sucked into this scam! Pay attention to purchased made through Macy's, that is where they got me and trying to get a response from them is near impossible! They have had multiple class action lawsuits for this! I am reporting them to the BBB! PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR PURCHASES AND THE FINE DETAILS!
UPDATE: Contacted the credit card company and they cancelled my card because they saw after cancelling a membership I never signed up for, freeshipping.com charged me another $15.00 and the credit card company agreed they were fraudulent charges!
Total scam. I did not sign up for this and just looked at my statement details. I have been charged for many months. Called to cancel and they won't do anything about it.
Total scam.
Hi Denise, Please contact us at customerservice@freeshipping.com. We will be happy to explain how and when you registered as well as issue a refund.
Thank you
I would give this sham of a website 0 stars, but I did speak to someone there who was a nice person and I guess just trying to pay the bills like the rest of us. The confusing, conflicting information combined with an utter lack of information makes these goofballs a joke, and unfortunately one in very poor taste. I would not recommend anyone sign up unless I hated their guts. The time that I wasted trying to procure my "free e-bay gift card ", I can never get back, and at this time of the year, every second counts. I am grateful only that I did not have the vile displeasure of actually trying to use their " free shipping " and only experienced the nausea of a foolish wild goose chase in an attempt to ascertain 25 dollars to spend on e-bay. Look out "Farce Shipping ", because you will anger and frustrate people to the point that I will promise you two things in this life and the next about what will happen to you. Firstly: YOU are not going to like it. Secondly: YOU will never forget it.
At first I thought this was a hoax or a scam but I gave it try. I decided to stick with it for a couple of months and if I got nothing fine. But then then first $10 check rolled in cool. Then $23, then $16, then $25, then a whopping $485 (thanks to buying a couple of big ticket items during a 20% bonus offer).
I like it so much I got my wife into it and we love the fact we can reimburse $10 for shipping and $10 for return shipping plus any cash back rewards.
I knocked off one star but every once in a while tracking fails. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. You also have to keep track that they reimburse you for all submitted claims (they do process about 95-99% of what I send in though). Customer service via phone isn't the greatest but that's ok. I can usually get what I need taken care of over email.
Overall have been with them 2 years and I get most my cash back during their 20% cashback promo's they have during the year. I usually spend about $120 in monthly fees but I max out their cash back (I think it's $1000) yearly (not including all the shipping rebates) so I think it's a fair deal.
Hi,
We're so glad you are enjoying your benefits of being a member. I would really like to hear more about how we can improve the Cash Back tracking as we are always looking to make it easier for our members to receive their benefits. Also, I want to ensure our phone support is just as helpful as email support. Could you please contact me at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Thanks!
I have used Freeshipping.com for more than a year now and happily paid $12.99 per month as I got these little checks from my purchases that made a bit more than the subscription to make it worth it. I had no issues until today when I am left in utter shock on how this company can stoop so low!
I bought an expensive TV from a best buy and factored in the 10% cashback and also received an email confirming $600+ in cashback approved yesterday. Today, when I tried to login to my site - I was locked out to my amazement as I am always logged in my personal computer and it easily logs me in. Then I tried to reset my password and I did not get any retrieval email. Finally, I saw an email from them from this morning stating "they have locked my account until further review as they believe I have been using it for business purpose" - which is a joke to avoid the $600+ cashback. I called the customer service and the guy said that it shows "I cancelled my account this morning (that was the note of the customer service against my account"!). I then asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold and the guy came back saying he was not available and I should respond back to the email asking for clarification on why they think it is a "business account".
I am so shocked as I factored in this cashback in my purchase and never thought a company can act in such a shallow manner. I don't know what to say but not to expect much. I can promise they haven't heard the last of me and will regret their decision if they decide not to pay me. It is pure illegal practice on what they did to me.
My wife, who has a brain injury, clicked on a coupon to use with a purchase. I end up with 4 months of charge for $12.97 for a membership fee? How do they get away with this stuff?
Hi Craig,
I would be more than happy to assist you with this. Please contact me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com and reference Customer Loyalty #T91.

I placed an order online and was sent an email from freeshipping.com about a shipping rebate. I followed the link in the email, which took me to their free trial page. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DECEPTION, WHAT YOU ARE JOINING IS VERY CLEAR AS IS THE MONTHLY FEE. I don't understand why anyone would give credit card information to an online company if you don't know what you are paying for. The reviews that this company is a scam are ludicrous. If you don't want to take the time to READ, then maybe you shouldn't shop online. The only way for them to get your credit card info, is for you to give it! I haven't decided yet if this service is something that I would use enough to be worth it for me, but if I do, their website gave me more than enough info to make an educated decision. STOP BASHING THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR LAZINESS AND MISTAKES!
Hi Allison, we're glad that you took the time to read through our program. If you have any questions please let me know and I'd be more than happy to help you! Thanks
Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
Answer: Hello - No problem, I have sent confirmation of this to your email.
Answer: Hi Carla, Please reach out to me directly at Help@Freeshipping.com. I will be happy to issue a refund for the membership fee. Thanks! Samantha Customer Support Supervisor

Hi,
This is an email requesting a review of the membership to ensure you are not using Freeshipping.com for business or commercial use. Freeshipping.com is for personal non-commercial use only. As long as the membership is only being used for personal non-commercial use there would be no problem to continue with the membership or for you to receive the cash back and shipping rebates you have earned as a member.
Please reply to the mentioned email for assistance.
Thanks,
Samantha
