Always get the cheapest flight by traveling on Tuesday and Thursday. Set up a trip then leave Thursday, and fly back Tuesday. Schedule no more than 6 mos in advance to get the cheapest fare. Never had a problem with Expedia.

Easy! Easy site to use.

I love how simple they make this site to use and how they notify me quickly of my purchase and send reminders. I also use other sites if the pricing is significantly lower, but Expedia is my default site. I trust them and been using their service for years.

Customer service here is a joke but I still use it because the price is right. I even purchased the insurance but it was a ridiculous hassle. My experience is that if you are willing to gamble that you will use the tickets for the exact time and date and won't ever have emergencies then it's worth it.

Shady policy

Their price match was a lie. We were offered a lower price from hotwire for a room we booked, so we tried out their offer and met all the criteria. They sent an automated response saying we didn't send the exact room when we had. They would not reply again. We don't use dishonest companies, so we use booking.com now.

If you want peace, never use them!
The company is so fully filled with perfect lie, no not perfect really, because if you single out one lie, it is perfect, when string together, poor idiot lies.
It is one lie after another to cover up previous lies...
If you want to feel happy and peaceful, the best thing you can do is to stay away from Expedia!

Had worst experience ever dealing with Expedia. Got to a destination after 10 hours of driving. Was dead tired and girlfriend wanted to sleep. We get to hotel, and they say its overbooked. That Expedia does this regularly and that Expedia says its OK because they have a network of hotels and they can just relocate you to any other room. Well unfortunately did this not happen. After calling customer support about 10 times and speaking with different callers each time, they did absolutely nothing. All their call centers are in India and Philippines and the people can barely speak English. Let alone be able to resolve any issue dealing with hotel reservations in the middle of the night. Needless to say, i ended up being homeless for the night for the first time in my life. Thanks Expedia! I will make it my personal mission to make sure people aware of the horrible business practices of Expedia.

They booked us a hotel that literally ruined our entire trip. The first room had cockroaches, when we asked to move, the second room gave us bed bugs! When we asked Expedia to help in the situation they would not. The hotel staff was extremely rude the entire time. Basically acting like it was our their hotel was so crappy and dirty. NEVER book through Expedia.

Expedia booked my stay twice. I called the customer service line and the hotel who each told me I had to call the other. There was absolutely zero attempt to resolve my issue. Later I disputed the credit card charge.(Fifth Third Mastercard). The response was equally benign. The booking with Expedia is non refundable. How can that be? No one is culpable? BEWARE BEFORE USING EXPEDIA!

I love Expedia!

Whether you need a flight, a hotel, a car rental or a complete travel package Expedia is the best place to find it. I have the app that is so useful but I had also call the customer services representative and I am totally satisfied with all services I have received.

Car Rental SCAM
September 22, 2020

Expedia will charge you for a car rental reservation in order to save you money. The price that is guaranteed will be way higher and then they will refuse to refund, saying the charge they took was for insurance. Truth - that insurance you can't even use!
Stay away from their SCAMS!

Great Holiday

We purchased around the world 5 stops ticket. In the country we visited we arranged drivers to pick us up and take us back to the airports and when we arrived at the airport they were there is was really nice not to worry how we were going to get to the hotel from the airport. We also booked our day tours that we did in different countries and we found that we were the only ones that go offered the little extras (eg lunch provided, VIP tickets, express entry etc) over people who booked through other websites and even through the tour company directly. It was nice knowing that we were looked after. I will defiantly book through them again

I accidently set my date wrong and they would not move it and would not refund so I could pick the right date. They did however get permission from hotel to move date which cost me $300 more money and the price was not what it said on the app, it was more. Their cust service people are rude and treat you like crap.

I rented a hotel room through Expedia to attend a couple of MLB spring training games. Of course spring training was cancelled. I couldn't get through to Expedia though I called for hours and hours. The hotel tells me there's nothing they can do because I booked through Expedia. For days now Expedia's customer service line delivers the message they are having technical difficulties and then hangs up on you. I got on their chat line, but clearly no real humans are involved and you just keep getting the same replies over and over. I've repeatedly e-mailed too, with no response. They should do better by their customers.

RH HOTEL
August 21, 2021

We had a 1 week conference in the hotel and it was the best hospitality we have received. We have been to many hotels before but the RH Hotel was THE BEST. We were given a 5 star service by 2 ladies Neo and Gladys and my team and I have decided to use this hotel for all our upcoming conferences and want to be served by these 2 ladies only from here onwards. They were so friendly for the whole week and their energy is remarkable. They made us feel at home and we love their level of professionalism and passion for what they are doing.

I booked a two night hotel stay thru Expedia, but when I called the hotel, they told me Expedia had never confirmed my booking with that hotel! It took me back and forth many times trying to resolve the issue, finally I got fed up and called for the cancellation on this booking, Expedia had never even posted the refund, I have to call my credit card company to dispute on this transaction! Dont use this company, you will have nothing but pain and suffering, this is a very dishonest company!

I thought expedia was a great idea but logging on to the website I realized that the same prices are available directly through the hotels themselves. Often the price given on expedia is inaccurate to what is actually available at the hotel/airline.

I prefer to just join a specific chain's rewards program, stick to a chain I like, and soak up the loyalty rewards :)

I love traveling and I like a great accomodation, even better if I can find a website which puts trip and lodging together at great affordable prices. This is what Expedia does, and does it well. I've been able to find great prices for December in New York or a great weekend in Lisbon. Sometimes I also check Expedia to find deals within a few miles from where I live. I simply think this is one of the best websites for traveling and tourism.
They send tons of emails, so it's better you have a dedicated newsletter address to repvent your personal email from being flooded with their great offers, or simply change it once you've experienced the entity of their mails.
If you are looking for a great holiday, look no farther, you've already reached the best place.

We began booking a hotel in SC. We opted for the "Hotwire"-type deal where you don't know what exact hotel you'll get but you're told how many stars and the location. The first rate we were given was $65. The site wouldn't process the request and we had to start over. Then, the price increased to $75 at a 3-star hotel. After booking, we were assigned a hotel in a different location and the hotel that we were assigned does not even have any stars assigned to it on Expedia's own site. We called immediately to complain and they said there was nothing they could do about it. And, the customer service rep - Leonard - would not even provide us with his last name. I would strongly recommend against using Expedia --- false advertising and about the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Expedia is a really good service for booking hotels and buying air tickets. I have used it many times and there were many good offers for hotels, but the prices are not always the best. I also bought plane tickets on this site, and it was the only site where I had no problems paying.

Expedia is a scam!

Expedia is terrible to work with! Do not travel with them if you can avoid it at all costs! We had booked a flight over a year ago, and we were supposed to travel back in August of 2020. I had a medical condition come up, and I was advised by my doctor not to travel. With covid, and my doctors guidance, I requested my flight to be cancelled and refunded. When I booked this flight, I was told that it was 100% refundable. Here we are nearly a year later and Expedia won't do a single thing for us! We have had the run around and been told that we would receive a refund on several occasions, but still have not received anything.

These guys are scam artists, and will find a way to take your money!

Do not travel with Expedia!
