When I booked my vacation seven months ago, I paid half of the amount, the other half at the date the rental was to begin. I received a receipt from Expedia, with a confirmation number, itinerary number and showing that half was paid. Seven months later, three days before our vacation, I was notified that I owed the full amount. Expedia never sent the information to the property owner that they were to charge me the one half in January. I had no reason to nit think that the transaction had already gone through. How else would they have it on their app that I did. Did they apologize for someone's failure? Not at all. I will never use them again. Oh by the way, vacation had to be canceled. Didn't have the full amount to shell out.
I booked a room at a local hotel due to an evacuation in our area on Jan 9,2023. When Expedia's sofeware detected the increased demand in hotel rooms, they raised the price shortly after the evacuation order was in effect. The price gouging is unethical and ripping off people who are going through hard times! I asked the hotel manager, he stated that they would never do that, it was the third party -- Expedia -- that did the price gouging!
I did a mistake selecting the dates once. They start rolling the ball from one customer service to another. I spent 200 usd and never got it back and I explained theme it was a mistake in the date. So you know who you are dealing with.
Expedia just bought Homeaway.com for 3.9 BILLION dollars and added a booking fee to the customers that use the site. This will protect the customer from scammers. Which would be fine if it were optional, but it is just a new fee for my repeat customers that can't say no to it.
I'm able to check my flight itinerary without a problem. It is wonderful to have it at your finger tips.
It appears this app is still under constructions with more features to come in the future.
Anyone who is a frequent traveler will appreciate the Expedia app.

I was trying to reserve a ticket itinerary until i get a visa then to pay or to cancel. As they are saying it is free.
They took 53 USD from my card for no ticket itinerary. Because the card was not having more than that.
So they took whatever they found, and i had got nothing.
I am sending them emails and getting no reply.
We will never use expedia again! After spending many hours on the phone, we have to pay for the mistakes expedia made. The supervisors and cooperate managers tried to confuse us by telling different excuses...
Getting help when things go wrong is virtually impossible for bookings made through Expedia. And try getting a receipt from a hotel booked via Expedia... won't happen! I am looking for a new travel source!
I have used Expedia in the past for airline and hotel reservations. I was not please at all with my ability to cancel hotel reservations as I generally wind up paying a penalty even though I stick to the rules about when I must cancel. I won't be using them much in the future.
We booked all our family travel through Expedia 6 months prior to arrival. When we arrived after traveling half way across the country the hotel said they were over booked and Expedia dropped us. There were no more rooms in the area except a very bad two star hotel we booked a 4 star and they said sorry nothing we can do. Expedia was no help at all. After calling around we told the hotel to get us blankets and pillows that we were going to sleep in their lobby since there were no other rooms in the area. They quickly found a room however it did not have air conditioning and it was hot but they brought in a fan. It was better than the horrible hotel Expedia tried to send us to (bed bugs, stained sheets, mold, bad service all on the reviews of the other hotel). Expedia needs to address this issue. They should not be overselling hotels and if they are they need to let people know. Surprised there is not a class action lawsuit yet!
I used Expedia to book a flight to Alaska. The return trip was booked with Delta airlines. I had a three hour lay-over, and when I checked Delta's website it said I could change to a flight with a 52 minute layover for no cost. I attempted to do this and they informed me I needed to contact Expedia and they should do it for no extra cost. Expedia wanted to charge me an extra $367. I will never use Expedia again and would not recommend anyone else ever use them.

Expedia has been one of my top in the list where it comes to travel and flights. I have always had good deals and fantastic offers on hotels and holiday packages. I always recommend friends and family and i will continue to do so.
My brother recently had a wedding and we needed to rent a few cars for guests. It turned out to be convenient and fast, that you do not need to wait until they find a car. We rode 2 days and returned the cars.
I recently used Expedia for the first time to book a trip to Dallas TX. It seemed that the service was easy for comparing ticket prices. I ended up booking a Delta flight that was a little more expensive because it included a carry-on bag and a checked bag for each ticket. When I got to the airport they wanted to charge for my bags. Long story short I ended up paying an extra $120 for bags on top of the premium I had already paid. When I reached out to Expedia they confirmed that the ticket I had chosen had been switched out, unbeknownst to me at checkout but told me they could not refund me because the itinerary they sent me after the fact showed the bag needed to be paid for. Apparently with this company you figure out what your buying post-purchase. I will not be using them again.
Or actually Expedia bought Orbitz but they did leave the UI the same on Orbitz so can use coupons easier than Expedia. I was worried about my Orbucks after the merger but they are keeping them two separate companies with own identity - for time being. We will see.
I usually have luck booking with Expedia and getting low rates. The only issue I have is that their website has lots of pop-ups, which is a security threat, and their coupons seem like a good value but they only apply to a very specific kind of booking - I can never use them, which is disappointing.
So as I called to attempt to change my name to the CORRECT spelling, I was moved from place to place and was made to wait for 2 hours. I eventually hung up and had to call the hotel and car rental place my self. Why do they have name changes for flights in a separate department? It makes no sense to me.
Never, ever will I use Expedia again.
When using Expedia to search for travel flights I always feel I am getting the best deal as it allows you to see other company comparisons. I have never had any issues when booking my travel through Expedia!
Very good site for booking travel, I use it regularly even though I shop around it still often has the best deals. The telephone support and customer service has improved a lot and I think they are great.
I tried to book airline tickets, but when you want to make the payment, the website says that the payment details are incorrect, but then they took some money from my account anyway. Rather look for another website.
Answer: You were lucky to get through to anyone at all at Expedia. I've spent hours and hours and hours over three days trying to get through to anyone on their customer service phone line, their chat line and their e-mail, all to no avail. They really owe their customers much better customer service.
Answer: Demand to speak to a Supervisor though you better have time because it will take anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once the Supervisor does nothing or little to nothing to resolve your concern, ask to speak to a manager. Get ready to really wait. DO NOT ACCEPT THE "WE'LL HAVE A MANAGER CALL YOU WITHIN 24 to 48 HOURS" When you figure out you don't matter, sit down and right a review!
