Scams customers with wrong information in their ads and even their booking page, the only reason I'm not suing them for fraud is because of the time and effort it will take.

This has happen to me within the last two weeks
As with all the other reviews I found the chat line only capable of offering endless reasons why it could not be ebookers fault
Any sign of accepting the possibility that it might have been an error on their part was not within their vocabulary
Many hours wasted on a pointless quest for answers and certainly no possibility of a change to the proper date without penalties that amounted to almost half the original ticket price
DO NOT use Ebookers if you are used to any degree of customer support
It is a pity that this warning cannot be put on their site
I tried to cancel my reservations because I found a flight from the airline at $430 cheaper. I called to cancel, but was told that all I had to do was take a screen shot of the cheaper price, email it to them, and they would match it. I was also told that if I wanted to cancel, It would cost me $60. I promptly emailed them the screen shot. I received an email from ebooker saying that they couldn't match the price because it was more than 5 minutes since I booked my flight with them. I called to cancel and was told that it would now cost me $430 to cancel. What a rip! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I found it interesting the the price that they were going to charge me is exactly what I would have saved booking through the airline!
We are still awaiting our refund for the car that was not available to us when we arrived in Glasgow in November last year. Very bad service not even a response to my email sent.

I have booked airline tickets through ebookers and I had problems which have never been sorted. I have booked a flight time in error and immediately contacted them to move it to the next flight which was available on the same day. I have contacted the airline themselves and they have a 24 policy for full refund. However ebookers are not willing to help. The customer services are incompetent and brush you off by responses that are only suitable to their needs. I have had different scenarios from so called managers, I have tried to follow their complaint procedure but guess what they do not have any complaint department or procedure, their website is misleading and they do not follow the distance selling regulations, I have been trying to find out their regulatory body but with difficulty as all is hidden do do not abide by distance I would like to draw readers attention to try to avoid ebookers by all means. Please book your flights directly through the airline even if it costs a few quid more rather than go through the unpleasant situation I am in.
I was looking on ebookers website to book a hotel and it clearly stated on the site that if you book in advance you would get a 10% discount, but when I paid it did not give me the 10% back when I contacted them they said the hotel price was already at a discounted price? She then said thankyou for booking with ebookers and hung up.

I had called up to book a Double room at Hotel Kings Court U Obecnigi Domu 3, Prague 110 00 Czech Republic from 05th August 2019 to 10th August 2019. The advisor was requested that I need a room with a shower cubicle/ walk in shower.
The advisor did not understand properly what I was asking for and booked a room with a disabled toilet and send the confirmation to me with the same.
I called up ebookers again to explain as to what has happened. The lady on the phone said not to worry and the desired will be done.
I received an email saying that the room should be with a shower cubicle/ walk in shower.
When I reached the hotel I was told that they have no information or emil about the room with a normal shower cubicle/ walk in shower.
The room given to me was for disabled people. The toilet seat was so high that one had to stand to use it. The wash basin was so low that I hurt my back using it for five days. She told me that they will try to shift me the next morning. As it was past midnight I took up the room.
The next morning I tried my best to change my room but was unsuccessful. The manager could not see me for five days. Whenever I asked for him was told that he has left for the day.
I will never book with you again as they do not understand what is a person trying to communicate.
Obviously, the people who are on the phone their first language is not English.
So, even though they try to speak with a slang but they do not understand what is being conveyed.
I filed a case with my bank and they started investigation on the unauthorized booking made using my CC details, however ebookers are not willing to provide any details such as IP addresse from which the booking was made etc. and why they didn't ask for any more details besides my misspelled name on the booking.
It's 4th or 5th day that I was promised each day to be sent all call recordings, emails correspondence and chat copies to my email account which is registered with my bank and to which my bank representative asked to forward all the info.
Each representative I talked to apparently has also lost members of their family just recently and claimed they understand my situation and are doing their best.
As regarding to likelihood of them being scammers, you figure it out - a sales team based in India getting commissions on booking and having the monthly sales goals.
My only stupidity was to store my Amex details in Google Drive as a back up, with pretty medium security password which I had to reset after seeing all the BS emails from them.
I tried to purchase a flight and hotel package online yesterday. Made the choice and proceeded to the checkout. Put in all my payment details and it just crashed. Returned me to the choice screen displaying a message "couldn't complete this transaction at present but try later" something to that affect. I then decided to look on another website where I found something better for less and went for that instead. I then decided to check my bank account and low and behold ebookers had taken my money. Checked my email but nothing. I called them explaining what had happened. They apologised telling me no problem it will resolve itself after a few days and the money will be refunded. He also told me how much will be refunded which was only half the amount. When I asked him why so little he said just wait a minute and left me dangling for 10 minutes before getting disconnected. I then called again only to repeat everything again but this time I was told the amount they would refund in 5 to 10 days is just the hotel cost not the airfare and for that I would need to contact the airline directly. Which I did and after waiting for 20 minutes on a premium number was told they would not refund me as I did not purchase the alternative flight from them.
I now cringe at the thought of calling ebookers and going through that all again but if I want my money I suppose I'll have to. How can a company like this exist and why is there no 3rd party to whom I can complain and hopefully make these people accountable.
I been booking some fligths for a great event in Germany for me and my wife. As I got an accident only my wife can fly at that moment. I ask them to change the fligth for another person or to return the money. After months still not received the money. Despite have also "insurance" for cancelling they want to return only abt 30% of the cost, and from this abt 2/3 of the return will be the fee for "visa authorisation". THIS WAS THE SINGLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM DOESN"T MATTER WHAT PRICE. They have no proper phone, chatting only... probable because from India as someone noted. Who can respond for their services in this claim? Where is registered this company?
Do not reserve with ebookers! They sell you fake tickets and you will have to pay extra at the airport. They will never answer your mails. Be careful. Do not reserve with them!
I tried booking a ticket to India and since the price on this website was cheap and I needed a ticket for tomorrow, I booked a ticket.
I filled out some forms and made sure that I didn't choose an insurance. I filled in my debit card details and once I clicked on 'Book', the screen got blank. I tried refreshing but nothing worked.
After filling in my debit card details I was supposed to be taken to a secure page but I instead I was redirected to a blank screen. At that point I wasn't sure if they booked a seat or not because I gave them my card details but I didn't get a confirmation e-mail. So I waited for a few minutes but no confirmation.
I called customer service but I had to wait at least half an hour in queue although I was supposedly only second in line.
Once I actually talked to a normal human being about the status of my booking, I had to wait for another half an hour. I honestly don't know what they were checking but they asked me to call back after an hour.
I was pissed of at that point but I waited. I checked my account for any transaction and at that point no withdrawal was made.
I called an hour later and I was told that no booking was made.
Fine.
BUT in the afternoon, I got a notification that a company called e-bookers withdrew 698.37£. This was the price of the ticket that supposedly wasn't booked in the morning.
I was furious and called right away. How could they withdraw the money if I didn't

I had a horrendous experience with this "travel agency". I should have never booked my ticket through them, as they are a scam.
- First of all, there is no accessible phone number. They have an international (UK) phone number with no US base. So if you are like me and have a limited calling plan, you won't be able to call them.
- Second, there is no email address! This should have been my first warning. Never trust a place with no email! They'll have a chat, but you can't change your flight or do anything through that. They'll tell you to call them
- Third, the phone number they give you is a UK - based, but really, you're speaking to people in India. So ebookers, supposedly English, is tricking us to believe they are in the UK when they are not
- Fourth, they are useless, mean, uneducated people. They will hang up on you when you try to change the flight.
- A change in itinerary, day, or whatever small modification you want to make costs about half the price of the entire ticket!
- Sixth, payment options are not flexible at all. If you want to pay with credit card, they charge a service fee. Only debit cards are free of that fee, and that's another sign of a scam. They make you use a debit card so that they can get your money.
I hope you can read this and know that, if I had done my research properly, I wouldn't have booked ANYTHING through ebookers. STAY AWAY FROM EBOOKERS, THEY ARE A SCAM!
I booked flights with e-bookers which included four flights from the UK to mexico with internal flights while I would be in mexico.
I have two middle names. In transferring my name to the aeromexico booking, ebookers mangled my name, making one of middle names my surname and removing my surname entirely.
When I first got the confirmation I assumed my surname was missing because of the length of my full name. When I came to select my seats a month before the flight I noticed the entire surname missing.
I immediately called and explained the issue. After TWO WEEKS of messing around with forms, sending them copies of my passport, being on hold for an hour every time I called them, them hanging up on me CONSTANTLY and them repeatedly asking for my 'marriage certificate to explain why I had change my surname' (I hadn't). They finally sent me a curt email to say the airline wouldn't change the name at all and my only option was to cancel the £570 ticket with a refund of £70 in taxes only and rebook a ticket for £1000. £500 wasted and an extortionate £1000 basic economy ticket. I called them in tears, the guy on the end of the phone hung up on me. I called again still in tears, the guy said he would 'try one last time to ask the airline and would call me back'. He never called me back. No one ever replied to my emails after this.
Completely at a loss I guessed the email of an executive leadership team member of the airline and explained what had happened. Within an hour he had replied and asked for my number. Within another hour his assistant had called me and my ticket had been cancelled and a new one issued free of charge. I was speechless - how could ebookers have let me down so monumentally.
Essentially, ebookers are more than useless. They are heartless and completely incompetent. Aeromexico are golden and have a customer for life (but one that will be booking directly and avoiding expedia/ ebookers).

From my experience, Ebookers terms of service in relation to price matching are not comparable to competitors.
With Ebookers, the lower price offer needs to be printed the same day, within 2 hours after making the booking and the refund must be claimed within 48 hours of the time of booking. THEREFORE YOU ONLY HAVE 2 HOURS TO IDENTIFY A LOWER PRICE.
With a well known competitor, if you find your booking within 48 HOURS at a lower rate on their own site or another Party's site they refund the difference.
The flight and hotel I booked with Ebookers yesterday was £176 cheaper in less than 24 hours. I would had got the money back if I had booked with a particular competitor. But EBookers customer service were unable to deal with my query satisfactorily, were inflexible and lacked any sensitivity and completely reluctant to try and assist. A phone call that was due to be returned to me by a supervisor was not, instead I had to follow up. I personally feel that the indian call centres are out of touch and sub standard with the quality and level of service which would be expected in the UK.
