I LOVE shopping with Dot & Bo. I have bought many items ever since I discovered the Dot & Bo website, from large furniture to medium-sized wall clocks to small pillow cases, and everything has been beautiful. When I did have a problem with one item, the Modern Mango TV Stand, Ivy in customer service helped me out in a way that no other company has ever even come close to matching. I love my eclectic furniture pieces and the fun little side pieces and decor, and I have been recommending Dot & Bo to everyone who comes to my house and asks where I got everything:-) Their website is really easy to navigate and their curators do a great job of putting 'themed' items together. Every time I go on the website, I find things to add to my wish list!

I recently purchased a beautiful wooden console from dot and bo to replace our ugly old tv stand. The piece arrived on time, is very sturdy and looks great in our living room!

I'm enjoying my new lounge chair from Dot & Bo. The chair arrived quickly (for furniture) and is really brightening up my space. I did not need to contact customer service so no comments on that.

I wish I had checked here first before ordering. The one star reviews are spot on. Delayed shipping, untimely and unreasonable shipping dates, but quick and timely money withdrawal are all key attributes to this "new and upcoming" business profile. I placed an order on 11/15, and I supposedly have a pillow lost somewhere in space, seeing as how it was expected yesterday, based on the shipping status.

My other items have yet to ship and have "expected shipped dates"--not arrival dates (d&b speak) of December 15.

I want my items--that's why I shopped here- unique items that I wanted to PURCHASE not browse, buy and get a refund back.

My advise:

1. Don't purchase.
2. Don't purchase if you want to give it as a gift and need it in a timely manner (think of months as timely with these folks)
3. Do not purchase clearance sale items--they receive many orders, make promises they can't keep in terms of shipping times.
4. Avoid dot and bow but look at their pictures to get ideas (kind of like a Pinterest that you know COULD be purchased... but nah)
5. Avoid their growing pains--other services and companies do it better.

These sheets are so soft and form fitting that I wish I had bought more than three sets. The colors pop and make my bed look welcoming.

I received damaged items from them and have submitted two forms to them with no response. Not impressed. Will be contesting the purchase with our credit card.

I ordered something and pressed the paypal button to pay. A screen came up saying that I agree to letting Dot and Bo have my paypal email and phone #. Then the usual paypal link. The next day someone tried to break into my paypal acct. Pay pal notified me and withiut going into more detail snd orher suspicious events, paypal is going to be investigating Dot and Bo for fraud.

Update... i keep getting suspicious emails saying they are paypal and trying to siphen sensitive info from me. Don't use this website. PS my order has never arrived.

In reading the other reviews, it appears we were all victims of timing and the SCAMMING of consumers by Dot and Bo as they obviously knew they were going out of business. But like many here, I placed an order in August for $1100 worth of chairs. 5 weeks later neither my items NOR a refund for my items placed has been received. YET, they still operate a functional website as if all is good and they are open for business. FRAUD. They have NO customer service phone number to call. You are at the mercy of their email "support" team and they just keep telling me (for 5 weeks now) that my items are in transit and I cannot cancel the order. I have disputed the charge with my bank, filed a BBB complaint and an FTC complaint. Unfortunately, this is about all the recourse you have a consumer of these jerks. At a minimum, their website should be CLOSED DOWN versus continuing to promote merchandise.

AWFUL!

AWFUL! DON'T DO IT! All the merchandise looks great BUT it takes forever to receive it, and they have your money for months before they send the merchandise. THEN, you only have a 14 day return window, and they won't answer the phone or emails to give you a return authorization. THEN they will not refund shipping. THEN they will not refund at all because it's a "final sale". RIP-OFF, before ordering read the Dot and Bo Complaints. I'm filing with the atty general in order to get my $$ back. They resell merchandise from other venues and mark it up by about 300%. I ordered a $39 item that I later saw in the store for $7! BUYER BEWARE!

Ive tried to Unsubscribe half a dozen times via the link at the bottom of their emails (that I do NOT recall signing up for in the first place) and all it does is redirect me to a page instructing me to create an account with them! They email me every day and its completely unsolicited. As I understand it, this does NOT meet the requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act and is, therefore, against the law. I will be escalating this in the form of a formal complaint filed with the Federal Trade Commission.

Beware that it took this company over 6 weeks to deliver a simple framed picture I ordered in December. Once it finally came, the quality was average, at best. The price was not worth the product.

I ordered shelves and they charged me two days later. After not receiving the merchandise for almost three weeks, I emailed them twice asking about an estimated ship date. Then I got an e-mail saying that they cancelled my order. I e-mailed them back asking when I will get my refund and NO RESPONSE. I had to DISPUTE the charges on my credit card because I never heard from them. NEVER BUY FROM HERE THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Customer Service Sucks

I got one of my products and like it, however I had an issue with shipping and customer service. When I ordered, it said it would take 15+ days to arrive. I'm in the process of moving, and put my new address thinking it would be delivered there in that time-frame. Instead, it was scheduled to arrive within 3 days of me ordering it. No big deal, I'll change the shipping address.

Except, no, you can't do that with the way they ship it. See since it comes from a seller, FedEx requires that the seller update the address. Again, seems like an easy fix, I'll just call them and have it changed.

But, no again, Dot & Bo (or Open Sky, depending on where you look), does not have a phone number, so you have to contact them via email. Their email ensures a response in 1-2 days. Not good for a time sensitive issue.

Long story short, I received one of my items only because they were able to hold it at a FedEx location and I had to go there to pick it up. I have no idea if I'll see my other package, because it was delivered to the new address and no one (not Dot and Bo, not FedEx, and not USPS, who were all involved) was able to help me. Changing a shipping address should not be this much hassle, especially when I started the process over a week ago.

DON'T BUY!

DON'T BUY! FORGER ABOUT THESE POORLY MANAGED PIECE OF JUNK OF A BUSINESS.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Dot & Bo has been the worst shopping experience in my life.
My wife and I bought two lamps for our new home on December of last year with an expected delivery of early January.
I tried talking over the phone to a representative and it's practically impossible. I left two voicemails and they promise a call-back within a business day, which ever happened. They finally replied my emails 2 days later only to say there was a delay and should be arriving by early Feb.
I just logged into their website and my order has been pushed back another month WITHOUT NOTICE! I'm about to cancel the order.

I ordered 4 bar stools, and 2 of them were damaged. I put in a request to return them and exchange for 2 more. I have contacted them 5 times in the last 10 days and have yet to hear a single word back from them. This is the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. The return policy is 14 days from initial receipt. How am I supposed to return them if they don't get back to me so I know where to send them back to? I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN!
