Good product but poor customer service. Terrible exchange policy. Made a purchase & they would not exchange for a different size frame. They forced my hand in to having to purchase another frame in the size I needed. So another $100 later. I had the frame I needed & another I don't. The frame was in the original package & was never used. It was for a Christmas present. So it was over the 30 day refund policy. However I work in the business & I know the exchange could have been made. So they have lost any future business from me.
I ended up buying a pair of designer frames for a reasonable price. However, I ended up getting the basic lenses which usually include some type of protection, but after a few months, my glasses have scratches on the front and the back of the lenses and I haven't actually put them up against anything scratchy. Disappointed about all the cost to upgrade the lenses.
Hello! I would like to leave a review of designeroptics.com for glasses I purchased; Champion CUTARGET Sunglasses - 03 - Crystal – Polarized. I would steer clear of this company if I was you. I ordered these glasses in May of 2025 with prescription lenses. I ordered red lenses to come close to the original non-rx glasses. The lenses I received were gray and I exchanged emails, chats and phone calls with them until the end of August to no avail. The best they would do is to return 80% of the cost of the frames or around $60.00. They say if I wanted red lenses I would have had to order $50 mirror tint and that all the lenses start off gray? This is obviously made up. Of course you can get the lenses in colors. I just kept them because they are worth $60 just with the gray lenses.
They don't stock the glasses they say "ship in 1-5 business days," then they tell you the product is back ordered after you order, but not until then, I ordered and expedited shipping for extra $ because I wanted them fast, but upon order completion they told me the glasses were back ordered, so I went and began the checkout process again, and sure enough they said the product would ship in 1-5 business days, no mention of back ordered product before check out, meanwhile, the glasses I ordered still say back ordered. Oddly enough I went to smith ordered the glasses on a Sunday and today (Tuesday) they were delivered, all before I even got a return email from customer service regarding this matter, I still haven't heard back from these fraudsters. My guess is, in most cases people forget about their orders and these criminals just pocket the money and deliver nothing, and in other cases they deliver fake products. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! You've been warned.
I placed an order for eyeglass frames and expected to receive it within 7 days as advertised. I followed up with the order after 7 days and the Designer Optics rep replied that I will be informed once their factory has shipped the order. I insisted and wanted to know time frame but they ignored. I asked for a refund and they ignored to reply.

Ordered on dec 1st, called 7 times,still waiting on supplier,usually 3 days.on 16th frames arrive and customer service rep would not even put a rush on my frames at the lab, just 5 to 10 days,then we will mail them.Oh I also paid for express shipping.So I guess I will my glasses around jan 10th or so.40 days to get...go else where, lots of much faster companies that care if you are a customer or not
I ordered 2 pairs of frames and lenses. The left eye was +25 instead of -25 and I had them tested by a local optometrist. I had a two-month Email chain and sent the glasses back where they said they tested them and they were to my prescription/order. They would not remake the left lens or refund. Terrible customer service for something as important as your vision. I ended up ordering new lenses for the frames through visionworks who was more expensive but I could get better service.
I ordered a pair of Coach sunglasses on this site as a last minute gift for my wife for Valentine's Day. I specifically chose this company because they had the product I wanted, and they boasted next day delivery. Well, not only did the next day delivery I paid an extra 40 dollars for did not happen, not in the slightest. After 2 days of waiting for the sunglasses to show up (I had no gift to give my wife), and no communication from Designer Optics whatsoever, I finally reached out and expressed my disappointment. I received a very generic email that stated that the sunglasses I had ordered were not even available to them yet, they were waiting on receiving them. There were no updates, no compassion that the holiday plans I had made were ruined because of their failure, and even after I replied and expressed that I am a very unhappy customer and STILL hadn't gotten the order I had paid extra for, the customer service department just offered a weak and ineffective "apology". No discussion of reimbursement for the shipping fee, no conciliatory measures, nothing. Perhaps this company believes that it gets enough business that it doesn't need to have any regard or concern for its customers. Perhaps this company is just another large corrupt company that benefits from trampling over customers and offering terrible and inept customer service, as long as they meet their overhead financial goals. Regardless, I will never shop here again, and I will advise everyone and everyone to do the same, they do not deserve the business or money of hard working people who just want a fair deal.
Don't order from this business. They sell fake glasses as "authentic." I wish I would have done my research before purchasing, because as you can see from other reviews, BBB complaints, etc., there are many other customers that have reported receiving counterfeit glasses. I purchased $400 Gucci prescription glasses, and I upgraded to non-reflective lenses. When I received the glasses that were supposed to be metal and realized they were plastic, I was very concerned… so I took the glasses to the Gucci store near me at 725 5th Ave., NYC, where they confirmed for me that the glasses were 100% counterfeit. Even worse, the prescription was off and the lenses are definitely not anti-reflective. I have contacted the business, but they continue to deny the glasses being fake even though the actual manufacturer told me they are fake. I have contacted the NY Attorney General and the BBB, because this business needs to be shut down.
I placed an order before the end of 2023 for approx $500 ($497), AFter inquiring for a couple of weeks for a status, was informed that they did not have the frames and could not get it, so the order was canceld. Unfortunately, this was with an FSA balance that was now unuable in 2024. Handled very poorly.
Do not ever order anything here. It's a scam. They are happy to take your money, but you will never receive anything. They will tell you that somehow they don't have what you ordered but are 'in contact with the manufacturer'. Translation, they will string you along, and never ship anything.
Let's see how long it takes for my refund.
Orders 5 frames for almost $700 return three pair in original packaging because the size wasn't a great fit …. Didn't receive half of that back… my glasses require prescription if I would have kept them. In return they charged me for frame damage / not true … and every thing they could to keep my money. I return asp once I knew you had only 14 day to return… I was hoping to receive all eye wear at one time but they shipped every thing at different times …. If you don't have money to loose don't order from them … they didn't even have the correct order number on my order. So if I had not called I wouldn't have received any thing back … also the most expensive glasses were the ones they said were damaged … Go in if possible. With that being said they receive the first and last order from me… I pay good money for glasses but I still don't like just giving it away …
If you need something fast and pay extra for overnighted don't expect them to ship fast! Wasted 3 days! Wish I ordered somewhere else initially
I ordered a pair of glasses 5 weeks ago. I sustained a brain injury which affected my vision and now need glasses. I didn't seen an option for prism lenses and called and asked customer service who said to just email that I needed them and I was told there would no no extra charge. When the glasses were done (I paid when I ordered od course), I received an email I needed to pay another $40 for the prism lenses. I replied saying I was told they would not cost extra and I also tried customer service but was unable to reach anyone. Weeks later, when I finally did, the man was incredibly RUDE, claimed they had not received an email from
Me and still made me pay the $40. DON'T USE THEM. I'll see if anything actually arrives. This has been a nightmare.
I'm usually good at reading reviews before purchasing from the off brand websites. I had a pair of the frames and broke them. So, when I say them on the website. I didn't jump to purchase. I wanted months and still never read the reviews. It is going on a month and as everyone I received an email stating the glasses are at the warehouse and waiting. So, with that being said. This scam place might not be on the country.
Frames seem to be a good price. The lenses added to the order are awful. The Designer Optics 14 day guarantee is NOT something the company stands behind. Warning! Do NOT add lenses to your order.
You order will supposedly ship in 1-5 days, that doesn't happen. I emailed them, got a canned reply just like other people did. Saying how busy they are and that they're working on my order. I emailed again after hearing nothing more from them. Was told the sunglasses I picked are not at their warehouse, but can probably be received by them from the manufacturer in a few days. At this point, I had already filed a complaint with PayPal after reading numerous poor reviews. I informed PayPal of the latest reply and thankfully, PayPal refunded what I spent. DesignerOptics then emails me and asks if I would like to choose some other brand/style since there was an issue with what I ordered. Nope, I'm finished with this company. Meanwhile, the sunglasses I wanted are advertised a few different times for different prices by this company if you search on google/safari
I purchased prescription Ray-Ban sunglasses, twice. I needed help reordering the first pair as they got stolen - customer service helped out and got the order placed for me.
Couldn't find this specific frame anywhere! Always packaged with great care.
Had exactly what I was looking for at an affordable price. A little tricky getting my prescription lens put in but I succeeded. I suggest taking frames and lenses to an optometrist to install and have the frames adjusted for a perfect fit.
Both pairs of glasses that I ordered both pairs took a month to get delivered which is not what the website told me and no notification that it was going to be late I had to reach out each time I ordered.

Answer: Not easy at all! You can send an email, which will likely take at least a week for them to respond, or you can call. I have called and emailed several times. There are only 2 customer service people (I asked when I called) so you sit on hold for upwards of an hour. It is horrible. Then when you do finally get a person on the line, or an email response it is just, "Your glasses are almost ready. They should be shipped out soon." When you press for more detailed information they put you on hold and then come back and say that the lab is currently working on them. If you email for more information then you email is likely never returned.

Answer: I put in an order from Canada back in April 2025. There were some delays in shipping and delivery due to holiday long weekend and availability of the frames I ordered from the store. But I did get my order after a few weeks delay. So they are legitimate. Price I paid for the frames was reasonable even with the dollar exchange rate. I would consider ordering from Designer Optics again.
