Specialists don't know their products. In one visit I had the TV representative tell me that Samsung 75" TV was made by Vizio because Samsung USA was going bankrupt. Offered to sell me a different brand to avoid warranty issues in the first 30 days.
In the computer department the young lady had a very difficult time answering my question about the difference between two printers other than one was an HP. We were able to find the information on their website though!
Do your research.
Bought computer for my daughter at G. I. Ne store. Very pleased with all the employees who helped us. Especially Gary Thompson, he was very nice & knowledgeable. The Geek Squad was great also. Overall great experience.
Based on my experience, as well as the vibes of numerous blogs and complaints listed on the internet, Best Buy has terrible customer service and very poor business practices. Where they got this stuff if beyond me!
I like Best Buy because they always have knowledgeable sales staff. I have not purchased in some time, but I have bought TV'S Mac computer, loads of electronics and software. If anything was bad or defective, I knew I was safe in taking it back. I feel you pay a few bucks more at Best Buy, but I also know no one is going to give me bad advice and say we can't take that back it is your fault. It's tough to find stores that are service oriented and want to take care of you. A company like that spends a lot of money in training employees and I appreciate the knowledge.
The variety of products seem fine. The staff is either right there constantly bugging me or nowhere to be found when I do need assistance. When they are assisting they are always in a big hurry and seem to have their minds elsewhere. This has happened to me three out of four times. Otherwise it's a nice store.
I ordered a mini-fridge appliance online and paid an expedited delivery charge. It turns out that Best Buy delivery carrier OnTrac doesn't even deliver any appliance to my door and with required signature, unless the item is above $500. Customer service is a joke after I had spent hours on the phone with no luck of trying to simply update my phone number and to request a door-to-door delivery as opposed to let them dropping it off like a package in the lobby or mailroom. Also, I was told by customer service reps that once the order is placed online, there's no way to cancel the order unless it's within 30-mins of purchase. I never had these issues with other online merchants like Home Depot or Target once I paid a delivery fee, the appliance will be delivered to my door in-person with my required signature. I don't think I'll ever purchase any appliance online from Best Buy in the future.
Went to Best Buy for my latest printer. After reviewing several brands on line, and deciding on a Canon, we didn't need a sales pitch... Best Buy had the one we wanted in stock so we paid for it. Simple matter of convenience. Do your homework and there's no question as to whether you've bought the right product.
As you can see from the pictures the item it's super heavy! It requires 2 people to deliver as has glass and it's fragile!
The delivery guy left at my mailbox, I live in the 3 floor and I also live alone! How tha heck you expect me to take this alone to the third floor? Now I'm stuck waiting for someone to help me because I requested this to be delivered at my door and not at my mailbox room! Bad experience! I suggest you don't put deliverer option if you can't deliver at customers residence! Really upset here!
I tried to return a new item for a refund, it was packaged in its original box with all of the items it had when I bought it. After about an hour of heated conversation with the customer service person, his manager and the store manager, and a getting larger by the minute crowd listening, they finally refunded my money. I have not been back in any of their stores since.
Whenever I walk into one of their stores, I feel like a kid in a candy shop. The selection of electronics is simply impressive. Whether I'm looking for a new laptop, TV, or even some new headphones, I can always find them at Best Buy. Shopping there always feels like a warm and comforting experience.
Yes the deals are basically the only reason to go to Best Buy these days. Sometimes in the back they offer super discounts on returned products. Besides that, everything else is slightly overpriced. Best Buy is struggling, we all know this and the company I grew up with is likely heading to extinction in the future unless they innovate.
The most entertaining thing about Best Buy is that Geek Squad. You go there and tell them the problem and they make you feel dumb. It's really only good for people who really don't have a clue about computers at all.
I recently bought a phone case protector from Best Buy, Worked perfectly for over 6-10 months and is still working to this day. It is in superb condition also. I have also bought controllers for different systems and honestly it works but they do not advise you or talk to you about how to put on cases or how the things work. Fair.
Not a question. This place ha NO customer service. I have been trying to get a dryer delivered for 4 days. The first time they went to a different town and stood outside an apartment building for 20 minutes and didn't realize there was no apartment number on the building. Customer service then states they will call back, that was a joke. Took 2 days off work to get this dryer and its 4 hours late on the second day and they said it will be here in an hour. So a dryer that costs $399 plus delivery charges costs me $800. So I have a case number now. Called for a supervisor and was refused that, supervisor is suppose to call me back. Heard that one before, especially with Best Buy.
We bought a computer with a service plan. We've brought it in 3 times. This last time, we were told that backup/restore was a part of our service plan. The backup was done before it was sent out but the restore wasn't done. When I asked about it at pickup I was told that they can put it on a jump drive since we had already signed for the computer. They charged me $6 for the jump drive and said it would be 10-15 minutes. TWO HOURS later, after several questions about if there's a better way, I was asked by the store manager "Do you want your data or not?" He said they can't control transfer speeds and there was nothing he could do. Terrible service. I would rather buy devices online and take them to an independent repair shop next time. It works out to be about the same price and the service is much better
Worst customer service ever! They are running me through a phone loop talking to multiple departments because no one can solve a basic problem with a return I made. They acknowledge they received the item but still have not credited my card & they don't know what the hold up is. I'm opening a dispute with my credit card company because talking to Best Buy gets me nowhere.
I have had to contact GeekSquad 4 times in the last 3 weeks. I get the same Agent notes every time. This is getting really old very fast! They must have there spill of (s**t)
That is already typed up for them to use. It is always I tuned up your computer and cleared Temp Files and bla bla bla bla! I think GeekSquad really sucks. I am going to get rid of Kaspersky and GeekSquad when my time is up. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good protection plan?
Beware that if you order through BESTBUY.com, the products may be sold by third parties. It is a HUGE hassle to return or exchange anything you order online. I made one order (total of 8 items) and realized some were not what I expected. I need to return 4 items, but have to contact 4 different sellers to take care of it. What a waste of time?! I also have to pay to ship them back too! I'm furious that the store will not take back items sold on THEIR website.
I was looking for a fridge for my first apartment and the guy in the store really helped me out. He knew all about them and what I need to consider when choosing. But the delivery guys were rude. DIdn't take off their shoes and left my apartment dirty after installation.
What a wonderful experience dealing with bestbuy. Customer Service was amazing! Beginning right with my first contact a lady named Kelly. She was most helpful and as we went through the whole ordering process. Great experience
Best Buy is a great store and a wonderful company. They employ very knowledgeable staff in each of there departments. I have found them to be great at customer service. Their pricing is also very competitive.
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
Answer: I dont know? I dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont know
