Anthropologie used to sell much better quality clothing and shoes than now and very overpriced item. I bought $158 skirt and couple weeks later they put it on sale for $29 and 20% off! But they did not have my size S, anyway it does't make me feel good to spend $158 for $29 -20% item.
This is an awesome website! They have very unique items. Very one-of-a kind finds! From women's clothing! Gorgeous sweaters (you won't see anywhere else) great dresses, pants, and unbelievable HOME DECORATING ITEMS! The buyers scout the world for the unusual! I just ordered, and received on time so gorgeous turquoise agate drawer knobs for a dresser I refinished! I could go crazy on this site. They also have retail stores that are incredibly full of their merchandise, but there's more quantity on the site! Everything is very high quality at great prices, too!
After doing an audit of my online purchases, returns and credits I found 7 items over the past 6 months that were returned but never credited. I keep my USPS return tracking slips along with detailed contents of the items returned in every transaction. After several calls to customer service with associated confusing emails from customer service, Im still trying to get credit for several of those items. Its been 3 weeks. And then I get an email saying: Youre online account is suspended due to excessive returns. Yep. Cant order anything, I tried. They owe me over $130 in credits in online gift cards I now cant use. Avoid this fraudulent company at all costs.
I recently returned two pairs of defective pants to anthropologie using the smart label they provided. The package wasn't received by them and the company charged my credit card for these pants. I explained I mailed the pants back over a month ago and I don't know why it wasn't received. Their unwillingness to give me, an avid shopper who has spent thousands in their store, the benefit of the doubt is very disheartening. I will no longer purchase anything from them online. I've been attempting to be credited for several weeks and this whole saga began in August when I purchased the pants. Stay away from online ordering!
Seriously the worse customer service! No response ever received to emails from thr UK to their EU customer service. On of my email addresses stopped receiving newsletters / promotional emails and there is no way to resubscribe despite many phone calls to them telling me that I should be receiving them. I have tried resigning up but makes no difference. They never call back when they say they will.
Not all orders are shown in my account.
The customer service by phone is very deadpan and the agents sound either half asleep or very depressed! Never friendly or all that helpful.
A miserable experience all round should ever you need customer service from Anthropologie and no improvement over the years.
Not the first time to place an order and not receiving my items.
First they said item is sold out, second they said payment didn't get through so without even notifying me they kept the status as pending until I called them myself and they said payment didn't go through so we'll have to validate it and after validating it, sorry item is sold out!
They should've at least notified me!
Zero compensation from their end at any inconvenience by the way.
Definitely not the experience I'm expecting for the money I'm paying.
You'd think they would have a system to track online returns, but they don't. I bought shoes that I sent back and they refuse to give a refund. I used their package label and no where did they tell me I needed to keep the tracking number. When I received a text from the postal service shoes arrived I threw it away. They are refusing to give me a refund without that number. Now I'm out shoes, money, and time. Ridiculous. Never shopping here again.
I cancelled an order on July 6,2020 for a product that was back-ordered (they sent me an email after I ordered it). As of today (7/20/20), the charge of $33.19 is still pending in PayPal. I chatted with four different representatives over the past weeks and was told each time it would be taken care of. Last time, they promised they'd go in manually and delete the charge. I tried calling the phone number listed as corporate headquarters and it's no longer in service. My email to them was returned as undeliverable.
I had a bad experience with an expensive candle I purchased that cracked by itself while burning (it wasn't dropped or banged into, it simply broke). I had only burned it a handful of times. I emailed customer support to see what they could do and to let them know of a faulty product and every reply was sent by a different agent, each one asking for photos, receipts, order numbers etc etc etc. and finally they said they couldn't help me bc it was an in store purchase and I have to bring the item into the store to do anything about it! Why not say that in the first place?! I'm not going to bother since it's dangerous to carry a sharp piece of broken glass around but after this experience, they lost a customer forever bc I hold grudges!
Anthropologie has the WORST texting customer service I have ever seen (and after I tried this I saw many other similar reviews!) Whoever runs it is beyond rude and annoying and did not answer any of my questions. Very disappointing!
Their customer service is horrible and they simply don't care about customers. They lie and give you the Runaround and are sarcastic. I and many other reviewers say we will never shop with Anthropologie again because of the horrible manner in which they deal with their customers. Please put this company out of business.
Half my order was cancelled due to no stock, then the item which did arrive had multiple stains on and I was unable to create a returns label as the whole order had been cancelled. No response from customer service after several days.
I love the Antrhopologie stores and the site complements the stores very well. Where it lacks in shop setting, it more than makes up with the online community and their reviews. This is the only site in which the reviewers let you know about fit, sizing and how it works with your body type. The reviews have been dead on for all my purchases. Aside from that, their clothes are comfortable and finely made. I never have to worry about quality when I buy from here. And the style is quite versatile from glam to girly.
Terrible service. They took my item and destroyed it that got sent to them on accident. Worth £40 and wouldn't compensate me. The worst customer service.
Worst experience I have ever had with anyone! Ordered a 5' mirror from them took over a month for them to ship it. Once the local shipping company received it they held on to it for over 2 weeks not allowing me to pick it up because of anthropology. They also promised to refund me for shipping which never happened. The guy that would pick up was the rudest customer service representative not willing to work with me. Stay far away from this company!
Be careful before you buy at Anthropologie. They will steal your private information. Their policy dictates it. The people who work there are rude and the executives at their corporate office will blow you off if you try to talk to them about their so-called policies that steal your personal information. They are an arrogant company who takes your money with no regard for you or your privacy. BOYCOTT this store that makes sub-par clothes that will get holes in them after two wearings.
I purchased glassware in September for my wedding on December 30. I emailed customer service multiple times to clarify the payment process and the delivery time frame. I emailed customer service on both issues multiple times (last time was in November) and received inconsistent responses, payment has been received, the credit card received is void, not acknowledgement on query about time of arrival. I was surprise to receive the items without any notice or update from customer service 7 months later. I have tried to arrange the items to be returned and they want me to pay!
We ordered a few things from this store and were very dissapointed with their online customer service. They put you on hold for so long you even forget what you wanted to purchase and once they answer they start to promote the product that you don`t really want. Two stars! This is surely what they deserve
I ordered an item from them in mid December. Said it was delivered, I was home that day and it never was. As soon as I received the email saying it was delivered, I checked my porch. Nothing. Customer service required me to wait 48 hrs before I could put in a claim. I put in 3 different claims for my product to be reshipped or refunded. Neither happened. Then I got an email saying they would not refund or reship since the order was marked "delivered". They suggested I contact my local police. Are you kidding me? This is supposed to be a high end company. Absolutely horrible customer service.
I adore this boutique, even if the wares are often beyond my budget.
The selection is somewhat minimal, but wonderful. I tend to purchase more in the way of housewares, but am always OOOHing over the sweaters.
I've saved almost every artful catalog they've sent, many years now... still coveting the velvet frock coat and Chinoiserie skirt from how long ago?
As mentioned - the customer reviews are extremely helpful, and don't get edited or removed if unfavorable, like some other online retailers seem to do. ;)
Answer: Easy to get ahold of- but expect rudeness and complete lack of caring from 95% of the employees.
