Not as good as years ago

I have been buying from Zulily since 2010. Most of what I've purchased has been nice, but like others, I've found that some of the clothing is smaller than normal, if bought in person. Lately, I've found that some clothing is coming from China, and their sizing is way off, and very small. Also, the shipping for just one item is always $5.99, no matter what it is. I bought a shirt, and had to pay that much, which was almost 1/2 the cost of the shirt, plus!
Trying to just buy home goods, or pet items now, and staying away from most clothing. Lower the shipping costs, please!

I purchased a 2-piece dress set for church for $110. It looked very nice online. When I received and unpacked it, I was stunned to see the cheap quality. Additionally, I ordered a size up and it was still too small. I now understand why you cannot return their items. I will never buy from them again! I would not be seen wearing such quality of clothing. I should have read the reviews first as well.

Long shipping time

Zulily shipping is horrible. You never know when your package will arrive. I waited at least 2 weeks before my tracking was available. When I order something I expect to receive within a week or 2. Never happens. I have started ordering from different on line stores that guarantee a delivery dates.

The original idea of Zulily was to partner with specialty name brands to offer deep discounts on certain products. Nothing is returnable unless it's damaged in some way. If you don't like it, too bad! Now they have unidentified manufacturers making products just for them, showing original pricing (?) really high, and then "discounting" it. The products are poor quality and not worth the price. But you can't return them! Buyer beware - it is NOT worth it.

Avoid at all costs

Had I known that they ship from China AND have some distribution center in Ghana, there is no way I would have ordered from them. They mislead by stating that the item(s) have arrived at their warehouse but fail to mention that it's in Africa! Are you kidding me? It takes weeks to even see where the order is. This was my first and last time ordering from them. I will delete all my information as I've read other reviews that it's impossible to delete your account. Avoid this company.

Love the products

I ordered two tunics from zuli ly. Took a long time to arrive which was difficult for an Amazon Prime member. But the tunics are terrific, fit perfectly, and look beautiful. I will order more products from them when I don't need them quickly.

I don't recommend ordering from this site if you ever have issues with sizing. Because they don't take returns, if something shows up and the sizing is off, you're stuck with it. I stopped using them because I had spent tons of money on poor quality clothes that don't fit properly. It's fine for ordering household goods, accessories, etc.

Do not purchase Vision Training Vouchers from Zulily. They did not vet the company or it's product which is falsely advertised on Zulily.com. Zulily responded that they had no control over the product and kept my $120! The vouchers only allow you to view videoed lectures and the "presentations" are blurry, out of focus and not legible making their products useless. Contacting Vision Training was a waste of time; they merely thanked me for my feedback. CROOKS! I wanted to rate No Stars but had to choose one.

"free shipping" awarded by Zulily but shipping was charged when order completed. The text box saying you have until midnight pt to complete an order and get free shipping is not true. Customer service gives two reasons why free shipping was not given as offered. 1)order sent to different address than qualifying order 2)plants do not qualify for free shipping. I do not know how many other exceptions they have but do have the impression that they will come up more. Gotta wonder how much this company makes on shipping.

I was directed to Zulily from a website search for a household item. I was only vaguely familiar with the name and had never shopped there. As soon as I reached the site, it prompted me to set up an account. I could not get past the popup to the site, despite trying on three different browsers with different links, etc.

I find this highly offensive- I'm not handing over my email address and name just to browse a site! I don't even know what things they sell, let alone whether I would want to purchase anything. I will never shop at Zulily for this reason.

A relative mailed us a box of clothes from Zulily for our young teen. Wow is this stuff garbage! The fabric is so cheap and thin! Junky rayon and polyester made in some sweat shop in Mexico. I'm embarrassed bringing these clothes to Goodwill.

Wish I'd looked to see the ratings on this company before ordering. You can't return if you don't like it and the product as compared to catalog image is quite inferior on one out of two things i ordered. To quote other, "never again".

Don't buy from Zulily
November 26, 2018

Ordered shoes on 11/16. Got an email today 11/26 telling me it will be another 10 days until the shoes ship. In between they sent me an email saying that slow shipping was the primary reason their prices were low. They must think the public is stupid.

I feel stupid because i did not read reviews of Zulily before I ordered.

My order is happening just like the 1800 other bad reviews say their orders happened.

I have just now received my completed order (3/18/2014) after receiving one of the items last weekend and my other item today. I ordered a Cuisinart hand mixer and a Cuisinart immersion blender. Ordered both on the same day (2/19/2014) from the same sale category. So it took nearly a full month for everything to process and ship. I don't understand why they arrived separately. It just takes FOREVER (it feels like) for orders to complete. They have nice things but if it isn't under the "ready-to-ship" section, order it, and forget that you ordered it because the wait time is killer.

I've shopped Zulily for shoes and clothes for several years. I enjoy the variety, quality, and bargain prices. My only issue w this company is the time it takes to get some orders, mostly the oversea goods. Has taken a month in some instances.

Mostly I shop Zulily for clothes and find it's a great way to find good values on both essentials and a couple of brands that I normally pass by due to the regular retail price. Shipping has been prompt and ordering process is simple.

I've never tried to return anything and have only had one true "dud' of a purchase. Pretty good batting average for Zulily.

How to improve? A larger selection of natural fiber clothing pieces would be a treat.

Never again!

When I ordered I did not realize that they have no return policy and do not actually take returns. Who does not take returns these days? So glad I only ordered $15 worth of merchandise. Also notified customer service asking about their return policy, they responding but ignored all my concerns, and said they could not accept returns of a sports bra because it was an "intimate" item. Also absurd! Learned my lesson on this one and will never order from zulily again!

Terrible

I ordered 2 shirts and a dress a while ago. The prices are good, but would be nice to get better quality. The shirts both looked great in pictures, one was blue with ruffles. The ruffles sit flat, and looks awful, and the fabric just lays- has no shape to it. The second shirt was a poncho sort of look, blue with white details. It looks like there is a bleach stain, or some kind of chemical stain on it, which was really annoying since it doesn't come out it's also really stiff even after washing its still sitting up, and really awkward. The dress design looks like it should but the fabric is cheap, and much longer that expected (knee length dress that goes down to calf area). It took about 3 weeks to ship, which is absurd. Do NOT recommend.

Wish I knew what I know now... My card was promptly charged for the purchase, but have yet to receive my order. You can order from so many other online retailers (pay less) and receive the items in a day or two. How do they stay in business?
