Talking to the Sales Rep over the phone I felt coerced into the online contract.
Unfortunately soon afterwards I had to terminate my business due to family matters and obligations that needed attention.
Asked if they can cancel my contract as this was an unforeseen event and they said no, so now I have to pay $50/mo for a year.
Would definitely not recommend this business
I took a contract for 1 year, very expensive. Did not get even one client from this! Impossible to get in touch with anyone and when you try to cancel...I have spent more time trying to cancel the contract than they did for the service! Thank god I emailed my cancellation because otherwise they would force me to pay another entire year! And they don't tell you up front that you have to cancel 3 months in advance or you are stuck with another year! Absolutely awful service and a complete waist of time and money! I am a realtor...learn from my mistake please!
My company has been using Yellow Pages for two years now and every year they get worse. I paid them to build me a website, they did not optimize it. Better yet they told me it would be an addition cost to optimize it even though I am still paying a monthly website management and service fee. They also like to randomly increase pricing due to "inflation". Twice this year I have had random "extra's" billed to me, when you call the customer service to get an explanation they are incapable of giving you one and when you ask for a manager they are always conveniently "gone for the day". Most recently I found my bill was $140 plus change over the usual amount and when I called to ask why they told me it was the new billing system charging me to make up for a discount I got back in October 2018. Of course the manager yet again had left the building.
Yellow Pages charged us for over 6 years of an ad on their site with a wrong business name - so we didn't even showing up on search. We didn't know until I searched on yp.ca and don't find our ad. When I confront to them, the answer was they not responsible for their mistake (they set up the ad). So when I wanted to cancel the service, they said there is a contract for auto renew (which I don't aware of) so they will charge for another 3 months.
ya.ca has terrible service, very unreliable, don't get any result. We won't recommend for any one.
I was contacted in Sept 2016 I listened to the sales rep and made the mistake of saying yes on the phone. He sent me two emails which I never responded too. He tried calling me. Never answered those. I never received a contract to sign even on the initial phone call I requested it. Three months later I started getting nasty calls from their accounts payable dept for online advertising fees I never agreed too. They won't cancel my advertising even after months of emails and phone calls from me to them. They are still billing me and I am not paying it. This is now June 2017 and they are the most disgusting company I have ever dealt with. Bunch of scammers. Don't use anything affiliated with yellow pages If I could rate them as 0 I would

Yellow pages.ca are plain crooks. They constantly hassle you for advertising then when we agreed to view the details of some possible advertising. They automatically put our business online mind you all incorrect info and wrong business name and began invoicing us. when we called they said we agreed to the advertising and sent it to collections. Called the sales manager which said he would correct the problem. Take 2 weeks at a time everytime you leave him a message to respond and over 2 months still no resolution. This organization is a joke. DONT AGREE TO ANYThING not even to look over a possible advertising campaign they will bill you automatically.
Have been trying to cancel contract for months, no matter who you talk to, it is not there department, although if you where trying to give them money they know exactly how to get it. Contract renewed from voice in shady way, how can you trust a company with your business advertising that does not communicate internally. Would not recommend this company to anyone not even an enemy
Tried to cancel service - forced me to pay for another year said we had not cancelled in time - bogus company and very poor customer service - watch out they will cheat you out of your money then threaten to sue you - but they dont listen to anything at all!
I've been put through to over 35 different people in an attempt to cancel our services and after being on hold countless different times for a combined, at least, 5 hours, I still haven't been able to get connected with the correct person.
This is such a joke and I can't believe this is how they run their business...
PATHETIC! They don't even deserve a 1 star rating.
I requested copies of Yellow pages and white pages and was promised delivery twice but they were never delivered. When I complained about the failure to deliver I was told that they had been delivered in my neighbourhood previously in the spring. Strange; none of my neighbours received them either. I miss the ease of use these books provided as I am a senior and the online YP do not show many ads that businesses spend tens of thousands of dollars on for advertising. Businesses are being ripped off by YP as are consumers whom they continually refuse to deliver the book.
The extremely poor service and apparent lies about past and future deliveries do not even warrant a one star rating and my rating would actually be Zero stars. Do not trust this company.
As a business I wish to increase my online presence and felt the need to go through yellow pages. Unfortunately they've lied with termination where after 1.5 months and if I was unsatisfied, I was able to terminate my contract over the call. No transactions have progressed on my end as the business through yellow pages. I would not recommend using this services and spend it through social media is a way better and organic way to get your business driving.
They create uncontrolled, not examined reviews. Harming innocent businesses for years, causing innocent employees losing their jobs. Shut yellow pages down. Do not do business with them. Even when they promise to take the review away.

This company was to help my business not destroy it. From day 1 there were problems with my site. With a dozen phone calls to head office, problems remain. Pictures not linking, financial information being breached, the list goes on. I have been off this site for months although my business is still linked with many errors.
This company does not deliver results, their systems are 100 years old and it takes an eternity to get some service, if you get any.
I do not recommend any business doing advertisment with them, you will just waste your money and your time.
Hi Julien, we are sorry to read about your experience. Yellow Pages is proud to help Canadian small and medium businesses grow with a wide variety of marketing solutions. We would love to have the opportunity to speak with you directly about how we can improve your campaign performance. We invite you to reach out to us at 1-844-875-4290. Thank you.
I think im done with these guys. If you're reading this you prob. Said yes on the phone with them. Don't ever let it go to small claims court or to a collections agency. I wasted so much time reading all these reviews and trying to find a way to not pay. Your best bet is to call them and try to negotiate the crap out of the situation. Try to knock off as much of the amount owing as possible with them even if it means paying all at once over the phone and just never say yes or talk to companies like this over the phone ever again in your life. Its a huge bullet to eat but it does go to court and it is upheld. These guys go to court so much its a full time business for them. They know all the ins and outs. I never found a person that said they won.
I just helped a friend through a process where yellow pages took him to collections from a contract he tried to cancel over and over. NOW it's my turn. I sold my business 2 years ago and called them with the new owners info and the new owner has been paying the bill for the last 2 years. Now they are calling me to tell me they've sent it to collections. Yeah. Good luck. I will not be walked on!
Worst service ever if I could give negative stars I would. If you sign up you can't cancel easily and have to phone constantly to get it done. This company should be sued in class action and shut down brutal
Hi Colin, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. You definitely shouldn’t have to phone multiple times to submit your cancellation request, so we’re very sorry to hear that this has been your experience. If you’re still having trouble canceling your advertising, please email your request to customercare@yp.ca. (business name and phone number) and a member of our Customer Service team will reach out to you directly. Thank you!
You barely get any clicks or leads to your page. When you try to cancel they tell you you're in a 12 month contract and that's with waiting on the line for 2 hrs to speak with someone. Over the span of 1 year I've got only a total of 50 clicks to my page…madness! They claim their page generate over 15 thousand customers monthly…bull$#*!
After I sold my business, I called yellow pages office 4 times in 2 months to cancel our service, every time I was told that the manager Mr. Salam would call me back, but no one bothered to call me back, till I had to ask for his direct email to send him an email about our cancellation. Still he would not cancel our contract even though I told him there was no point advertising our business on Yellow Pages Website if my business is non-existent. That is false advertising. But he did not care, they only want your money. He said I still have to pay till end of the term, which would be 8 months to go. I felt threatened that when he said, otherwise, it would go to collection office. I guess with their ineffectiveness and bad customer services that they are losing money, so they need non-existent businesses to support them. By the way, Yellow Pages is the only company that is not willing to cancel contract. All other companies my business dealt with were happy to cancel their contracts as soon as I told them we sold our business. Be smart, you judge whether you should start advertising with them.
Date My Age is a phony app. It has fake profiles and fake "conversations." Also they will fraud your credit/debit card. After you buy a membership, the site says you can look at profiles. However I found out later that every time you click a profile they charge you money! Also they ask you only once if you want to buy more credits to talk to a person but after that they don't let you know when your credits have run out so they keep charging and taking money from your account.
I have had to open a fraud complaint with my bank. The site won't refund my money.
STAY AWAY!
Answer: Hire a lawyer. They are scam artists... trust me. Stay far away from this company
Answer: Our contractual terms are for a 12-month period (or a 6-month period for certain products). Customers are able to cancel their contract with Yellow Pages by providing notice 3 months before the expiry of the term. If not, contracts automatically renew, as mentioned in our terms and conditions. We invite you to contact us at 1-844-875-4290 to discuss this further. Thank you.
Answer: They also posted my personal information to their site without permission. I recommend reporting them to Canada's Anti-spam regulatory body. You can report them here: https://www.fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S
Answer: My son in high school was harassed by a telemarketer and said no. He created an IT website in HS for a class. Two months later I got an invoice for $57 month. I told them my son has a Communication Learning Disability, a Medical Disability and is being treated for PTSD. They refused to help. I will go to BBB and ask my lawyer. My son should have hung up but they coerced him and he was too young and naive to know better. Shame on them!
