I used Yellow Pages for my business advertisement. It's simply SCAM & tried to get out of their contract & stuck for one year. NEVER EVER USE YELLOWPages for marketing. It's a SCAM!
My husband, daughter, and myself, went here with great expectations after seeing this Tea Room advertised in a Vancouver Island visitor's book. What a disappointment-compared to all that we have been to-and there were many! The tea for two platter of $54 was crazy for what we were given. Top layer was some small fruits, then a sandwich cut in four between us, of excess bland cream cheese with 2 thick tomato slices. Next was a tiny croissant each of agsin, thick cucumber, and the same blob of bland cream cheese. Desert was a huge scone- which was nice- with lemon curd and raspberry jam, and whipped cream. Then two tiny one- bite squares between us. Since I am diabetic, I asked for more savoury than sweet- the answer to that was 2 tiny egg sandwiches each! It was awful and tasteless. The most annoying part was that there were three woman at the next table in this small room a few feet away from us, who were having their tea leaves read, and the woman doing this was talking out loud for all three readings containing some very personal questions, and her own "readings." "We began to feel embarrassed for them, and had to talk louder to hear our own conversations-never mind us trying to block out the too personal information about these women. It was very ridiculous to be put in this situation. As well, another disappointment was that there were only maybe four very ordinary, everyday, at home teas to choose from. I tried to like this, as it was an "experience" for us in what looked like a cute old house with some history to it, but WHAT a price to pay for the two pieces of cucumber, and tomato and a very unrelaxing hour!. Our daughter had the plowman's lunch -and so help me, I won't even go there about that!
This is the honest truth, and I am sad to give such a review, but we felt angry, and disappointed, and the tea reading woman thing was just icing on the cake that we would love to have had!.
And they say they won't cancel a contract after I already paid 2300$. Total $#*!ing rip off. I would never use their app I would NEVER EVER recommend this crap to ANYONE!
Most horrible service. Service? Haven't yet shown me any! What a joke of a company!
Had to rate a 1 but if there was a 0 I would of clicked on that!
My Business was a multi year client of YP and I like to think I am relatively decent at looking over things. However, when dealing with yellow pages you need a lawyer to revoew the contract and god forbid you want service. I closed a second location mid year and askd for the advertising be reformatted and changed to a remaining location. Was never completed. Then my contract was up and my yp rep never contacted me as they had for 5 years so i made the assumption that it was done and I was in the of selling my business so I said no big deal. Then I kept getting bills. After 3 to 4 months and due to severe medical issues which kept me from addresing it sooner i attempted to contacy my rep. Thye said something looks strange and said he would get back to me but never did. I figured not my problem. Then their legal department got involved and the account is in the hands of a collection agency with a name that sounds like a law firm but isnt. More deception from yp. Now they are still billing me over a year later for a company not even in operation! Just stay away. There is no good to come from dealing with yellow pages. None. Just stay away. I am awaiting legal documents from them so i can take them to a lawyer. If this has affected my personal credit in any way it is YP who will need a lawyer.
Don't use it as it's all to put you in contract even your services don't even start. Not even deserve 1 star.
I identified with all the reviews here, YP is the worse service I had ever paid for! I wish I read this website before signing the contract!
Store location and products I find comfortable prices. Cigarettes and vape products
Sitting and Relaxing
Opened during holidays
Tried to file a negative review on an AWFUL dealership, but this site made me join their services to post the review, yet they did NOT post the review.
My billing is wrong and my ads are wrong. Try contacting these turkeys. Poor customer service... And they keep billing away.
They lock you into a contract and do not do anything avoid at all cost. Big scam! Avoid at all cost!
Way overpriced, bad service, and terrible leads - who uses Yellow Pages anyways? Crabby people that are your worst clients.
I'm being billed for services that I never ordered and can't get them to stop. Yellow Pages is a total scam!
Useless Piece of $#*! company. Scam, fake reviews, run by crooks.
Runs small businesses to the ground
Corporate Greed
Warm Protection doors' after sales service is abysmal to non existence. Don't touch them with a barge pole
Completely biased, we wrote a negative review regarding banking institutions and they did not allow to publish it
Singularily the worst experience I have ever encountered from a marketing partner. And this after investing in their service for over a decade. Hard to say if it is a training issue, a cultural issue or both, but, we experienced absolutely terrible account management resulting in being charged for services we no longer required over several months this past fall. We did receive a credit after some effort and escalating our issue... but essentially we had a "dead" website that did not represent our brand and the changes our company went through through the COVID-19 period, and, was not well marketed.
When we looked around for another solution and decided to try another parter for a new website and other services... YP decided to continue charging us for digital services until the end of our contract. There was no ackowledgement of the terrible service we received, the awful, disfunctional website we had, or the many years of partnership we had with them (valued at $400K+).
The explanation? They had already forecasted their revenues to shareholders and could do nothing for us. Further, their contracts are structured to lock clients in over multiple timeframes making it challenging to ease out of them.
We will never engage with this awful compnay again and highly recommend you do the same.
My husband and I owned and operated a small business in 2015-2017. We contacted Yellow Pages to inquire about their services and somehow got locked into a 1 year verbally agreed contract which could not be cancelled until we paid out the full year. We didn't find any of this out until after we received the first bill and called and attempted to cancel. Which after the first cancellation request, they told us they would cancel. However, when we got a second bill the next month and called again, that's when they told us it can't be cancelled until we've paid the bills and even then we'd have to fulfill the full year's 'agreement'. We refused to pay since they hadn't been honest with us and hadn't even provided any services. They continued harassing and billing us even after we closed our business and moved. Then, last year they sent us a new letter threatening to take legal action if we didn't pay within so many days. We attempted to contact them several times about this but gave up when no one would answer or return our calls or emails. It didn't stop them from continually billing us though! Then today (4/7/19) they had their lawyer from CLT call and give us an ultimatum: We had until 3pm eastern time to pay $5298. 15 as their settlement offering otherwise they'd sue us for over $10,000. We weighed the pros and cons and concluded not to take further risks by fighting and therefore paid the money. We asked for a written agreement and/or recording of the phone call confirming full release of any obligations to YP if we made the payment (prior to) but they refused to send anything until after the payment was made and on the following day (So we made our own recording). We'll see if they come through with it tomorrow. This entire business practice is outrageous and extortion at it's best. We want our money back and for this company to be shut down permanently.
Answer: Hire a lawyer. They are scam artists... trust me. Stay far away from this company
Answer: Our contractual terms are for a 12-month period (or a 6-month period for certain products). Customers are able to cancel their contract with Yellow Pages by providing notice 3 months before the expiry of the term. If not, contracts automatically renew, as mentioned in our terms and conditions. We invite you to contact us at 1-844-875-4290 to discuss this further. Thank you.
Answer: They also posted my personal information to their site without permission. I recommend reporting them to Canada's Anti-spam regulatory body. You can report them here: https://www.fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S
Answer: My son in high school was harassed by a telemarketer and said no. He created an IT website in HS for a class. Two months later I got an invoice for $57 month. I told them my son has a Communication Learning Disability, a Medical Disability and is being treated for PTSD. They refused to help. I will go to BBB and ask my lawyer. My son should have hung up but they coerced him and he was too young and naive to know better. Shame on them!
