I don't understand how a company like this is allowed to operate - other than living in a country that is owned and run by corporate shills. They basically knock a hole in your business then force you to sign a contract to "fix" the damage they did. Don't even talk to them about your "FREE listing". It's not. And they made it.
I operated a business for a few years, I have never missed a payment, I now have sold and closed my business, permanently. I closed the contract of advertising early which required full payment for the remainder of that annual contract which was five (5) months, I had no problem and paid it in full immediately. NOW LITERALLY 5 YEARS LATER THE BUSINESS IS BEING ADVERTISED STILL WITH INCORRECT INFORMATION SHOWING PERSONAL INFORMATION OF EMPLOYEES AND THEY DO NOT REPLY TO ANY CORRESPONDENCE. Imagine 5 years later after closing, yellow page still cannot complete what they agreed to after paying for closing my business account and still continue to mislead people about this business that no longer exists.
I do not recommend their service at all.
I would never recommend to my worst enemy! Such a joke of a company. Requested multiple times for changes, then to cancel and still I'm
Being billed. Wrong information on the site, wrong address and wrong hours as well. Spent hours and hours on hold, hired a marketing guy who ended up giving up after dozens of hours on hold. Steer clear of these scam artists!
They make a pretty website, but that's pretty much it. Horrible customer service, impossible to get through on the phone, and poorly functioning websites. Their fees are ridiculous for what you get, and you have to pay even more to have a remotely effective SEO for your website. I would NEVER suggest YP to anyone, and cannot wait to get out of my contract and move on. YP, if you let me out of contract, I might stop posting reviews...
We would put a negative 5 star if possible. Not only did they not cancel the end of our one year contract, but without contacting us, renewed the contract for another year. The customer service wants to "explain" the situation on the extra charges that came out of our business account for 2 extra months. They wouldn't have issued a refund cheque if we wouldn't have called after almost three months to request one. Finally last month they took the payment out of our account and we were charged NSF from the bank. They don't take any ownership of any wrong doing. I had to request a manager 5 times and had to tell the representation to "shut up and put your manager on the phone" before getting anywhere. After 5 minutes on hold was told that no managers were available and they were "all in a meeting". They just wanted to explain the charges and that we were getting a refund, but can't get anywhere with anyone at this company!

I am a business owner, and have repeatedly tried to have the information on their listing of my business updated, for the past 3 years, and no one ever replies, responds, or changes the information... very frustrating!
We decided to pay for ads on yellow pages after the sales man promised us things that sounded to good to be true! They were! We got a total of 0 leads from yellow pages after 1 year and $2000. We tried to cancel our subscription several times and they would constantly give us the run around. They will bully small compaines that do not want thier credit ruined to pay for a service they do not provide!

I'm currently fighting to get my services canceled. Horrible customer service and will tell every person i know to stay clear of this horrible company. They don't care about your business needs. All they want is your money and you will get nothing in return.

Yellow Pages is the worst company to go with to promote your business. I wanted to cancel my ad and they signed me back up for another year without asking me which is against the law! When I called to complain you have to stay on hold for forty minutes waiting to talk for someone. My request was completed but then I had to phone back another 8 times to get the ad down and talk more about billing. They are here only to make money not to help you. Each time I called them the rep. Wouldn't process the information to take my ad down. I have owned my business for a long time and they truly a good representative for any company to be with.

I think they need to set up something for the small business owner. They charge a lot of money for what you get. Its so much cheaper to just set up you own webpage. Honestly who looks at the yellow pages anymore anyway. Everyone google's everything now anyway.

You signed a contract that says you need to cancel your service 3 months before the renewal date. They certainly don't make it clear and then you need to remember to do it. They will be happy to renew a brand new 1 year contract and have you on the hook for the next year if you forget. They don't call to see if you want to continue, or if you are happy with the service you're receiving... They just want you to keep paying. You'll get nowhere by calling in about it other than making this the last contract when it expires.
I specifically asked if I could cancel at anytime, they said yes; didn't tell me I'd still be under contract for a year. They claimed they sent an email asking if I wanted to renew -No they did not. Trust me I would not renewed!
After paying subscription these ppl are taking your pocket customers to other business houses.
The lady * Id yellow pages is the most indisciplined person I have gone through.

Did not contact Yellow Pages 3MONTHS in advance of renewal date, thus they continue to bill me, which I have refused to pay. Told that the only way to get out of the contract is to DIE! Or go out of business. As neither one of those is an option I want to take, I talked to my bank and they have taken the steps to refuse payment to Yellow Pages. Thus I keep getting calls from accounts payable. Try to contact service and the wait times to actually talk to someone is 30 -45 min. Got a contact name, Sonya and left numerous messages to her voice mail and get no response. Yellow pages has been around for a long time and I thought they were a reputable company, my bad!

These extortionist dirt bags are trying to collect ongoing payment for a service they wont let me cancel. Not only is their platform irrelevant in todays business world, but theyu must resort to extortion to earn a living. Sad desperation from a dying company. Don't sign up. They never let you quit them.

Yellow pages online advertising is a complete waste of money, and the organization is set up to screw customers. YP is very good at sounding like they are offering value and promising results when in fact they an obsolete parasite clawing at whoever they can on their way down the toilet. After being bilked for $2500 and recieving absolutely no results in return, I dearly wish I had read the reviews. Avoid at all costs!
If you have a problem don't expect to get it fixed anytime soon. If I ran my business like this, I would be out of business. Either they don't care that they goofed up or they are just too busy fixing other goof ups that yours will just have to wait till they get around to it. It's been a month now and I am still waiting.

What a company wow? No words
They got me on voice recording on December 7th 2016 when I was dealing with my TV guys and my 6 month old kid. I somehow agreed after they made 50 + calls. But I told them that I am not ready to advertise till March 2017 and they agreed and recorded me. On January 25th when I saw 1000's of bad reviews about company online I decided to cancel and they you all know what they say about verbal contracts and collection calls. I did not receive a single call from their ads. They force their bad product on you. There is not even one positive review about this stupid company. I really wish that this business should shut down ASAP.

I see I'm not the only one having difficulties dealing with this company. They placed my ad with my competitors web site and wanted me to pay, I lost business and it took them almost 9 months to resolve the problem. When i asked to cancel my account, they gave me a date to cancel by, I sent them emails with my permission to cancel, and a month later they said i missed the deadline. What a joke. Now they are billing me for another year, with a higher rate. I never received notification if i wanted to renew or advising me of a price increase.
I think since I'm seeing many of the same complaints, i'm thinking this is a good story for Market Place, BBB or contacting a lawyer to proceed in a class action.

Answer: They also posted my personal information to their site without permission. I recommend reporting them to Canada's Anti-spam regulatory body. You can report them here: https://www.fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S
Answer: My son in high school was harassed by a telemarketer and said no. He created an IT website in HS for a class. Two months later I got an invoice for $57 month. I told them my son has a Communication Learning Disability, a Medical Disability and is being treated for PTSD. They refused to help. I will go to BBB and ask my lawyer. My son should have hung up but they coerced him and he was too young and naive to know better. Shame on them!
