The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I bought 2 tickets to see Rigaletto at the royal opera house.
I had been rushing around trying to find somewhere special to take my wife for our anniversary.
I have quite a hectic work schedule and was trying to get the tickets at short notice.
I foolishly believed the scarcity claims on their site and later found out that I had paid about 10x the price for a normal ticket.
Disgusting!
Don't use this site, beware it's a con, no point giving details only to say there is nothing fair or honest about the way they are trading, and consumers should be better protected but unfortunately we aren't
Unbelievable fraudulent operation! I am somewhat surprised that they have not been shut down yet. Isn't there some regulatory body for scam businesses?
Bought World Cup tickets in late November. In order to attend a World Cup match, a Fan ID is required. Fan ID also functions as a visa to Russia, which I obviously need. Fan ID can't be issued without a ticket number. When I contacted Viagogo about ticket number, they completely blew me off and said I have to wait indefinitely. No other information is available. Most frustrating, this scam of a company does not have a way to contact them. Yes, this is right. You have to pre-select from a list of questions which they put together for you. If answer is not there, which of course it is not, you have to contact them via email. Much later you get a response saying "seller of tickets hasn't contacted us yet." I'm going through my bank to dispute these fraudulent charges since I have no way of getting a visa or attending a match without a ticket number. Viagogo, no legitimate company would ever operate without a customer service number. You are a scam and a fraud
RIP OFF. I can only repeat what others before me already said. Booked a ticket to see Queen@ Wembley on the first official day of the sale and Viagogo was the first link to pop up so I purchased my ticket from them. I am a huge Queen fan and, as apparently tickets were selling extremely fast, I clicked pay as soon as I could. Now, A few days a go I checked ticket availability on other ticket-selling websites and the tickets were still available at half the price I had paid! But guess what, the extra almost £80 were the Viagogo fees! RIP OFF, AVOID, THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET.
It's an embarrassment that this company is continuing to operate. It's reputation is appalling and yet it continues to swindle customers every single day.
It has no regard for consumer law in the countries in which it operates and more generally it has no respect for people. It's sole interest is making vast sums of money, at whatever human cost.
I have never known a company to use such a range of dirty tactics to mislead customers. It deliberately positions itself at top of search listings (so unaware customers end up thinking Viagogo is the official ticket seller), the website is filled with tricks to pressure customers into buying quickly, and the customer service is, without question, easily the worst of any company operating in this marketplace. Viagogo doesn't seem to mind telling lies to customers and they make it near impossible to contact them. So when things go wrong, you can do very little indeed.
With a Head Office in Switzerland, they've deliberately made it very difficult for consumers to take Legal action against them.
The UK Government earlier this year said that Viagogo is routinely flouting laws designed to protect consumers and summoned the company (and others) to a parliamentary hearing. Guess what? Viagogo failed to show up (but the other re-selling websites did). I think this tells you everything about how Viagogo operates.
As consumers, if we stand together and use alternative reselling websites we might help to do damage to Viagogo's dominant position and hit them where it hurts - financially!
Governments must act now to close down this business.
Ripoff merchants
£657 for 2 Peter Kay tickets outrageous.
Case ID: ******* and Case ID: *******
Viagogo should refund money due to this legislation http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/90
Tickets were finally sent to us within 24 hours of the event, we bought them as a gift.
Called and emailed for days and could not get a true answer.
My wife accidentally got to this website instead of the official website. The website made us feel there were no more tickets available and charged us 3 times as much. Also, they don't guarantee a specific ticket, but just an area as they don't have the tickets yet. I went to the official site and got official tickets for 1/3 of the price.
Do not use this site. It is a huge scam. Next step is BBB.
Best,
Lance
Bought tickets for Goldfish New Year concert SA in Cape Town, paid more than double the list price, don't go there its a scam, avoid at all costs, close them down.
Do not buy of this site. Bought tickets for £296. Face value £105. They even added on an £80 booking fee. They do not send you out tickets till the week of the event so you don't know this on booking. Would never use again!
Never buy any ticket from these guys. They are an absolute bunch of scammers. They sell tickets at much greater price than its actual price from official sources.
Purchased tickets then viagogo. Could not supply tickets total waste of time will never use again. Purchase from a reputable company
We ordered tickets for tomorrow at the FlyDSA arena through viagogo and they never arrived - spent over £200. When we contacted Viagogo about the fact we never got our email confirmation or tickets, they have refused to help us or offer any solutions. I am disgusted
Bought two tickets for the Iron Maiden concert in Madrid only to be sold two tickets in different rows. Having written twice I have now been told that the seller made a genuine mistake. Obviously no one at Viagogo speaks Spanish. I am now waiting for two replacements... can you see that pig fly?
Not only do they contravene multiple laws by scalping event tickets, but they also greatly inflate the prices with hidden administration costs. These admin fees are often higher than ticket fees themselves.
It is no surprise that they are under investigation for fraud in multiple countries.
Only giving 1 star as I cannot give 0
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY
Absolute rip off merchants who do not give a jot about their customers = Blatantly lie, make false misleading claims and if you need to contact them are extremely unhelpful, churning out nothing but pre prepared generic responses at best and more lies and false promises at worst
Will NEVER book via this site again - Customer service is absolutely abysmal and they do not answer or deal with any queries or concerns at all. Complaints do not get passed on as promised and no one gets back to you - you just go round in a circle of getting fobbed off with ridiculous responses that don't answer the issues raised
USE AT YOUR OWN PERIL - I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO FAITH IN THIS COMPANY OR THEIR SO CALLED GUARANTEES AT ALL
I actually listed my tickets as e ticket by mistake. The concert was on 19th november. I told them i have a physical pass and if you provide an address i can ship it. Then i waited for like 2 weeks and on 15th november they send me the address and i deliver the tickets by 17th. After that they told me to wait 8 days for payment. Now when i asked them for the cash they are like the deadline to send the ticket was 14th November. How can i send the tickets on 14th if they provide the tickets only on 15th. These people lack basic common sense.
We purchased tickets for Wales v South Africa International. The tickets were advertised at £85.00 per tickets (x 4). On receipt and download they were in fact child tickets. This was not advertised as such on viagogo's website prior to download and on their receipt. We will not be able to go as we are not children under the age of 16. They are in breach of e-commerce regulations and the sale of Goods and Services Act. On contacting viagogo via telephone they sent a different receipt that now states child concession. They have changed the receipt. We have evidence of original advertisement and receipt stating the opposite. We put this to them. They did not respond when we sent this to them via there complaints procedure and, whist on the telephone, s$#*!ed and laughed at us.
Whilst it would not be fair to comment on the original seller's legitimacy the receipt was also in Russian Ruble and not Sterling as originally advertised.
Having contacted the WRU we have been informed that they have received numerous calls similar to ours but they can not do anything as they did not sell us the tickets.
This and the attributable loss connected to this (transport, accommodation etc) is over £1000. 00
TRADING STANDARDS, DISPATCHES, PANORAMA, PLEASE GET THESE GUYS BEFORE THEY RIP HALF THE COUNTRY OFF.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE
Long story but please read and watch out for this company! I purchased a ticket through Viagogo, but did not receive it in time for the event, despite Viagogo's terms stating that "When You purchase tickets on viagogo, viagogo guarantees that You will receive the tickets You paid for in time for the event." Viagogo will not give you any information about ticket pick up time and location (if the tickets are not e-tickets) until after you purchase the ticket. I was traveling on the day of the show I bought the ticket for and my flight was delayed. I called Viagogo at the number provided in my confirmation email in case of complications on the day of the event, and I was told that they would be in touch later with options to help me receive my ticket. Apparently the only solution to this problem was to have someone else in Nottingham pick up the ticket for me. Of course this was a ridiculous suggestion considering I would have done so if I had known someone, so I asked for a refund but was refused one without an explanation as to why I could not get my ticket at a later time or why I could not get a refund. I traveled to another country to see this show and paid well over face value for the ticket, but it was a complete waste of money. If they would make the pick up time/location clear prior to purchase, customers would be aware of the risk they would be taking in making the purchase, but for some reason they wait until after you purchase the ticket and then won't issue refunds if you can't get the ticket, and on top of that won't even try to help you get the ticket outside of the 1.5 hour pick up window. From my experience, Viagogo is incapable of accommodating its customers, as well as lacks foresight in considering customers' potential travel plans or complications with the ticket pick up time/location, and is staffed by extremely uncooperative and incompetent customer service representatives. Not to mention that Viagogo's terms also state "In the rare instance that a problem arises and the original ticket Seller does not provide You with the tickets listed for sale, viagogo will, in its sole and absolute discretion, review comparably priced tickets and offer You replacement tickets at no additional cost, or viagogo will issue You a refund for the cost of the tickets." Clearly Viagogo does not hold itself to the same standard if IT fails to provide a ticket. I emailed the company on the day I returned home and got no response, so I emailed again the next day and still no response. Absolutely and completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If I can discourage one person from using this God-awful company then that is all I can hope for. DO NOT USE VIAGOGO.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
