I bought two football tickets, they issued E-tickets, but when we went to the venue, ticket controllers said the QR are completely in wrong format and same sits are sold many times. I tried to call them no answer.
Tickets controller told us they see many people in each match buying these fake tickets.
I had to cancel my CC just in case they take more money from my account
All in all a decent experience. I live in San Francisco and wanted tickets to the Ajax v Groningen match last month in Amsterdam. The tickets I got from Viagogo were well priced (better than primary) and available electronically. The 'guest' checkout flow was efficient and while not truly a guest experience, it was reasonably well structured. The game itself was something else, everything I wanted out of a top flight European football experience (except for the rain, but what do you want in the wintertime in northern Europe?).
This is a secondary ticket marketplace so there are obviously fees that were charged over the face value of the seats. Until or unless primary ticket sources get their act together sites like Viagogo and StubHub are often better options. To my mind the experience was worth the money and since I did research ahead of time I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of.
Viagogo claimed the seats I was buying were "Close to the stage" - row 6 in fact! Turns out they were in the highest section in the very back row on the side... No seat could have been further from the stage. They also made no mention of the 180 EURO "service charge" on top of the ticket price until after they charged my credit card. As for the ticket price itself - it ended up being 10 times the face value of the ticket! Viagogo has perfectly combined their false and misleading selling statements with 'urgency marketing' to hook you in and then exploit you. Recommend to stay away!
I am beyond frustrated with this company. First I was gouged on the price, but didn't know that till later. When my event was cancelled 3 times I asked for a refund. Well, forget that! I was told I could sell my tickets but good luck finding an area in their website to do that! I've asked for help multiple times, but of course, I've gotten none. If I could get to everyone trying to buy tickets on this disreputable website I would. If the company would just respond! I'm in the US and a company like this with such poor customer support would be out of business in no time! They offered me an opportunity to rate my recent experience. Too bad there's no black stars to do this! Buyer beware! Go someplace else!
It's a total scam, we bought 4 tickets for Harry Style Mexico 6 months ago and they didn't deliver the tickets.
We already call them several times and nobody answers us or gives a solution.
They practically stole our money.
The only reason I have given 2 stars is because I did receive my tickets and they were valid. HOWEVER I was beside myself on the day of purchase with all the extra charges added on to my bill at the end! This should be much clearer when purchasing to avoid people feeling conned. Extortionate booking and shipping fee's for a e-ticket?! It is also shady the way they have so called live updates flashing on your screen when purchasing - almost identical ones 3 months later for the same tickets? Hmm this company doesn't sit well with me...
We got great seats, but didn't realize there was an additional handling charge. Oh well, great seats to the concert, despite the fact that they were in someone else's name, which was a little worrisome. Worked out okay though.
All good, I recommend the web site 100%. No problem with the transaction, zero issue with the tickets.
Very smooth and simple transfer. The process or buying was easy and the tickets were genuine. Will recommend
Scammers. My friend bought us tickets to see Gipsy Kings at The Bristol Beacon with Viagogo, (at what we now know was double the price in the first place) only to discover when we got there that our tickets were invalid, the seats had already been sold by the venue to other people so ours technically didn't exist. Viagogo had sold us over priced tickets for seats that were not available. We had to buy new tickets (which cost half the price thankfully) and we're pursuing a refund. AVOID.
Husband purchased 2 cricket tickets at £240, when printed face value was £85, then received email to say rip the tickets up as the reseller didnt have them available - offered more tickets at extortionate prices or offered refund - awaiting refund. Checked cricket site and it advised reseller tickets not likely to get in - why doesnt the government scrap reseller sites then none of these unscrupulous people would just purchase in bulk just to resell. Cheat cheat cheat
Tickets paid. Confirmation states electronic tickets not to be delivered until the week before the concert. (2&1/2 months after purchase)
The seating area east and west does not coincide with the sections in the seating map.
Do they really have the tickets to sell or are they speculating? Legal notice indicates a Geneva company address.
Claim they do not refund but only offer to resell the apparently nonexistent tickets purchased for sale to another..
There is a reason this company is rated 1 star, honestly worst ticket sellers I have dealt with. Do not buy tickets from this company, they will take no accountability once they have your money.
My tickets arrived later that advertised by 3 days which ended up costing me way more in travel arrangements as I had to be home to sign for them and could not cancel my pre-arrangements. The ticket was not the same ticket as advertised, but they said it's an equivalent ticket so it does not matter. They lied about the face value of my ticket and refused to give me a refund. Customer service do not care and only give you scripted responses. Be warned tickets could arrive as late as on the day of the event and it may not be the same seating on the ticket you ordered, as long as they see it as equivalent they will not refund you. Never buying tickets from this company again and I will warn everyone I know about the bad experience I had with them.
MY PARTNER WAS CONNED BY BEING TOLD 98% of tickets were sold. Venue says not. Then pressured to buy quickly or miss out. At purchase a pop up blocked the amount of the payment.
She paid a total of $862.37 for tickets that retail for $109.90. She bought 3, so $333. Should be right.
These bandits charged $216.49 per ticket. Then $180.43 booking few then $32.47 handling fee.
She has cried all night. RIPPED OFF AND made to. Feel stupid too. This was our annual treat we are pensioners.
How do these people sleep at night. Lodged a scam with.the bank
They refer you to their Terms and conditions which don't reference a seller ever being charged fees! I got charged $80 which is more than the ticket price! No customer service number no replies automated generic responses! Stay away from them!
Look at all these bad reviews below! Gross
Husband bought Dynamo tickets as a surprise! Absolutely ripped off charged him $478.00 for 2 x $79.90 tickets in the worse seating... Bad Form Viagogo more like Via dont go! Stay away from this $#*!e site!
Purchased 2 tickets for Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, costing £290.00!. The show was cancelled! Viagogo refuse to give a refund. Very rude customer service team who advised several times that a manager would call me back... but no one ever did!
Avoid this company - it's a scam, bought Tickets to see Rick Astley 10 x months in advance. Two days prior to concert was told their seller had not met dead line? Only found out because I chased. Customer service is no where to be found. Still waiting for the refund after chasing 2 x weeks later!
"AVOID"
Recently received my tickets for Taylor Swift face valve £55 x2 = £110 plus booking fee maybe £5 each approx = 10, so that would equal = £120, so why did Viagogo charge me £265, these tickets were bought on the 1st day of sale and where up in the gods not even close to the stage.
Lesson learned, don't make the same mistake as me... stay away from Viagogo...
People get jailed for less, robbing gets.
Paid £250 for 2 tickets to Tony Bennet Lady Gaga show, got there to find out show cancelled. That was over a month ago. Lost count how many times I've requested refunding, not going to give up, I want my money back. Rubbish company, wont ever deal with them again
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.
