New item, great communication with the seller. I was too excited for an alert on these popular sneakers.
Amazing seller, great communication- absolutely beautiful bag! Beyond my expectations! Arrived early too, extremely happy customer
The site lets purchase go through, however, item may not actually be available. If unavailable, seller can wait a week to release funds.
Dear AV, we kindly remind that sellers are given 7 days to ship their sold item indeed. We invite our members to engage whenever they can with the seller thanks to the
Very happy with purchase. Item arrived quickly from Europe to US. I was updated on package progress.

Everything I have purchased to date has been nicely packaged, prompt arrival, and looks in person as pictured on website.
Highly recommend this seller, received my order quickly, and quality matched perfectly the description
I have been given false information by a seller and still could not return the item! Useless customer service.

I have made 5 purchases on VC. 3 of them were fine, despite one of them being a bag that was scratched when the listing didn't say so. I just ignored it thinking I loved the bag too much to care. The remaining 2 purchases were nightmares, with my most recent one still undergoing bank and PayPal disputes.
I purchased a wallet after the seller said on the listing that it was excellent condition with normal darkening at corners and no damage. I even left a comment on the page asking the seller to confirm if there are scuffs or damages, to which she said no, it's got no sign of use. Pictures didn't show damage either. Then the product arrived after a quick DHL shipping and what?! Peeled leather at the front. Corners scratched, showing the white under layer (this isn't normal darkening?!) I emailed and did a live chat with Vestiaire on the same day and they promised full refund on both occasions.
I even have the email proof that they confirmed full refund. All these happened within 72 hours of their golden period of relisting without commission btw, so one might think the nightmare is sorted. I shipped the product back to their hub the next business day.
By then it was beyond 72 hours, catering for an additional 3 days of international shipping. It finally arrived at their hub today. Guess what? They then issued an email saying the product is compliant and now I can either 1) have the product back by requesting it within 24 hours 2) relist with commission fee.
I almost wish I made more damages before I returned the product so they have no chance of saying it's compliant. I emailed them for a proper, formal quality control report. As usual, I got no answer.
Their customer service team is also hard to get so 24 hours = ridiculously chasing time zone difference trying to get in touch with their team while making quick decisions to compromise because a big company like that is nothing but money hungry.
I'm in Australia. This is not compliant with the Consumer Law. So Aussie customers, beware!
Parcel came damaged. No certificate of authentication/ quality check from the company. The item was suspiciously fake, dirty and different from what was shown on the website. Reached out to the company for assistance and all they say is something along the lines of 'you can send it back to us for a second quality check, then resell the item if you would like your money back'.
The only response I had to their 'help' was WTF. Firstly I'm not asking for a refund due to change of mind. The item they said they had performed quality check on had too many problems for me to ignore. Secondly, they want me to pay them again to resell the item. You serious?
The customer service team based in their French headquarters is nothing but useless (sorry for being harsh). I told them what happened and the staff either didn't understand me, or they want to dodge responsibility. Told me more than once to just contact the consignment team to resell the good if I'm not happy, then end of story I never heard for them again.
I've truly not a had a problem using Vestiaire Collective. Easy purchasing and easy communications with sellers when making an offer.
I don't even want to give this company one star to be honest. To begin with this company was fine to sell through but of late it's a total mess. 'Quality Control', if you can call it that, has absolutely no idea about brands. Fact. I recently sold an item, sent it off same day, they received it on 4th August and then kicked off about the item being listed in Childrenswear. It wasn't and I proved this by sending them a snapshot of the listing, pointing out that it was in fact listed correctly in Womenswear. They then changed their tune and said that the item was Childrenswear. It isn't as the brand I sold doesn't sell Childrenswear. They literally had no comeback in what I proved them wrong on, but still today have marked the item as non compliant... 17 DAYS LATER. Incidentally, I emailed every single day and received just one response. They have ignored every other email I have sent. The buyer also left a message stating that they wanted to buy the item and wanted to know what was going on. So they are playing the seller (me) off against the buyer and vice versa, It's so incredibly unprofessional. I actually called them this morning and the guy, although very nice, is clearly unable to do or say anything except to 'urgently elevate the case further'. I can't be bothered waiting a further month for the 'wise' to decide on the fate of my womenswear cape so I am having my item returned. There are much better sites to sell on. I would suggest using those if you want a professional service where the company is interested in their business and clients rather than just taking the money. My item better be returned in the perfect, unworn, tags still attached, brand new condition it was sent. Just saying...
I am a pro seller on VC and recently most of our authentic items are declined.
We have a quantity of the same items for sale (mainly ysl bags) they are all authentic and mostly new and unworn. VC declares a bunch of them as inauthentic, some others as authentic. All bought from the same supply and they are all guaranteed authentic without any flaws- they do still come with plastic wrapping. VC miraculously declares some of them as on in "good condition" with marks and signs of wear. They are all authenticated by one or two thirdparties which VC doesnt accept. For some items they continuously ask for receipts when certain items just dont have one. They should be the experts but they are not.
From yyears of experience with them i can only say one thing AVOID AT ALL COSTS as a SELLER especially PRO SELLERS. We only have issues with them and they keep getting worse and worse by the week. Their. Customer service sucks. Not the same person addressing issues so you have to repeat yourself continously.
Please find below the quality report that VC sent to me and the buyer then cancelled the sale - the item was new with plastic wrapping paper and everything. It has never been used but ofc opened to take photos and apparently there have been scratches on the hardware and on the back of the bag - DEAR incompetent TEAM! The leather welding on the backside of this YSL bag is normal - THATS how they are sold.
So all together we have 3 cancelled sales - 2 according to them inauthenic -when double authenticated and one the buyer cancelled because of their $#*!ty quality report. The item could not have been any newer!

I'm a seasoned buyer and seller on sites such as TheRealReal and Poshmark. I decided to give Vestiaire Collective a try and purchased a $1,800 luxury handbag that I couldn't find elsewhere. I'll spare you the details, but I tried to use a $25 promo code they emailed me while I went through the checkout process, but it wasn't automatically applied. I didn't want to lose the bag, so I went ahead and purchased.
I contacted customer service via chat and they refused to deduct the amount from the purchase. The customer service rep even blamed me for not applying the "automatic: discount correctly and said it's against their policy to retroactively apply promos. They could only give me a code toward future purchases. What kind of rigid customer service is this? Clearly meant to protect their pockets, at the buyers' expense.
Also, you can't return a purchase if it doesn't match the description, only relist the item within 72 hours (fingers crossed that it resells). Oh, and if you try to talk about the site via their chat they permanently ban you from messaging.
THIS PLATFORM DOES NOT PROTECT THE BUYER, ONLY THEIR PROFITS. I WARN ALL BUYERS TO NEVER USE THIS SITE.
Please don't be as dumb as I was and trust Vestiaire Collective. I normally shop with Tradesy and only used this site because of them. WRONG! I ordered a Gucci marmont bag. Before they "authenticated" it, I told them through the chat that I don't think it's authentic because I realized the serial number is in the wrong place and so is the stitching. They GUARANTEED me that it is real and shipped it over, despite me asking to cancel the order. Its supposed to be nearly 13 inches, why did I get a bag that's less than 4 inches and can't even go up my arm!? GUCCI DOESNT MAKE THE MARMONT THIS SMALL AT ALL! IT IS FAKE BUT VESTIAIRE STILL APPROVED OF IT DESPITE ME WARNING THEN THST IT IS FAKE. Then to make matters worse, I told them I want a refund and these scandal thieves told me to just "RELIST IT TO OTHER SHOPPERS and good luck making a quick sale". They said I have 72 hours after receiving the item to relist for free. As soon as I got the fake bag, I messaged them again and they've IGNORED ME EVER SINCE. It's been 4 days now. I contacted Affirm and opened a dispute. Also commented on their Instagram. And exposed them to thousands of my followers. And still they haven't responded. If you read this and still shop on their site, you're stupid. Please don't be stupid! There are tons of YouTube videos about these frauds too and other reviews too.! Don't waste your money or time here!

I recently sold a bag for $176 and was charged a commission of 25% by Vestiaire. The USD commission is currently listed as 10% for items $50-250. I attempted to correct this error by offering the buyer a sale price of $170, which would have brought my commission to over $20 more. The system would not let me input this since the item was originally listed at $279 and you can only offer 35% less than original listing price. I reached out to Vestiaire Customer Service(which is now only done though chat and has a significant wait time), they noted to accept the sale and that commission would be corrected. A few days passed and I noticed that the bag was accepted by Vestiare, commission was still not reflected at 10% on my account. Reached out to Vesitiare again, this was my 3rd time since it required two chats with two different associated to get a response on their "IT Issues", and was informed again that this will be corrected before I was paid for the sale. Two days later I was paid for the item with 25% commission taken, reach out to Customer Service via chat again and they informed me that someone will email me in regards to the correction. Finally received an email response from the same associate I spoke to, who informed me to accept the offer, noting that I listed the item in Feb 2020 and the commission was 25%. If I had known this I would have simply cancelled the sale and relisted the item, but I was provided incorrect information by Customer Service Rep 'Renato". This has soured my whole experience with the site and will avoid using it going forward. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I was selling and buying on Vestaire for years and never had any issues. However now I think this website is a complete scam, made to defraud you of your money.
I bought a watch from Jaeger LeCoultre and I couldn't tell from the pictures alone if the watch is authentic or not. So I bought the watch with the Authentication service since I thought I'm protected that way.
However, the watch passed their "authentication". When it arrived finally I was shocked to see that this watch was anything but authentic. It was a Frankenwatch with fake straps and a dial. The dial had a TYPO on it, no watch from JLC would have a TYPO ON THEIR DIAL.
I was shocked and contacted Vestaire to return it, one of their customer representatives helped me get the return done. I was a bit relieved after but now they claim the watch is indeed Authentic. Im in disbelief at how unqualified their "Experts" are, every kid can see that the watch is not authentic.
They however keep my money and don't seem to care.
One Month ago I would have recommended Vestaire to you but, since now I experienced how they scam their loyal customers, STAY AWAY!

The sellers timeframe for shipping an item is too long. This should be controlled by Vestiaire, not by the seller.
Dear Kevin, we're sorry to see that you are not pleased with your experience and that you found the seller's shipping delay too long. You can check all the details regarding this delay in our Help Center, article " How long does the seller have to send my item?" which can vary depending on the seller's location. We remain available should you need assistance on any specific matter and we thank you for your understanding. Best regards, the Vestiaire Collective team
Answer: There are a lot of honest sellers and buyers there (I consider myself one of them) but if anything goes wrong, Vestiaire will do nothing to help, they will spam you with auto replies
Answer: This exact thing happened to me. Completely different top than what was posted. And it still passed their "inspection". I am still fighting with them to no avail. Good luck.
