I have purchased handbag at VerstiaireCollective in "Very Good Condition" which according to the website should arrive without damaged corners or oxidised materials, hardly used and in a very good condition. Instead it arrived with all above mentioned flaws.
Having contacted Verstiaire on several occasions (and with pictures attached) they eventually agreed for me to send it back to another quality control (as clearly 1st time they have not done any).
To my surprise it was sent back to me next day with no explanation and when I tried to contact them again I were advised to write to their legal department. When I further questioned customer service they just ignored my emails.
I would be very careful as information they are providing about the condiiton of the items is incorrect and quality control is non existent.
I can't believe I'm seeing so many horror stories with Vestiaire Collective! I have purchased a Burberry, PRADA, Gucci and Chloé bag off this site and every bag was authentic and in the condition as stated. I even questioned the Burberry bag and their Customer Service went as far as to give me what manufacturing facility it was made at with a letter from Burberry in London. My PRADA bag was sold from a Professional Seller (which are the best to buy from because you have a guaranteed 14 days to decide if you will keep the bag or return it for a full refund.) The PRADA bag was a limited edition, pre-owned but I couldn't believe how well maintained this Seller kept this bag (it was interior/exterior leather- beautiful.) My Gucci bag was practically brand new, I was told, "The bag has barely been used." It was flawless. The Chloé bag was the quilted bay leather bag and still had the original sheeting in the front and back pockets, everything checked out with each bag. If I ever had questions, Customer Service always helped, even giving me free shipping Bc of a Promo Code expiring. It can be time consuming if the bags are not in the "Ready to Ship" status, but I've had the bags looked at in Neiman Marcus, Gucci, Burberry and they were all authentic- by law, if they were fake bags, they would seize the bags. So, it's best to always keep the receipt to every bag purchased "just in case" because if you do decide to go take a Gucci bag you purchased off the internet to a Gucci store to have them look at it, and they deem it a counterfeit... They will take that bag from you right then and there by law. So you're $#*! out of luck, no bag and out however much money spent on the piece of $#*!. I will say a horrible site I have had 2 bad experiences with was Tradesy. I've found identical bags, with identical serial numbers and they would not "take action" until one of the bags was purchased (so they received their cut) THEN I could send the bag to them to "authenticate." Yeah... Sure.
The worst customer service, a system which is unbelievably flawed as you may not receive your item for 30 days! I ordered a dress for a special occasion, in what I thought was enough advance notice to get it in time, but the seller decided to hang on to it for a while - and then VC were so rude to me and would not give me a refund even though I have now missed the occasion I wanted to wear it for and the dress is still in the sellers possession! Ridiculous
Well it has lots of brands at low price, but the quality is a bit disappointing. Might choose somewhere else to shop for second-hand stuff
I can't say enough good things about their customer service. They've gone above and beyond for me! You have to take into consideration the time difference - but I have nothing but love for this site. I went from zero, none, nada zip Christian Louboutin's and the thought that I'll never be able to afford a pair - to being the proud owner of 7 pairs! Hahaha. It is worth it to get their membership - but remember that you're paying for it. And be sure to order things that would normally have a lot of import fees and such. It can pay for itself - and being able to get a jump on some new items... priceless! I love the ladies there... they really are wonderful. Some things sell for incredible amounts of money - so they deal with high dollar customers all the time. My $200 shoes are just a small drop in the bucket - but they made me feel like I was worth a million dollars. Great site.
I purchased a Chanel bag for over $1000. Guaranteed authentic. It looked like the color was off in the photos so I asked for a description of the color and the seller said "platinum." I asked for a photo that shows the true color and it looked white-silver which is what I wanted. The bag I received was grayish pewter. I complained that the color was wrong but they said they don't give refunds. Then on closer inspection of the bag, I saw that there was no authentication sticker. I checked with other identical bags on other sites and they all had proof of authentication via a serial number sticker inside. I told them this and they said they would send it back and have another look. Of course, they came back and told me the bag was authentic and they were sending it back to me. Because of these two reasons I told them not to return the bag to me, that it was the wrong color and also a fake. I called my credit card company and have placed this in dispute. They shipped the bag back to me, but I called FedEx and asked them to turn the shipment around and send it back to Vestiaire, which they did today. I think after the credit card company sees the email conversations plus this web page, they will be convinced that Vestiaire is unscrupulous.
I've used them twice now but never again, which is a shame since I like to hunt for things I love that have worn out and this is a good way of doing it. However first time I used them I purchased a 'new' pair of Chanel sunglasses which had a scratch right across one lens. I saw it immediately I opened the package. When I asked them, they claimed I had made the scratch, which was impossible, and that they had been 'checked.' If you read reviews below you will see that many people have had a similar negative experience. They cost over £300!
Secondly, I work in tech and the web UX (Usability is awful). Screens popping up when not needed and the user journey is clunky and out of date.
Lastly the customer service is ridiculous. My last purchase was 3 weeks ago. It still states 'waiting receipt' so I have chased them and they aren't replying to emails.
Very unfair.
First they do not want to accept my price which I understand, but then they offer me a prise that is ridiculous.! When looking at the other items same origin and style they are sold for much more. How is that possible? Today they refused to take my Dolce Gabbana shoes, new, very in style with an explanation that they do not fit in their customer demands?. The same type of shoes I have seen on the site... Whats going on?
NO MORE
Thanks for your reply.
Never mind. Thank God I have only spent £62. That was first and the last time. I have done my research now and read a lot of reviews, now I understand what kind of company I am dealing with. There is no point to deal with you at all. I have deleted all my selling items and I will not buy anything anymore and I will, of course, campaign amongst my friends and on social media about the type of business you do. I will
Make sure at least my friends will not buy from you.

I rarely write reviews on the Internet and not only was I compelled to write the review below but I MUST also update it with something so unconscionable it is truly hard to believe. If you read my review below you will see that they offered me a 10% discount after refusing to otherwise help me with my issue. As I was meeting a brick wall in every other way I asked them to send me this discount. Once I received it they DISABLED my account, so I cannot use it. They are true crooks and fraudsters and should be prosecuted.
Loads has changed on VS over the years. Since my first negative review, their services has improved a lot. I have made many successful transactions with them and bought many lovely, high-end products. Happy with VC
I placed an order during a period of time when they were offering a site-wide discount of 10% and purchased a very expensive item. It was over the weekend and their site and app was having trouble accepting the code. Since it was a sought after item I made the purchase and erroneously figured they would honor their own advertised promotion since there were major technical errors on their site and app. When Monday came around (since being a French company their customer service does not work over the weekend), I called them first thing and explained the situation. I even took a screenshot of the promotion and the time on my computer to prove it was viable and my purchase took place in that timeframe. They said they would "look into it". Shortly thereafter, with barely any time to have "looked into it" they sent me an email back that there was "nothing they could do about it" and offered me 10% off my next purchase. What if there is no next purchase or that purchase is for $10? That in no way compensates! I contacted them again and got the same, rote response. The said "we don't offer price adjustments on 2nd hand goods". That's all you sell! I was livid. I know that they do offer price adjustments when their quality control arbitrarily decides that the price should be reduced, so completely untrue! I then said that was not acceptable and asked them to escalate it or provide me with a refund. They refused to offer a refund and obviously did not escalate as they told me their code was working and offered me 10% off my next purchase. Their code was not working and they took no time to research any technical issues that may have occurred! I wrote them back again and they responded with "We will not reconsider your request." Of course I opened up a dispute with my credit card company. Avoid this company at all costs as if there is any issue you will not receive any support or service remotely close to what you will expect. They will never succeed in the US with this attitude!
This is just another second-hand shop. Fanny Moi-something with a funny name is as clueless as her Quality department. Now she is moving with her fraudulent "business" to HK. An open market for fake items. She is a joke.
I have brought many items from their "trusted" sellers and I want to make it clear that few times I was lucky and I managed to speak to nice people. It's all about luck... on your money. Simple as that.
VC or Vestiaire or whatever doesn't care about your opinion or your complaints. They get the money one way or another. So for them it's a win-win! You are the sucker not them.
Just STOP buying and selling your stuff. There are so many sites or shops out there.

They will make you wait months for payment, send you fake items or items in bad shape
Dreadful experience.
I have purchased 2 Bvlgari items from the same seller via their website, the seller has dispatched my item instantly, VC has marked both as Compliant on 12/05/2016. 10 days later the status of 1 of my item was still shown been prepared for shipping.
I have contacted Vestiare Collective several times asking when my belt will be dispatched, today 15 days later got a reply and was told my item is LOST by VESTIARE COLLECTIVES and I am offered a refund... First now the status of my item is updated. I wonder how long would that take for them to realise the item was not dispatched if I did not chase them by emails?
Absolutely shocking experience. Badly orgainsed company.
I bought an item from this company it was in NO way as described and they refused to refund over 1000 pounds. I am a solicitor so I knew this was wrong and have contacted trading standards who are investigating them, please do not use this company they are truly disgraceful.
The site seems to be very badly rated here, yet I have had a great experience with them! The shipping was very quick, and the item arrived just as it was described!
I've written a full review and added some pictures here:

Beware of this online luxury products website. It is not subject to the laws of the U.S.A. And therefore you are not protected by the Better Business Bureau. I purchased a handbag on the site and when it arrived, the color was not as the photo had showed. I attempted to return the handbag and they refused to accept it back. Even after sending them photos of the actual color of the bag, they simply refused.
Listed and sold a phenomenal pair of vintage Salvatore Ferragamo leather boots. I sent them to the quality control department and got a message saying that the boots had a loose heel (totally false!) and were not in as good of condition as I described them to be. They insisted that I lower the price of the boots by nearly half to sell them to the buyer. I reluctantly agreed, then they said the buyer didn't want the boots any longer and they were going to send them back to me. Next, I sold a gorgeous patent leather Salvatore Ferragamo vintage handbag. Well, I got an email making me a lowball offer on the bag, which I decided to accept. I was then told the bag sold and that I could print a shipping label and send it to them. I printed the label sent it to them and then a week or so later, I was looking at the items I had for sale and I saw that the bag was still listed as available for sale, and that it had not been sold. I was puzzled, so I contacted their customer service department and was told that the bag had not sold. I asked them why they told me the bag was sold if it wasn't and why they told me to ship it if it hadn't been sold and they just said they could send it back to me if I wanted them to. I was totally dismayed and puzzled as to why they did this. It's made me feel very uneasy about selling on this site.
Their quality control is horrible. They sold me a designer jacket that was not in "very good condition" as described -- It actually has sweat stains! Their customer service told me that I could not return it, but could resell it on their site and that they would not take any commission. Are you serious? Sell someone else this rag? The process of inquiring and complaining has also been incredibly time consuming and irksome. I will no longer do business with them. Appalling. Avoid this company.
Answer: There are a lot of honest sellers and buyers there (I consider myself one of them) but if anything goes wrong, Vestiaire will do nothing to help, they will spam you with auto replies
Answer: This exact thing happened to me. Completely different top than what was posted. And it still passed their "inspection". I am still fighting with them to no avail. Good luck.
