I booked a return ticket from Melbourne to Dublin for christmas time and they sent me an email hours later saying the ticket was refunded because the fair is no longer available (have never heard anything like that and they shouldnt be advertising it if it doesnt exist). They then told me on the phone the refund would not reach my account for 15-20 working days and that I should book a new ticket. So the money I saved up to go home theyre now holding. Additionally, when I made the comment of asking why i would book a new ticket if they could just take my money again and cancel it, the woman said "Well we'd just have to hope for the best that that doesn't happen". DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE GUYS. They are a literal scam of a company.
I booked an airline ticket ith them. After three days they sent me an email stating that the bank had not authorized the payment and it would be refunded. Instead they refunded me 12 euros (rather than the 669 owed). When calling them they said that it was "a scam booking" and they did not have to refund the total amount. They said that they still have the payment on their side but would simply not refund it and that I would need to do a chargeback with the bank. They refused to send confirmation of this

I had a medical emergency at home and I needed to change my return flight.
First, you can only communicate with them via chat there phone number does not work. To make the change I was charged EUR 228.00 and I was fine with that. However, they would not provide me with a boarding pass or a confirmation number. My gut told me that it was a scam! So, I ended up buying a ticket with another airline. When I reached out again, I was told I would not be refunded the EUR 228.00, again I said then provide with a boarding pass or refund. Finally, after going back and forth I was told that my ticket was never changes and that I would be refunded however, to date I have not received my refund. Also, when asked about a refund the agent sent a screenshot saying that I would not get a refund. TERRIBLE!
I gave this one Star because zero Stars wasn't an option. We booked a flight from them right before Covid hit. The airline canceled the flights and returned the money to Vayama, who then was supposed to return it to us. They never did. We did everything we were supposed to do to get our refund. Sad!
Bunch of dishonest people. Waiting for my refund since July of 2019. They keep telling me about COVID, which started 6-9 months later. Airline already told the agency to refund my money several times, but they keep ignoring. Filed a complaint with BBB. Stay away!
It is a nightmare to work with this company, they cheat keep your money and ask for you to pay again and again for cancellation. I have been on fight with them for two years now and things arent sorted even now. I was my credit card company that had helped me out in the end. PLEASE DONT EVER BUY FROM THEM.
Do not buy with them, they will keep your money even when the airline allows you to cancel the flight!
I wanna cancel a trip due to COVID, Vayama tells me: Call American Airlines to cancel it. I do it, I give American Airlines my booking number, then American Airlines tells me I can either ask for a full refund or for a ticket exchange, but unfortunately and either way I have to ask Vayama to initiate it because they are the ones that bought my ticket.
I ask Vayama for a refund (given that these tickets were for a cancelled wedding celebration that will not happen anymore), their answer: Hi, you can only exchange your ticket.
I email them again, explaining how I directly called American Airlines and they told me I could also ask for a full refund with no fees (email pic attached), Vayama's 2nd email: You can only ask for a refund (they literally ignore my email and answered the very same answer).
I have now 4 plane tickets I cannot use, just because I did not book directly with the airline and tried to be a bit cheaper by using Vayama.
I will update this review rating and post if for any reason Vayama actually refunds me after my third email, but no hopes after their second email...
PS: I had to email them because you can't reach anyone when you call their number. Their answering service has been oversaturated (at least) for weeks.
Before COVID, I booked a round trip tickets for my mother through Vayama with a Chinese airline. Then COVID happen, the airline offered full refund for the cancelled flight. The airline confirmed to me that they have processed the refund to Vayama 1 week after we cancelled the flight. I have been in contact with Vayama for more than 8 months and still couldn't get a refund. For the first 6 months, they said it was under processing. Now they said that the Chinese airline is under Chapter 11 and has never refund to them. This is a ridiculous lie. Chapter 11 is a United States bankruptcy code. A Chinese company can never and will never file Chapter 11 in United States. There is no such concept as Chapter 11 in China. Also, by the way, that Chinese Company is in great shape as I checked today. I should mention I am a certified attorney both in China and United States.
As others have experienced, Vayama is a terrible company. They are refusing to refund me $1400 for a cancelled flight. The airline has already verbally confirmed to me that I am entitled to it, but Vayama refuses to process the refund after having first told me they were applying for it. They will ignore you and lie to you when they can no longer ignore you. Just deal directly with the airline and not these scammers.
I was stuck at home for the holidays for much longer than anticipated thanks to the lack of quality customer service within Vayama. When the airline had to cancel a flight on my itenerary, it took me 3 weeks of emails (that took days and calls with Vayama to rebook a new returning flight. However, they never sent me my new e-ticket so when I arrived to the airport expecting to fly, they said I could not join the flight because Vayama never released the tickets to me officially. I had to extend my flights for 2 weeks from that time to desperately try to make contact with Vayama to no avail (which was impacting my work). So I turned to the specific airlines - United and Aer Lingus - for assistance. The airlines worked with me above and beyond to find a way to rebook the flights that Vayama had screwed up - they also informed me that I needed to produce a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours to even board the plane, which Vayama completed failed to mention. Thank goodness the airlines were so supportive, or else I would have had to buy a brand new return flight (which during COVID was at 300% markup). Rest assured I will never be doing business with Vayama again, and my distressed family members that assisted me for weeks with this process now know not to do the same.
Hi every one "DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD". They won't refund or exchange your ticket and they don't have a phone number available anymore only via email but out of the sudden they have a special number to charge extra to exchange your flight. Available monday through friday. I BELIEVE THIS IS ANOTHER FORM OF GETTING MORE MONEY FROM YOU AND THEN GIVE YOU THE RUN ABOUT. I WILL CALL THEM AND SEE WHAT THEY WILL TELL ME. Couldn't attach a file because they require a special file rather than pdf that most company use
Horrible customer service! They are not helpful at all and just clueless of what they are doing. I have been trying to make chsnges to my flight but nobody has been able to help and they are giving excuses That makes no sense and not helping me. Really really don't recommend
I bought tickets in January for a trip to South Korea in March, which of course was cancelled by the airline company due to the pandemic. They stopped customer service via phone and started sending automated emails. The last I heard from them was three months ago in June, saying they were waiting on the airline company to approve the refund request. It is now mid October, I just called the airline company and they said they refunded me in July. THREE MONTHS AGO. Which means I should've had my money back by now but Vayama is obviously keeping the money. Buyer beware! It is a scam!
Terrible / non existent customer service. Attempted to refund or change a flight in the middle of the pandemic. I gave notice a month in advance. They told me to reach out directly to the airlines (Aeromexico & Delta) - both of which noted that they would be available to change flight or give me a flight credit for a later date, but noted I had to go through the agency to do so (Vayama). Vayama didn't get back to me after 10 attempts to get in touch, and no phone service. Then they would not refund or credit after the airlines confirmed. Had to dispute with my bank but my claim did not go through. Do not trust them.
I purchased two tickets from them late 2019, the flight was canceled due to COVID. I got email notification from them that they are working with the airlines on my refund (this was in April 2020) 5 months passed and it was the same message them telling me the refund is taking a long time due to airlines not releasing the money.
I got tired of it and called the credit card company to dispute the charges (September 2020) The credit card company told me that I was lucky, the day I called them was the last day to make any dispute for plane tickets purchase in December. A week later after my dispute, I received an email from Vamaya notifying me THEY ARE JUST NOW SUBBMITTING MY REFUND TO THE AIRLINES (September 2020) and I received my money back.
Their game plan was to lead you on, so you will wait until credit card dispute period is over. After that it would be impossible to get the refund. They might have your refund but they are using shady practices in order to keep the money! If you are waiting to get a refund, CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY ASAP!
My flight was cancelled in April due to COVID. American Airlines has refunded already Vayama, but after SIX MONTHS they continue to send me scripted BS mails about "pending status", "have patience" and so on. Most infuriating experience on costumer service ever!
Be careful before you choose Vayama in case you need to cancel a flight and expect refund. They never attend any call, never. Their effort to solicit the dispute of refund due to COVID related flight cancellation is below lackluster. Be very careful.
The worst company I have ever booked my tickets through. I booked my parents tickets prior to Covid ban using their website, and the funny part is that its been months since the airlines have refunded my entire amount but Vayama chose to eat up my $200 for the flight getting cancelled. Wonderful Service!
I booked an airline ticket that was economy class and came with a carryon luggage. When the airline email arrived, it was a basic economy ticket with no carryon. Forget about customer service. They don't care and don't speak English.

They won't actually book you on those flights your seeing, and will change your itinerary before your flight actually goes out. -- So much so I was booked on a flight that made me miss my connection, and they said I had no choice but to rebook that leg of my trip 2 days prior or after... so I asked for a refund and it's being "approved" -- $700 down the drain.
