The overall reputation of UPS is marred by significant concerns regarding service reliability and customer support. Many customers report frequent delays in package delivery, errors in shipping, and inadequate responsiveness from customer service representatives. Complaints highlight issues with lost packages, unfulfilled delivery promises, and a lack of accountability, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. While some customers acknowledge the company's long-standing presence in the industry, the prevailing sentiment is overwhelmingly negative, with calls for improved communication and service efficiency. This feedback suggests that UPS must urgently address operational shortcomings to restore customer trust and satisfaction.

Worst service or representatives can tell you where your package is. Your shipment does not have an appropriate number. And they paste the notice. Are you kidding?
I can't seem to get in touch with a human in customer service? The recording ends up arguing with me then hanging up? I don't deal with UPS very often, but when I do, I can count on them to disappoint.
I'm 39 years old. Always had a job or income. What I mean is, I've used UPS for a long time. They have never in 20+ years been on time based on their own calculations. Like, I mean never. I'm not exaggerating. In 20+ years they have never been on time. They have easily always been my last place choice for delivery.
I'm literally standing at my gate waiting for them to arrive with my "signature required" package that they claimed would be here between 10:15 and 12:15. I had to abruptly end my zoom meeting with my boss because the map and time had them close. They are already over an hour outside of their estimate and now, as they usually do, have pushed my package to "arriving before 9pm."
Look, I get it, we are still in a pandemic, it's post Black Friday/Cyber Monday, but that doesn't really explain away the other 19 years, 364 days they were late.
Another great story:
I waited years to boost my project car. When I finally did (actually the wife bought the kit for Christmas) UPS was the shipper. Around Xmas that year I received my package and I was stoked! As I dug through the box I noticed I couldn't find the actual turbo charger, everything else from the kit was there: piping, fittings, tubing, bov, etc., but no turbo! Turns out, they "lost" the turbo, but still managed to slap some tape on the main box and still send it (the turbo was in a box inside the larger box). It took 2 more weeks to complete my kit because UPS "lost" a turbo charger from within a larger box (that made it to me, mind you).
So here I am waiting for them because they had suggested they would be here an hour and 10 minutes ago, but they aren't here. Rushed out my meeting with my boss for nothing. Noice!
The Agent didn't ask me to insure my package or ask for the value but I showed her what was in the box. The package was never delivered, I file a claim and they wouldn't compensate the full cost claiming I didn't insure. Never mail a valuable with UPS. Their agents don't care. Once they see no insurance, they wouldn't deliver. And the company claims they do investigations but never produces the package. I need my package not your $100. It's valued more than that UPS.
If zero stars was an option, that is how many stars I would give. I sent a package to my daughter through UPS and it has been on hold for six days now. I've called UPS and jumped through all their automated hoops only to be told both times that they would get the package to her by the end of the day, only to get another email saying that it is on hold because they can't find her address. I gave them her phone number so she could give them directions, but the driver didn't bother to call her. I have never had any problem getting packages to her in the past, so I don't know what their problem is now. In the future, I will ship the the US postal service or FedEx.
Worst service ever. Shipment tracking does not work. They lost my package and mumbled with explanations. They buy time with lies. Customer service is rubbish, the staff is rude and unprofessional. Do not use UPS!
I ordered a turkey roulades from a company in the New Jersey area for Thanksgiving on Nov 17th, they gave it to UPS with 2nd Day Air shipping on Nov 22nd with a Frozen Foods sticker on it, and UPS delivers it to me the day after Thanksgiving, Nov 26th, 4 days after accepting it for 2nd Day Air delivery. Upon delivery I opened the box. The dry ice had evaporated, and the turkey roulades were thawed and spoiled. The shop I ordered from refunded me totally, but UPS spoiled my Thanksgiving.
Trashiest service ever and that's a fact. Even trashier than FedEx. The fact that they enjoy getting all these payments from clients and don't even bother or care about shipping things on time says it all.
As an American, I'm embarrassed at this company.
Called a day before expected delivery, no notification by text or email, asked for import charges at the door when I wasn't home without prior notification.
Website is terrible, with broken links and redirects, payment system a nightmare. Tried to log in and arrange delivery; I'm required to fill in forms to join 'MyChoices' or something, and at the end I'm told there was an error.
Avoid this company at all costs.
This has got to be the worst, shipping / customer service. That I have ever paid for. I'll never use this company again. If you pay your duties and taxes online. It can take 48 hours. For it to update on their system. Which was the only help/ information. That I received when I went down to their office. They did not even ask for my tracking number. For the package that their delivery driver. Didn't even attempted to deliver. Then scanned that I wasn't able to receive the package. To pay the duties and taxes. That I had already paid. 16 hours before. Can't even take a picture of a attempted delivery. Since they didn't attempt one.
My package was returned to sender due to "customer refusal". That did not happen or at least the delivery was not attempted at our house. In fact, we had another package delivered by UPS the same day in the same time period successfully. Prior to the delivery attempt I paid $10 (for each package) to have the delivery postponed for one day to ensure that I would be home to receive them. I was not offered a refund for that $10. Both packages were marked as signature required - the one was left on my doorstep and the other, as I said, was not delivered at all. I tried the worthless customer service number which is a misnomer. It cannot connect you to a real person or provide any avenue to do so. I eventually tried technical support and spoke to three different customer service representatives - none of them were helpful. The first of them, Ivan at technical support on 11/17 around 4pm, told me that I would be able to pick it up from dispatch before it went all the way back to sender and apparently that was a lie. I waited all evening, prepared to go pick it up, for a call from dispatch just as Ivan promised. There was no follow-up to inform me he was mistaken. I also spoke to Marion at technical support 11/18 around 800 am, she informed me that Ivan lied then immediately transferred me so she wouldn't have to hear my reaction, brusque and uninterested. I was transferred to Kevin in international shipping. Kevin was patient and thorough but not able to help me in any way at all. In the end, I had to personally manage the logistics of my shipment outside of UPS. A shipment which was entrusted to these logistics experts, and to top it off I paid extra to ensure it would arrive on a day that I was home. All in all it was the most frustrating shipping experience I have ever had hands-down.
If there was an choice of zero or negative star, I would definitely give UPS a negative star.
On Nov 11, I sent a car key to China via UPS Worldwide Savor at $84 for 0,2 LB. When the pickup guy came, he said UPS does not provide envelopes. On Nov 15, UPS sent me an e-mail and said in invoice is required then I gave them an invoice on Nov 16. I thought the package should have arrived in China and the invoice is for customs clearance. Another 3 days past, UPS sent me an e-mail telling me the package was delayed due to their processing error and it will be delivered on Nov 22. On Nov 23, I checked UPS tracking and found the package was delayed again and still sit in Anchorage, Alaska. The estimated delivery time was again push back to Nov 26. I called UPS Customer Care and their reply was that they cannot exercise their service guarantee although the delay was finally caused by their processing error, So far I was not even sure if the package will be delivered on Nov 26.! 5 days for an express courier service! Worst experience forever.
UPS delivery person never call, nor press apartment buzzer. They just came to our apartment to stick a door tag. This is not the first time. Last year we had a very bad experience with UPS. Like usual they left a door tag, we came to the store written on the door tag, only to find the fact that the package wasn't there. They changed the pick up point without any notice. So we tried to come to the other UPS pick up point right away, but the store closed 1 hour earlier than the time written on their website and their store door. We called them on our way to the store to check and to make sure that they were still open when we got there, but the person said that he had some personal thing to do and had to close the store 1 hour earlier. We asked him to wait up for 5 more minutes, since we were closed to the store. But he did not care and still insisted that he would be leaving in 2 minutes. It was a very important package and the delivery had been delayed by UPS without any clear reason, so we still made it to the store 5 minutes after he hung up the phone, found the store was closed already, while the opening time on their door showed they were still open.
Today it happened again, we were at home waiting for the package to be delivered. No call, no buzzer, they just left a door tag, and wrote a note saying "sorry we missed you..." They didn't even try to let us know that they were here, how do we supposed to know.
UPS delivery experience is very bad! Hope there is an option when ordering online on who is the courier. What's the pint of letting sender write additional delivery instructions such as shipping to a business address and specifically indicating deliver Mon-Fri plus clinic hours? Then they are delivering it at night. Sender just getting remarks this is second or last attempt. THEY DO NOT READ INSTRUCTIONS! Upon first attempt- it does not take a genius person to deliver it again during office/clinic hours. They should already noticed that the recipient's address is a business location! What a shame! NO COMMON SENSE AT ALL!
Worst of the worst they said item was delivered and receiver not available even no one came to deliver the package I waited all day and no one came or called. And then they said receiver not available what the $#*!…
I tracked my package (a document that I needed to submit today) and it stated that it will be delivered today at 9 pm. I've been waiting in the cold since 8:40pm but around 10:10pm i checked the tracking, to my utmost surprise it changed to "the delivery date will be provided as soon as possible" with no specific time stated. They are TERRIBLY and their customer service is the WORST! The time now is 10:28 and I don't know if I should keep waiting
So I'm waiting for a package I ordered which never arrived, called in tracking # only to be told it was delivered to my door and signed for. Called UPS customer service, told them I never received the order and NEVER signed for it either, I was speaking to an extremely rude argumentative combative Asian whom I could barely understand, I asked her to verify the address it was delivered to, she let out a exaggerated sigh then said HOLD ON! Put me on hold for 10 mins then returned to say, "your package was delivered to your door then slammed the phone in my ear, WELL $#*! UPS AND THE 3RD WORLD call center, I drove up to the local UPS store talked to them, they openly admitted that the call center SUCKS and they CONSTANTLY give out false information, I then spoke to a manager who tracked down who exactly delivered my package to my doorstep, well it was delivered to the wrong house on the wrong block and it wasn't signed for. $#*! UPS AND THE SORRY $#*! LOSERS THEY HAVE WORKING FOR THEM. NEVER EVER USE THEM FOR ANYTHING
This is most horrible international shipment service, do not use them. They will write on their website that they try to deliver but nothing happened. You will try to call their call center and no use. There updating of the system is useless. One of the most $#*!y service ever used. I want to give them 0 center
The UPS drivers are so lazy( Nord Miami) that they don't want to go up to the second floor and leave a note instead " Sorry We Mussed you" Then you call them, they say "Strange, everything is correct with your address" And then the whole problem is to find a package! Extremely unprofessional company!
The worst services I've ever experienced they delayed the shipment that was to reach to my relatives for Diwali. They unnecessarily charged €100 out of no where as VAT and on the App its showing as COD where related shipments were received by their neighbors without any additional charges. My relatives have being extorted by the delivery guy saying that if you'll not pay in 2 mins I'll take back the shipment. This is unethical and unacceptable.
Answer: Because there is ZERO accountability at UPS and they dont care about customers or having business ethics. Answer my question if you can.(Click on my profile and see it)
Answer: Because the management orders the people under them to do it, so it looks good on UPS. And most customers dont bother to complain or write reviews.
Answer: It's driver preference and they don't care. I complained about this. I'm constantly getting medical supplies delivered and they don't care
Answer: Because they don't care! For the life of me, I can't understand why anybody uses them as a delivery service.
Answer: Because they are a very poorly run company. It doesn't even run its offices domestically well, as you can see by the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this site. Use any shipping service over UPS.
Answer: UPS is a disgrace. They are a disregardful and careless business who lies to their costumers. Absolutely will not support ever again!
Answer: Sadly, today the term racist is used to define almost anyone that we disagree with. I am not a happy customer of the ups store but if you are getting death threats you need to contact the police. It is illegal in America to make death threats against anyone no matter their race, creed or color. That is the beauty of living in United States of America. You do not need to wait for a company to file charges against another human being who is threatening your life. You just need to take the appropriate, legal action against that person, good luck!
