Initially they provided a fairly good service if you can wait the 4-6 week delivery times while they submitted the accumulated orders to their suppliers, (to obtain their bulk discounts). Over the years their attention to detail grew more and more lax. Many items lacked complete descriptions and their customer service got slower and slower. Lately when asking a question about an item it has taken 4 days to get a reply. Which brings me to a recent issue I had with them. If you visit TOM you will no doubt see jackets supplied under different names but mostly made in Turkey. Nice styles but take note of the sizes, there seems to be no standard in Turkey as a XL chest size can range from 42" to 54" So the addition of a size chart comparing the sizes to European or American sizes are a must. Sadly it seems that no one checks the products as they are received to confirm the sizes match the chart. I ordered a Jacket around 6 weeks ago but first had to request confirmation of the sizes shown to American sizes. That took four days to get a reply and a further day for the CS rep to send a chart showing size comparisons (see attached image). To be safe I ordered a 2XL = 48.8" chest (American). I waited the mandatory 4 weeks and was excited to get the jacket. That soon turned to utter disappointment when I tried to fit into this extremely small garment. The sleeves ended up being 4 inches too short and the chest measurement was in fact just 45" and not the 48.8" as shown on the chart. E-mailing the CS department resulted in a return authorization label and a 35 mile trip to the FedEx drop of point for the return. Seven days later I received a refund less the original postage, why? It was their fault the size was incorrect why should I pay postage for their mistake? After 3 more e-mails and some back and forth they relented and refunded the mailing charges.
Personally I will never order from TOM again. Six weeks of waiting, plus multiple e-mails just to be back where I started. It's no wonder Amazon is doing so well and why TOM has so many seriously bad reviews.
After all they don't have very many products for sale at any one time surely it would not be cost prohibitive to hire a few people to check sizes and website descriptions?
Apart from the fact sizes on clothing varies wildly their customer service when asking questions is incredibly slow, taking on average 4 days if you are lucky. By which time the discounted offer has closed!
I will no longer give this company anymore of my business. Still waiting for my order a month later.
They are stealing from the vendors, they owe us money and there is no intention to pay for the goods we sell.
I've ordered three items from this company: all were of very poor quality and/or do not function as advertised.
I ordered two pictures and a mask that is supposed to filter air particulate down to one micron in size:
A) The two pictures arrived and look like something you would purchase in a dollar store.
B) The "respirator" mask is even more of a problem. Because Touch of Modern was taking a long time to fill the order for the filtration mask I ordered one directly from the manufacturer and received it before Touch of Modern has even provided an update that the item is ready to ship (I received the mask a week ago from the manufacturer, Touch of Modern still indicates that it is waiting to ship their order). The mask is absolute crap and was ~ $80 with tax. The manufacturer claims it filters particulate down to 0.1 micron, yet I could not obtain a decent seal on the mask. I performed a fit test using isoamyl acetate (otherwise known as banana oil). I immediately had a strong smell and taste of the banana oil indicating absolutely no protection was provided by this device. Absolute garbage. I tried adjusting the mask - it simply does not provide protection as advertised (I am a registered nurse who uses other masks that do not have this issue). I cannot cancel the order I placed on the Touch of Modern website even though it still has not shipped and they will not accept a return of this item after it is shipped. From the Touch of Modern website:

That means it's not possible for us to cancel or modify an order, but it's also how we're able to provide great products at steeply discounted prices. Well that's convenient for them.

Had a problem with an item I purchased. Even though the item said no returns the customer service refunded my money.
Touch of Modern is the worst online company with which I have dealt. I ordered a Handy Gym from them that turned out to be a literal nightmare. After waiting an interminable amount of time to receive it, the item was received defective. I initially just wanted to return it to be repaired or replaced. I contacted T of M's "VIP Customer Service," which I later determined the name had to be a joke, because I wasn't hardly treated like a VIP. Instead, I was treated as if I were stupid and didn't know how to operate the product. I might add that I have a JD and LLM degree. I was given the run around for almost three months. When I asked for a return authorization, they said that I had to go to Handy Gym. When I contacted Handy Gym, they said I had to go to T of M.
I finally disputed the charge with my credit card company who credited the purchase price back to me. I then gave T of M a deadline to send me a RMA or I was going to dispose of the item. The next day I received the RMA. If T of M had done this three months earlier, I would not be writing this.
Note—I discovered that the merchandise on T of M can usually be found elsewhere at a lower price with much better customer service.
For whatever reason, the on-line ordering for a gift card did not go well. An old ship-to address was used. No idea who lives there now. I was supposed to be prompted for an email address so the recipient would be notified, that never happened. Once I realized what happened (less than an hour after the order was placed), I used their online messaging system to ask that they either correct the problems or cancel the order. I finally heard from a female support rep. " Many of our products are limited or hard to find inventory and we sell them under a final sale policy. Your order for Touch Of Modern Gift Card is one of these products, and is not able to be canceled.". Really? A gift Card? Hard to find inventory? I doubt that. I sent several more requests to either correct the problem or cancel the order.
I finally heard from a gentleman saying he would be happy to help. He gave me a USPS tracking number but never said whether or not he corrected the address. The USPS tracking number did not show the delivery address and when I look at my order on their website, it still shows the incorrect address. SO... until it was actually delivered, I had no idea where it was being shipped.
No one ever corrected the order and it was shipped to the wrong address
I have never been so frustrated over something as simple as buying a gift card. There is a lack of follow through and it takes way too long to get a reply from their customer support people.
TOM customer service is worthless. After this fiasco, and reading about what they did to their vendors ( https://tomovendorscam.com/), I will never spend another penny with them.

I was so happy to finally be abke to purchase something from TOMO recently. I decided to buy a Pillow Guy(PG) pillow as the listing made it out to be a high quality "luxury) pillow with great attention to detail. I received my "Luxury" pillow, and let me tell you that Wal-Mart is more luxuriois than this holey mess. The teal colored co er on the pillow has holes in it where the zipper had come apart from the cover, there is another hole where the white band piece is around the pillow, and you can see where the stitching is just falling apart. It should be illegal for them to charge $80 for this junk and call it a"Luxury" product. Touch of Modern's customer service is useless, and it should also be illegal for a company to REFUSE to accept any returns even for poorly made products as this, and they also do not offer refunds nor exchanges. It seems to me they know what poor quality products they are selling, and they are charging high prices for cheaply made junk. THAT IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY, and to me that shows to me that they know that they are stealing people's money

Product quality has plummeted and the marketing has become often deceptive. They have removed customer reviews from their website. All consistent with their new found focus to deceive, grift and scam.
