I am so glad yet so sad to read these reviews. I have heard these types of comments on FB groups with other dog owners. I was trying to research on how much of the money they get actually goes to the animals and I found these reviews. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Also, I have read over and over the quality of their clothing is junk. I wonder why, coming from China!
I was lured into placing an order by the flood of FB ads in my feed, the cute designs featured in the photos, and the idea that my purchase would support the care of "rescued" cats and dogs.
From my experience, I suspect that the gushingly positive reviews on their site are fictional. Poor quality merch, nonexistant customer service, and returns for ANY reason are on you.
Just give the money to a local charity.
I ordered two pairs of slippers as a gift for two different people that were the exact same size... One pair was fine. The other was way too small. The sole of the slipper is about one inch shorter than the other. This company would not refund my money, would not refund my shipping, and would not pay to ship them back. I got stuck with a defective pair of slippers! Some charity!
If I could give them 0 stars I would. Ordered two item and they smelled like they had been dipped in chemicals. Tried to return them and would not process a full refund. They gave me $0.12 shipping and when I returned the items they said the refund would be minus $4.95 shipping because my orger total was < $12. If you really want to do something for Animals give to a REAL charity. Buyer Beware
Purchased a ring for my daughter with her dogs birth stone. One of the stones fell out and they blamed her. Called customer support and Julie, the supervisor, told me that she can't and won't do anything for me. The while she spoke over me when trying to explain the situation. She then proceed to hang up on me and refuse to talk with me when I called back.
Easier to donate to the local humane society.
Buyer beware!
I am suprised at all the negative reviews, I've ordered a lot of different items from the Greater Good animal site, I have bought Christmas gifts for people who loved what tgey received from me, such unique and different products. The Tunics have vibrant colors, easy to wash, great quality. I hope there is a solution to all the problems from the reviews on here. Sheila from Rhode Island
This is a GREAT Site. Many clicks everyday for fabulous causes. Have purchased products and am very satisfied.
The ONLY problem is the site uses JAVA... Can't view videos on my chromebook without some kind of hacking or something.(Not my forte)
I several times tried to contact them. They never answer!
I doubt if the clicks i made over years are helping animals. I think it is helping the people behind the website!
They dont sell hardly anything for men? Why, because women, sorry, are easier to swindle.
BEWARE! This store is a scam! DO NOT ORDER! Ordered at Thanksgiving for Christmas gifts, wrote an email a couple weeks after waiting, was told to wait, and now I still havent received my merchandise 2 days before Christmas. And their answer is "sorry we dont track anything". And when I called CS... she hung up on me. BEWARE!
It has been 12 days and I have contacted these people 3 times. The person name "Sara" was extremely rude and she has told me that I don't have to shop there if I did not wanted to. She hardly let me speak. She keep going on and on not letting me speak. I don't recommend shopping at this site to no one. You won't get your shipment on time, you wont be able to cancel the order, and you have to deal with very nasty people like Sara.
I've been shopping here for over a decade, and only once had a broken item that was replaced with no issues, and rushed to me. I've done research and made sure that this company is truly helping those in need, and they are. Customers complaining about items that aren't the same size: it says right on the listings that many of these are handmade items and may not all come out the same. Also, there are options to donate rather than purchase things. If you feel as though you're being ripped off, maybe you should be choosing that option instead. Another important suggestion is to order in advance when ordering near a holiday, as packages often get held back due to major rushes. If you follow basic guidelines to read thoroughly and really know what you're paying for, you shouldn't have any complaints.
I am very surprised at all of the negative reviews. I order from them all the time and have always received my order very quickly and never had a problem with customer service and I love that some of my money goes to animal rescue.
The games are part of The Animal Rescue Site but with an added benefit. Each of the games offers a donation to animal rescues shelters. While it's free for us to play the games, the animals still benefit because the advertisers are the ones making the donations while we're only giving up a little free time.
So, if you have a few minutes, play solitaire or the bubble game or something and help an animal in distress. We're the only voices they have.
I placed 2 orders in the last week with the Animal Rescue Site. Right after I placed my order I realized that I forgot to add a code for a free scarf with the order. Finally I get a respond almost 2 days later from customer service saying it's too late that my order has been shipped. I checked again and it's still not even shipped. Very poor customer service. I will not be ordering from them in the future. I bought a pair of shoes from them a while back and one of the shoes has a rip in it after just a few wears.
I love the Animal Rescue Site. I bought a jacket and a bracelet and both were gorgeous. Fast shipping and very cute things on the site. Its awesome that I am helping animals. I will buy all my gifts from this site from now on.
The animal rescue site is a great (and easy) way to help animals all over the country. Everytime you click on the purple bar on their homepage, money from sponsors is donated to animal rescue charities. They also feature wonderful stories to read every day about animals that have been rescued and now have homes. I keep it on my toolbar and click on it every day.
I have used this site before but i have never been treated so horridly till now. Never Deal with TheAmimalRescueSite I waited on hold for a customer representative for 1 hour 54 minutes and 42 seconds to ask about a product on their extended cyber deals sale and even though the product was shown in each size for only $10 when you tried to buy it went up to $19 the man said it was because the size was different but when I told him the picture is of every size and there were no disclaimers he hung up on me. I will never support them again.
I bought 2 different styles of rubber sandals but in the SAME SIZE. One of them (Celebration Criss Cross sandals) was SO big my foot slipped to the front and over the edge of the sandal! I wrote to them and explained the inaccuracy of the sizing between the Celebration sandals and the Positively Inspired sandals and got an Email back stating how to do it and that I should not only get insurance for the item but proof of delivery! WHY AM PAYING FOR THE RETURN WHEN IT IS THE COMPANY'S inconsistent sizing that caused me to have to make the return in the first place? I have ordered from this company several times, but I will NEVER order from them again! SHAME ON YOU FOR PUTTING THIS COST ON THE CUSTOMER! You only got 2 stars because ONE pair (Positively Inspired) fit properly.
I used a new program I have that automatically finds promo codes for me and applies the so I don't forget. When it applied several, I figured it was OK and went through with my order. Almost $100 worth of things that I purchased. A few weeks went by and I didn't receive my order, so when I contacted them they told me that due to my abusing their promo codes that they had canceled my order. They didn't even contact me to try to remedy the situation or allow me to explain, just accused me of wrongdoing and cancelled. I'm sorry, but I didn't need any of the little crap that came with those promo code's, or to be accused of doing something that I didn't mean to. Far as I'm concerned, they had a glitch in their code and that was their problem. They should be thanking me for pointing it out to them and not making a big stink that I didn't get my items. Flat out insulted and alienated a new customer.
I'm tired of all the BULL that your people are giving me on my order, plus I don't like being told I'm a liar. I was told that my order would arrive to me on Tues 20th of Dec.So far I have been told 3 differnt stories from you. These items were a Christmas gift. You have some VERY RUDE people working there makes me wonder how they treat their pets (if they have any) since they treat their customers wrong.Won't be ordering from them anymore. Makes you wonder if this company is for real. Warning, don't shop there. Donate to your local shelter, or the ASPA.
Answer: Hi Sharon, I ordered a bunch of items for my 3 Sisters for Christmas and had them sent to my residence first so I could check them out. As advertised. GREAT Site. IMHO.
Answer: Is it secure? Yes. Thats the only thing you can trust. Everything else is shifty and cannot be trusted. Their promotions are false advertising and bait and switch. Handmade items are cheap Made in China items marked up. If its BOGO or any get free at all, you will not get what you are expecting. If you have a problem, customer service will not only not help you, they will be rude. Buy elsewhere
Answer: Kathey, I hope you have received your order. If not, please contact us at customerservice@greatergood.com for further assistance and we will be sure to resolve the matter for you.
Answer: The Animal Rescue Site Store does not sell products for humans where animals (broadly defined from coral to cows) are killed or injured in the manufacture of the item, or which were tested on animals. This wording is specifically included in all purchase orders. We do sell some organic or natural pet treats and toys which promote the healthy development of cats and dogs as pets; which in the case of cats are exclusively carnivores, and in the case of dogs are direct descendants of wolves which are exclusively carnivores. We are a long-time member of the Wildlife Friendly Enterprises Network (WFEN), and actively sell all WFEN certified products which reduce conflicts between wild animals and humans in order to protect wild animal populations and reduce animal death and suffering caused by ranchers who use poisons or traps to kill predators; such as using guard dogs to protect sheep on rural farms or reimbursing villagers in Mongolia for the not killing snow leopards which occasionally prey on their goats and sheep. We have invested in a large sanctuary in rural Kenya to help preserve wildlife communities and elephant watering spots adjacent to Tsavo National Park and source certified wildlife friendly t-shirts from there to help provide jobs for local communities to reduce human animal conflict and pay to provide ranger patrols to protect elephants and other wild animals from poachers. We do sell some products derived from animals including alpaca, camels, goats, sheep and fresh-water pearls when the animal is not hurt during the process of creating the product; and in the case of domestic animals where they are raised by small farmers and the products are made by small rural fair trade artisan groups who work closely with their animals and shear the excess fibers to provide both income for villagers and to reduce heat exposure for their domestic livestock during the summer. We do not sell products for humans on the Animal Rescue Site made of leather, fur, feathers, down, ivory, shells (unless beach gathered), coral, tortoise shell, elephant hair, mohair, salt-water pearls, mulberry silk, horn or bone; or sheep wool where the sheep were raised in non-humane settings or treated roughly during industrial sheering. We do sell some products made from fossil animals (rocks), humane silk (after the worm has left the cocoon), butterfly wing jewelry (from butterfly wings gathered after the insects have died) and Hindu quality leather made from animals which died of natural causes. We take our mission to promote animal rescue very seriously, and do not want to hurt some animals to help others. We work closely with our suppliers to find great products which have meaning and are one of the largest resellers of certified fairly traded and wildlife-friendly products in the USA.
The company generally enjoys a positive reputation for its product quality and commitment to charitable causes, with many customers expressing satisfaction with their purchases and the overall experience. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding inconsistent sizing, shipping delays, and challenges with the return process, leading to frustration among some customers. While many appreciate the mission behind the brand, the customer service experience appears to require improvement, particularly in handling returns and providing timely support. Overall, the company’s dedication to animal welfare resonates well, but operational aspects need enhancement to elevate customer satisfaction.
