I paid $88.10 for a turtleneck that was made in China. Thought for that price it would be soft comfy and cute. Well it looks cute on. It says 80% organic cotton? Maybe that is the scratch part. But if they are producing in China I cannot imagine why they are so much money. Doubt they have organic cotton shipped there either. Would not order another.
I have ordered a lot of things from Sundance, I spent lots of money ordering clothes and shoes, I made a conscious decision with everything going on in this world race wise, not to order or buy from anyone weather at a restaurant, clothing department that does not represent people of color. Not hard to find women or men of color
While the merchandise ordered was OK they charged $17.95 for a padded envelope that I'm sure didn't weigh 1lb. When I inquired about some type of adjust they said "SORRY"! Real price gouging!
Never order again.
I unfortunately bought a pair of shoes at the store. Blister City! The only way to return and get a refund is if you give them your address. I am now being bombarded by catalogs. (24 so far) Sundance will sell your name to everyone who has a catalog. Buyer beware! I'm hoping they go out of business soon.
When so many other clothing companies offer free shipping (at least with minimum purchase) and free returns, why doesn't Sundance? It's ridiculous that I paid almost $20 in shipping and then had $8 withheld from my return for shipping. Obviously, these are inconsistent fees, but I shouldn't have to pay for either. I took a chance because all 3 of the dresses I ordered appeared worth it on my computer screen. Mistake. $30 mistake that won't happen again. None of the dresses looked as nice in person, so they all went back.
I'm not quite sure what the problem is with this catalog. You order from them and it takes forever to get your order. They never sent me a confirmation claiming that I had indicated I didn't want confirmation emails from them. Now they say my order shipped 21 days ago and I still don't have it. Don't think I'll order from them again.
Interestingly, I tried to post an unfavorable review on their website and it was rejected. Hmm.
The clothes are of poor quality considering the price. Shipping is outrageous and they really bang you on returns. Sizing is hit or miss. Would not recommend.
I'm disabled and rely on the convenience of catalog shopping since my mobility is limited and malls are tough for me. No matter how soon after recieving their catalog when I call too order something, they are out of what I want in my size with no restocking of item. I"ve been very disappointed on several occasions. While the quality and uniqueness of their clothes is very appealing too me, the inability to purchase them is frustrating. So I have requested too be taken off their mailing list. After a couple of years, of routinely being unable to get product, I thought perhaps the purchasing staff would have figured out what styles and sizes are popular and do a better job at ordering appropriate quantities. Goodbye Sundance.
Beautiful overpriced merchandise that often looks better in catalog than in person. Also typically mediocre quality. Exorbitant shipping fees. And now come to find out the reviews are moderated if they are unfavorable. Many other reputable companies to frequent and purchase from.
I ordered and paid for two items. A week later they send an email that one of the items is on back order for at least another month. The first item they shipped at their overpriced shipping rate. Businesses shouldn't accept orders for items not in stock... it's not hard to set up a system that can do that. I wonder if Robert Redford knows how crappy his company has become.
This was my 1st time ordering from this catalogue. I ordered 3 items totaling almost $300, when they arrived the items were smaller than had been advertised and did not fit properly so they were returned in original packaging. Not only do they charge you to ship the items back but then in the small print after they return him it says up to 30 days before you could receive your money back! This is absolutely unacceptable in today's online shopping climate. I definitely will not be ordering from them again.
Was ready to order $68 tee shirt (color me stupid) when I noticed the shipping charge would be $13.95. Ridiculous! I don't mind reasonable shipping charges, but I don't want to be robbed. BTW, Banana Republic is free coming and going.
I always read the reviews prior to purchasing anything. When I read the negative reviews for Sundance, I thought the people that complained we those who just like to complain. Not so. I actually spent over $500, spent $20 on shipping and then sent everything back because their fabrics were super-cheap! I can't believe they have the audacity to charge what they do for their product! After opening each package, I wrapped it back up and sent it back the next day using their "convenient" return label, which was anything but as I sent the items back almost 3 weeks ago and still haven't received a credit to my card. In the end, it cost me $32.99 just to try on their ugly clothes. ***UPDATE***I FINALLY received my refund May 15 for my order that was place on April 10 of which was returned the day after I received it! They also added it may take another month to show up on my statement! Horrible, horrible ugly and horrible!
I ordered what they call a tiny treasure cup. $15 which added up to $21 with shipping. It looks like a five year old made it. It's supposed to have colored crazing on the bottom of it. This one had a speck of paint in the side of the thing. So bad I threw it away. I am one busy woman and have no time to hassle shipping it back and getting dealing with poor customer service. I simply will not ever purchase from Sundance catalog again! Lesson learned.
This company has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced from a catalog company. Merchandise takes months to receive and no updates are sent by them to let you know what is going on with your order. This final time, I waited over three months with no information given about the delay until I sent them email inquiry's. Three inquiry's. Always some "canned" form letter is sent and never with any pertinent information as to when you will receive the item. Finally, I was told they weren't going to send me the item and gave some lame excuse as to why I had to wait so long for nothing!
Sundance also profits from their S&H charges. They charge a lot for delivery! Way more than is reasonable.
I don't think Sundance cares about their customers at all.
I have been a customer of this Company for over a decade and I am officially boycotting this ridiculous business. The clothing is way over-priced, shipping rates are a clear rip-off, speed of a refund takes up to 3 weeks. Perhaps Mr. Redford should talk to the CEO of Zappos and learn their secrets to successful business, happy customers and positive follow-up experiences. NEVER AGAIN... I'm still waiting for my refund. Maybe I'll get in time for next Christmas to take my business elsewhere.
WOW! Numerous calls to locate a package that never arrived. It was finally deemed a "dead package." When it was returned to their warehouse, I was promise multiple (three) times they would resend express over night delivered to me home, without the delivery charges to me account. I never came. The last call I made I was blamed "you are the one who made a computer order and input your address." She made absolutely no sense! Cancelled... We will see how long the refund takes.
I ordered a ring in October. I had not received by end of November. Called customer service, was told the item is not available. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I first was told the item was on back order, then told all those items were sold and there are not any more. All these people need to be trained in management of a store. It was very disappointing. Robert Redford, I would fix this or get rid of it.
I was ready to place an order and noticed the very high shipping charges. I changed my mind about the order and will not order from them in the future. Too bad, they have some good stuff. They need to get with the Nordstrom & Zappos philosophy or no charges either way.
Why is shipping so much? I came on to order a pair of pants that are very lightweight, I'd imagine they will ship in a small bag of sorts. I cancelled the order when I saw shipping cost. I'll find something similar at Target or something... No way shipping is that much. $7,8 maybe.
Answer: No. Sold it to a lawless private equity firm. Took the money and ran laughing all the way to the bank. Screw the customer until there are none, then just rebrand and keep screwing the customer. But when it comes down to it, its up to consumers to do their homework on all e-commerce as there are few laws, protections, and really no regulatory oversight/enforcement for this kind of criminal fraud which is rampant in the US now. Other countries have enviable common sense laws governing e-commerce on their books because their citizens wont tolerate the sort of abuses and fraud perpetrated by companies like Sundance, et al.
Answer: Shipping costs are extremely high, shipping is very slow and quality is not consistent.
Answer: The photos are so deceptive that the product you receive is nothing like them. See my photos below. I wish Sundance would do better.
Answer: No you don't! Overpriced and poor quality. I Purchased a necklace on sale and it was so tiny I returned it. This company is no longer affiliated with Robert Redford!
