I spoke to sundance representative and was completely shocked by her disrespectful tone. I have always received the catalog and loved the clothes. I finally decided to purchase 4 tops. I have always ordered XS, and an XS has typically been a 0. These shirts were big with very long sleeves. When I spoke to Elizabeth she blamed me for not looking at the sizing charts. Then when I asked her about the high shipping cost. She again, sharply responded. I spent $19.00 for shipping 4 lightweight shirts. At the end of the conversation, she abruptly told me that no one had forced me to shop sundance. The clothes are beautiful in the magazine. Unfortunately, the quality is not impressive. My advice beware. Better yet, don't bother. I certainly would not want my name tied to this poorly operated business.
Sundance customer service is certainly not what it used to be and not up to par with similar retail sites. I have been ordering from Sundance for many years, and I will never make another purchase again. This all stems from a gift I purchased for my daughter and their absolute refusal to assist me- not mention the fact that the supposed supervisor hung up on me! My suggestion is to stay away and make your purchases elsewhere. There are unlimited options out there with better quality merchandise and more reasonable shipping costs and return policies. What an unpleasant experience to have when purchasing a gift for a special occasion!
Don't believe them when they say that typically your purchase should arrive in 1-2 days when ordering something online. In reality, it is 5-7 days! This is now the third time that this has happened when ordering from Sundance. You would think that as proud as they are about charging the prices they do, they could at least live up to their delivery promises!
No wonder they have such a poor rating. Sure wish that I would have checked out the reviews before purchasing! NEVER AGAIN!
I love Sundance merchandise but on my most recent order for my daughter for Valentine's Day, the back order date was wrong and the earrings never arrived and no communication from Sundance. The earrings now might be in at the end of the month, but no guarantees from Sundance. I asked if I might chose another earring in stock and still receive the free shipment offer from my first order and amazingly they said no, it was a one time deal. I even talked to a supervisor who stated that they do not notify customer of aback order delays until it has been more than 60 days! This is no way to run a business.
Sundance has great products but the worst shipping policy in the business! Gouge you coming and going. Also, customer service is terrible... have the attitude we do business our way, if you don't like it shop somewhere else. YUCK!
Would never Recommend this company for any car sales they are liars and thieves took my money as a deposit called me the 2 day after and said That's pretty deposit on the same day and no one knew but he can find me another car that's not at all how they should work I'm retired veteran drove an hour and a half to look at the truck put a deposit down we have a driver hour and a half back to get my deposit it's $#*!ed! The dealers name was Jeff... Avoid him and Sundance altogether
Sun Dance completely messed up my order in terms of size and color, sent it late, and now tell me that to get any sort of refund, I must pay for return shipping. OK. I have no way to prove the error, but never again. That was my last order, ever.
The fees associated with these products is too expensive. I've ordered two times from this company. On the first order, the loop fastener broke within a week of receiving the product. On the second order, the clothing was very oddly shaped so I returned everything. I ended up paying $30.00 to try on pants that looked ridiculous. I would not recommend ordering from this company unless you are 100% sure you know that the items will fit.
I have never ordered from a company with worse customer relations than Sundance. I ordered a birthday present for my wife ( necklace order number *******) a month before her birthday and received it 2 months after her birthday. There is no contact from your Sundance and only when I contacted customer service was there an apology and update which I did 2 or 3 times. I used Sundance many times over the years but not anymore You didn't even contact me that it finally arrived or sorry or a lousy coupon for the delay. Obviously you must be doing so well that it is unnecessary to have satisfied customers but I am done with this company but I am sure that doesn't matter either
You send items back and it takes about 4 weeks for them to even acknowledge the return. This is a higher end catalog, but it needs much improvement in customer service. Even Amazon has a better return system!
You may never see your $$ again. I returned an item received by Sundance on 12/5. After six calls to the company on the refund status, they continue tell me they've sent the issue over to the warehouse for them to look into it. Latest is now the are doing inventory and won't be able to look into it until after 1/2/20. OMG will I ever see my refund minus the $7.95 rerun shipping? I'm beginning to despair.
Received the order within a week. The handbag was too large and returned it using the label supplied on 11/16/21. Today 12/2/21 I spoke with customer service rep and was told the return was in line to be processed. They have no idea how long before I will see the refund. Return process is very important to me when ordering online. I will never order from Sundance again.
Ordered a $38 tee shirt - shipping charge of $7.95. Shipped in a plastic bag. Tee shirt material cheap - size was too small. To return shipping charge $7.95. So, after paying for postage my refund would be a bit over $23. Not worth effort. Will donate tee shirt to Salvation Army. Sundance requested a review - which I provided. Got an email response from Sundance advising my review did not meet their review guidelines in particular my comments about their excessively high shipping charges. Other forums to make complaints Sundance!
As others have reported, the shipping and handling rates are outrageous. I had a $25 discount, and free shipping was offered as well. Because of the $25 discount special, they charged me almost $18.00 in shipping, for 2 tee shirts mind you that weighed next to nothing, stating you can't have a discount and free shipping at same time, even though they were both offered at same time. I returned tees, and again a crazy shipping fee. Keep away from Sundance... if more people would stop purchasing from these crooks, then maybe they will get their act together.
Ordered in June, paid for shipping. Didn't like the product, they agreed to refund but deduction for return shipping…. Mailed product back, they received July 1…. After numerous emails they tell me that refunds are given in the order received and they are currently issuing refunds for June 27th. Do they only have one person in the whole company issuing refunds? They've been using MY money for 6 weeks. It's quicker to get a refund from eBay. This is a high end company, you'd think they could have enough staff to take care of this in a timely manner. They sure have plenty of people answering emails will not order from them again. I'm really surprised at this
I ordered a sweater for someone as a gift. It came with some kind of ink on it. I immediately reached out to customer service, sent photos, and was told that I would be refunded in full as soon as the item was shipped back.began tracking, since it was damaged. I dropped it off that day. A week later I reached out and asked my not yet refunded and they told me they don't do that, and I would have to wait for my refund as if it was any other purchase (EVEN THOUGH THEY SENT ME A DAMAGED ITEM) and when I pushed back they got rude and dismissive. Reached out a month later and was told they were still processing refunds received in Jan (when it was March) and I would have to wait. It's now getting close to three months since this purchase, and still no refund. What a scam this place is.
I ordered several items for Christmas presents. Very expensive clothes. I received the order. I was shocked by the poor quality, and cheaply made clothing. I am not exaggerating by saying Walmart has 100 times better quality.

Every time I order from Sundance the item is either back ordered or shipment is delayed. My recent order took 4 months for one item to arrive and it's been 6 months and I still don't have the second item in the order. Sundance never notifies me or communicates the reason for the delay. I have to call them to find out why I haven't received my order only to be given another false expected shipment date. Poor customer service! This is the last time I will order from them.
I always thought Sundance Catalogue was supposed to be a good company. High prices, yes. Quality,not so much. What really got me, though, is I ordered three items that came in two separate shipments. I returned two of them the next day. That has been almost a month. The first time I called, they said, "it just arrived today, and it is processing." A week goes by, no word. I call again. This time, "It hasn't arrived yet, but looks like it will. Give it another week." I did, no word. I called again, and I was told items arrived but there is a backlog of doing refunds and I should wait another two weeks. Why are there so many refunds? That's for another post. I finally went to the BBC, and there are similar complaints there. Sundance always gives the same answer to them, using the same verbiage. I have no idea if those people ever got their refunds or not. They owe me over $200, and I want it. In the interim, I ordered other clothes and shoes from other companies, and each time I returned something, I was refunded the same day it was received. Anthropologie refunds the day you ship. What's up with this company? Are they keeping the company running by using refund money not sent out? I will never buy from them again. I will also spread the word.
Robert Redford's Sundance Clothing Company has gorgeous clothing, jewelry and shoes for women. High quality. You can shop from a catalog you receive through the mail or review the catalog on line. I've purchased a dress, several pairs of shoes, and a ring. Be aware of European sizing in shoes. One shoe I ordered in a size 38 and it was slightly big thr the width, so next pair I ordered a 37. I love the leather clog, but my heel is just at the end. They were on sale and I love them, so I'm hoping the leather will stretch a little. I'd love to shop more with them, but it's pretty pricey. There are shipping costs. The company has frequent sales. I recently with an order received a voucher for $25 off my next $100.00 order. Sundance is fun to shop with just save your money before you shop with them.
Answer: No. Sold it to a lawless private equity firm. Took the money and ran laughing all the way to the bank. Screw the customer until there are none, then just rebrand and keep screwing the customer. But when it comes down to it, its up to consumers to do their homework on all e-commerce as there are few laws, protections, and really no regulatory oversight/enforcement for this kind of criminal fraud which is rampant in the US now. Other countries have enviable common sense laws governing e-commerce on their books because their citizens wont tolerate the sort of abuses and fraud perpetrated by companies like Sundance, et al.
Answer: Shipping costs are extremely high, shipping is very slow and quality is not consistent.
