Do not use StubHub

I bought tickets a month prior to my event. On the day of the event I still hadn't received tickets. I contacted StubHub they stated that the seller was having problems getting me my ticket. The customer service rep with StubHub could care less stating, 'We will just refund you your money!" That great but that can't refund the money we lost repairing for the event or the lost expenses! I will never utilize this bootleg site again!

Misleading Tickets Refused Refund
July 15, 2022

I purchased 5 tickets for $280 only to find out once I downloaded them that they aren't real tickets only "fast passes". On the physical tickets themselves they say "not real tickets" but no where on stub hubs website does it state this. On their website it clearly states seat numbers and "unrestricted view" on the tickets. Customer service told me that by saying "unrestricted view" is their way of saying it's not a ticket but to define that phrase it means "you can see clearly and fully bc there's nothing in the way". These passes were the same price as a GA ticket. It's confusing and scammy. If you buy tickets for the same show on Livenation, the fast passes are $15 not $40 and they clearly state that these are not real tickets.

I have read your reviews and find them somewhat disturbing. I wish to go and see cat stevens and fear the cost and whether or not I will receive the tickets etc. I would love to go and see him and have become concerned after reading your reviews. We will be wanting to go come rain or shine and understand if he doesn't play for some reason or other that we perhaps won't be reimbursed, although I feel that is low. However, I feel somewhat concerned and apprehensive about purchasing tickets from your company.

So - the barcode did not show in the app after I bought the ticket - apparently, I'm expected to chat with them to get the tickets if it doesn't work out - I was left standing in the cold before the show - so I had to buy a new ticket at the theatre. Now they will not refund the money for the tickets I bought through stubhub - btw, their helpline chat window sucks too - you're expected to stay on that screen on your phone - else it gets disconnected!

We entered ticket dates for a different date than what they sold us and they would not change the date for us. Instead they kept trying to get us to agree on them reselling our tickets! Its a scam - people never get their money for their re-sold tickets - see the complaints below. USE TICKETMASTER - THEY DO NOT CON YOU.

They took my money for good seats to a playoff game and didnt deliver my tickets until after the first period and an hour and a half wait on the phone. I had already left the arena and headed home. No kind of refund or even a simple apology.

Last year Stubhub took anywhere from 10-15% from my Steelers ticket sell. This year, it has been 20% which is high in my opinion. I called their customer service dept. and was told the fee they charge the sellers has changed. It all depends on the game. If the tickets are for a high profile football game, they will take more than if the tickets were for a not-so-great game. I need to find a new place to sell my tickets.

Covid-19 Crisis

I had tickets to see fluffy on March 21st and it got rescheduled to December 5th! I can no longer attend bc I'm gonna have a 8 day old baby. It is not my fault I'm no longer able to attend. So I called for a refund and was denied but was told I could sell my tickets and I'd receive my money within 5-8 business days of them being sold. They have been sold but I haven't received my money so I called to check the status. Apparently they just changed their policy to withhold payments until 5-8 business days AFTER THE EVENT! That's almost a year away! They are really screwing people over during this time of crisis and I will no longer purchase anything through them. If I would've been informed of this I could've just sold my tickets out right and would have my money already. The person who bought my tickets should be responsible for them from this point forward, NOT ME! StubHub

Selling tactics
July 26, 2023

Had four tickets for sale. One sold with no problem. Sold two and was immediately prompted to transfer, which I did. 1 week later buyer hadn't accepted them. We then received an email saying due to buyer issues, we cancelled the sale. We immediately cancelled our two tickets, thinking our account had been compromised. It turns out they sold one ticket and didn't notify us, but that was the ticket they cancelled. We relisted the two tickets, however they never showed up on Stubhub for sale. When I called they said your listing is on there, and after that it appeared. Today I received an email saying I'm being charged $486 for the non sale of the two tickets. Deceitful manipulation of their sales. SELLER BEWARE

I have been using StubHub for years to sell tickets and never had a problem. I was recently charged a 50% penalty fee. I tried to sell my tickets and hours later didn't receive a posting confirmation or sale acknowledgement email. I couldn't even find my posting so it made sense to post again. They sold however the sale was cancelled by StubHub since they already sold. I disputed the claim and explained that what I stated above and they only refunded half of my fee. I appreciate that but strongly feel they should have reconsidered a full refund consuming my seller rating and missing confirmation emails. They completely ignored my appeal without any response. I finally spoke to someone and refuse to do have the review team re-open my claim. I guess I won't be a customer anymore. Very disappointed.

Order a package of tickets from Stubhub- was charged double the face value of the tickets, then an additional $42.00 for shipping and an additional $350 for your buy fee. What a joke- who does this? Will never purchase through them again- what a rip off!

We bought tickets for a concert about 5 weeks ahead of time, we're supposed to have the tickets transferred the day before, but that didn't happen. The next 24 hours involved spending endless hours on hold and talking to them where they kept promising alternate tickets and not to worry. Less than three hours before the concert they finally sent us a link for alternate tickets that said they had nothing comparable and they would refund us. One their site there were HUNDREDS of tickets available for the concert. Some were just a few hundred dollars more- but they would not give them to us! They said they were too expensive- of course tickets are more expensive hours before the concert. It was just awful and I had sobbing teenagers. We went to vividseats and bought tickets that were $400 more. I will NEVER use STUBHUB again.

Highly recommend purchasing or selling your tickets elsewhere. Customer service does not exist in the traditional sense. First person could not communicate well or offer any assistance. My call was disconnected when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I called once again to speak to a supervisor and was told my call would be retuned in 24 hours. My original issue was a fraudulent review process that disabled my tickets from being listed for sale. The review process can take up to three days. The tickets are for the World Series so they are very expensive and without much time to spare. My tickets will be available for purchase on StubHub for one day, best case scenario. Also know the tickets were purchased, without fraud concerns, from StubHub the very same day I attempted to list them for sale. In hindsight, I should have reviewed StubHub. Plenty of information out there providing a clear warning.

This company is joke

If you made a mistake and you try to fix this mistake, you can't. I and you have to pay for that. And the price is high, and when you are obligated to accept your mistake, you also receive a penalty, and the most incredible, when you buy a ticket you are charged immediately, but when you are forced to sell your ticket you are going to receive your money a week after the event. This is a bad joke.

Seller hasn't emailed tickets. Show starts tomorrow. Wait 3 hours on hold for customer service. Stubhub contacts seller. Gives them wrong email. Waiting for tickets. Call StubHub back. Stubhub contacts seller again. Stubhub still has my info wrong on the phone. My app has all correct info. What the hell is going on? Stubhub guy sounded like he was from another planet.

Outstanding service!
October 24, 2016

We had bought tickets for Game 3 of the Red Sox playoff game and spent over $750 for the pair. I had received alerts that the game was postponed and that the times changed twice. However, once we got to the game, our printed tickets were denied. I then brought them up on my phone and we were denied entrance again, both times being told they were for wrong game. I called Stub Hub while at the gate. I was one the phone with them for about 1/2 hour. I am not sure if the original buyer for this ticket was bogus or not, but I will tell you that the woman stayed on the phone with me until we were able to get new seats that ended up right behind home plate! She even called me back to be sure the tickets came through my phone. I was pleasantly surprised with their willingness to be sure that we were able to get to see what ended up being Papi's last professional game ever. Thank you Stub Hub!

I just bought tickets to a college basketball game. When I went to download the tickets, it says in big print, OBSTRUCTED VIEW. I went back and looked at the ad, and the seller did disclose that, however, it's not very visible, there's no pop-up that says you are buying obstructed seats... Additionally, they show a photo from the section, and there is nothing that would indicate obstructed view. I immediately called StubHub (within 5 minutes of purchase) and they wouldn't do anything for me. So, not only did they make money from the seller, they made a significant service fee from me. They were condescending on my call, and would even adjust the service fee. I'm a very good customer as I've sold several professional football tickets on StubHub, and have purchased. Beware.

Stubhub is great if the outing you are going to happens. I just bought tickets to a baseball game that got rained out in Denver. Now I'm out $700 because I can't make it to the postponed game because I live 1000 miles from the venue. Other than reselling the tickets to a makeup game that is the next day there are no options. I have to get back home for health related issues and they wouldn't work with me at all. Really frustrated. I will never use STUBHUB again and I will tell everyone I know not to use it.

I had to cancel a ticket i was selling, and they charged me 90$ dollars and it had no relation to how much i was selling it for. I put it up for 75, and asked for 65 back. I've been trying to contact them for a few days now and obviously no one wants to answer. 99% of the reviews i find online for this website are the same story as well so i would not use stub hub.

I purchased two tickets to a hockey game a week in advance. Then the day before they call me saying they can offer me better seats and made my tickets invalid without my permission. So I asked for the better tickets and they said theyd email me. In all I had to call them back four times because the tickets were not emailed to me until an hour before the game. They gave me so much $#*!. I ended up getting worse seats than I originally got. I never write reviews but this is one piece of $#*! website. Listen to my review or not i could care less.
