Snakes at Sunset

I recently placed an order for a red eye crocodile skink and I am very unhappy with the entire transaction. Shortly after placing the order I searched for an order confirmation but could not find it, I ended up waiting a couple days for them to send me a tracking number but was not sent anything. I reached out to them multiple times hoping I could get some information on when the skink would be shipped but I was ghosted. After a week had passed I was convinced I wasn't receiving my skink. When I got home this morning I found a package sitting on my front porch and it was him! I was never notified about when he would be shipped and no one gave me a tracking number or responded to me during the transaction. After unboxing the skink he was very lethargic and cold to the touch, a cryopak was used rather than a heat pack, it was 40 degrees outside when he arrived. I'm hoping he will be okay and will do well for me. Reptiles can't be shipped like a regular package and dropped off on the front porch, the way this place ships their animals is unethical! If you are going to ship confirm a delivery day to make sure they are there I don't understand how this place operates. If you are going to buy a reptile morph market is the way to go, these kind of places are what gives the hobby a bad reputation.

We just got this little guy, he was in perfect condition and ate within hours of arrival. At first me and my partner were unsure about purchasing from snakes at sunset because of the reviews but the risk was well worth it. So far he seems in good health and was use to being handled. As far as tracking and packaging as soon as the order was placed and confirmed we didn't hear anything till the next day which made us worry. Thankfully Shipping was fast and when we opened the box the warmer was still in good shape as well. Overall pleased with the order and will update on the health of the snake if needed.

I have bought 8 snakes from this company. I am very happy with 7 of them I have no intention of quitting buying snakes but however, I am switching to Backwater Reptiles due to the fact that no one will talk to me about a resolution. After multiple e-mails I still cant anyone on the phone. Its completely ridiculous that a dealer would choose to lose thousands of dollars in snake sales over one snake. But if thats what they want...so be it. Just not a good business decision!

Im a well experienced snake owner. I was scared from the reviews but figured I would gamble with it. I bought two corn snakes and took exceptional care of them. One died in a month and the other died a few weeks later.

They shipped the snake, but didn't tell me anything, not the age, what it was being fed, when it shed last, any health issues. Nothing at all. I don't know what to feed it and how to monitor healthy growth because I don't know how old it is. They didn't reply to emails, didn't post my review. And the snake looked completely different from the picture.

I ordered a snake and there was a duplicate order made and I asked them to not send me 2 snakes. They didn't reply until 4 days later and were very rude about it. My orders continued to be packaged and shipped while I was trying to get ahold of them to let them know the mess up. Very rude customer service. I rec come to not ordering from them.

I ordered a leopard gecko from their online store. After sorting out delivery, they stopped responding to messages. Delivery day came and went, no contact from them despite several messages, no gecko arrived. Online store is a scam. I filed for a refund with PayPal.

I bought a frog. It was shipped out and made it to Indiana. 15hrs after it said it was in transit it still didn't make it to the next FedEx center. Chances of them giving you your money back is slim to none.

Wasnt told what it had ate last and he passed away sadly 2 months after having him his enclosure was huge and his temps where right wasnt anything i couldve done dont recommend to buy from snakesatsunset it might shatter your heart

To whomever might be reading this please do not buy your pets here. I have purchased 2 different reptiles and both died within a month of having them. I owned a caiman and he died in 3 weeks and a peach throat monitor whom I've had max 2 weeks. They sold him to me having 2 months and saying it was eating crickets fine when it wasn't. He was extremely malnourished and ended up dying. Mind you I paid $400 for the caiman and $330 for the peach throat and they didn't even make it a full month. Do not buy reptiles from here.

Ordered a GBB tarantula online that never arrived. Id taken a half-day off to receive package but nothing arrived. The store was no help. I talked to a guy there who told me to go to their message board, then hung up. The message board would not not open and said I had zero items on order. I called back a dozen times and got nothing but a busy signal. No voicemail either. I emailed and was told to go to the message board... again. My followup emails were ignored.
Customer service for Snakes rates 0, professionalism rates 0, and overall experience rates 0. Now I'm working w my card company to get my $200 back. What a lot of work and grief in this attempt at a transaction. Don't take my word; read the one-star reviews here and on Yelp. Apparently, in store purchases are good, but online purchases are terrible. Buy at your own risk.

Anybody have the owner's number I reached out to him in a email 2 times No response I got my package with a dead baby ball python inside with no heat packs or cyropak it was just put in a box tapped up and sent off to me where I live which is cold af at this time I respectfully reached out to him and waited so we can fix this situation I spent a lot of time and money on this snake being my first baby ball python ever and I hate to say it but I felt like I got robbed out my money like "oh here you go here's a dead snake thanks for shopping with us come again" I didn't see the reviews on google til after I got my package to see all these bad reviews because on there website there was a whole bunch of 5 star rating reviews so I thought it was a good idea I just want this situation fix before it becomes a major problem and I won't stop until it's fixed. Can't get mad at us either for the things we have to experience like this you guy's got to own up to it.

I ordered a pacman frog and was shipped the wrong kind- not the end of the world, I just decided to keep it and not fuss with customer service over it. But then it died a little over a week later. I have 10 pacman frogs, and have been raising and keeping them for years. I know how to care for them. This frog looked alive when I found it dead- it looked perfect. I contacted their customer service and got ignored. Very frustrated. Will not be ordering from them again.

Bought three kings snakes from this guy, all were so infested with mites. I mean you could see them all over the snakes right off from opening the bags the snakes were in. Called this SOB and he told me it was my fault, and to top it off, he then hung up on me. Worst reptile guy I have bought from and I have had snakes for over 40 years. Find a reputable breeder, lots of them out there, this scum is the backyard breeder of reptiles. This guy does not care about reptiles or the people who buy from him. He cares about money only. Once he has your money, you are screwed.

They have incompetent customer service. I don't live in the state but bought a gift card online because my then 12 year old wanted a particular snake. She didn't order anything right away. When we finally went to use it, I realized I only had a receipt and the account I had created. I asked to get the certificate number and was told they had no record of me purchasing one. The most frustrating part... I have been getting these answers in short somewhat rude incomplete sentences for the past 2 months. I have provided proof of the purchase with my direct and PayPal receipts which they deny I sent. They seem to be computer illiterate as well as crooks. Spend your money elsewhere.

Worst customer service I've experienced in my entire life! These posts are real! They are horrible! So disrespectful! They never sent me tracking information! Barely responded to any of my emails! Refused to refund my shipping due to there irresponsibility and inability to do there damn job! On top of that some jerk decides to email me with this horrible attitude and condescending remarks. I wish I would've payed warning to the posts on here! Still haven't even received my sand boa! I will be reporting these people. Sad to be a Miami native and get treated so poorly. I had ordered a young female striped Kenyan sand boa on Wednesday, got my tracking number, and she was here Thursday morning 9:20 am! Every thing was perfectly packaged, and she's a beautiful healthy gal, but the only thing I wish would have been different was there was there was no paper of when she last ate, and in the package there was what seemed to be a cold pack, and not a hot one.
