Snakes at Sunset

Purchased a corn snake that at first was fine with being handled and now bites every time he is picked up. Complained and not willing to do anything and just said ordered wild caught snake. I've had several corn snakes and never was bit until this snake. Do not purchase corn snakes from them. Paid nearly $90 for this useless snake that can't even be held. Terrible business and horrible customer service. Should have read these reviews before purchasing. Will never use them again.

I'm a regular customer here and today was my last day coming because I never get the correct amount of super worms I ask for they always cut me short and when I ask if they are sure if there are 90 worms they say I'll count but the extras will be taken out. He proceeds to count the worms and actually removes the "extra" he claims to have put. I'm sorry but this does not look like the amount I paid for. Very rude never coming again just wanted to let people know they rip you off!

I contacted an associate and wanted information on one of the species they were advertising for sale. I was told that the manager had to sex the animals to tell me what they had in stock. I waited for 2 days following up a couple times through each day, with the assurance they would follow up with me. It then came the weekend and they still did not follow up with me. They also knew I was holding off on another order with someone to see if they had what I was looking for in their store. I was planning on getting at least a pair of two separate species from them. I sent them a message on Monday morning asking about their professional etiquette and they never responded. I would recommend not to do business with them and I see that they have enough negative reviews that you do not need my input. I believe they are connected to Imperial Reptiles and Exotics as one of the species I was looking for was rare and on their site.

So I bought a female albino ball python 3 weeks ago from these people. For one they advertised a juvenile ball not a hatchling so thats what I thought i was getting. The snake was way to young to ship in the first place. When I unwrapped the snake it had a ice pack sitting on top of it. The snake was shipped to me with a respiratory infection. She had refused to eat so i took it to my breeder to care for her. My breeder tried everything to keep her alive and she died last night. I see that im not the only person thats had issues with this place shipping sick and young animals. Never again! R. I. P baby girl

I ordered two giant day geckos and a terrarium hood from Snakes at Sunset on 17 June, 2018. I received my geckos three days later and figured the hood would arrive after around a week since it in theory would be sent via FedEx Ground. I noticed there was no tracking information available for the hood, so I emailed customer service that Friday (22 June) and was told they would "check on it and let me know Monday". Monday came without reply.

On Tuesday 26 June, I emailed again to ask where the hood was. I was told the hood hadn't shipped because it was defective, but they would receive new hoods and ship one out to me on Thursday. I asked for a refund instead. Several days later I emailed again asking if I would be refunded or if the hood would be sent, as I hadn't gotten a reply to the original request for a refund. They emailed back and said I would get a refund. Days later there was no confirmation of a refund or any evidence of one on my PayPal account. Subsequent emails sent to them were completely ignored.

Long story short, I opened a PayPal dispute and was refunded. Snakes at Sunset never replied to the dispute; it was automatically closed by PayPal and found in my favor due to the lack of seller response. Shocking.

I won't purchase anything from them again solely due to their terrible lack of communication. I will say that my geckos are beautiful and healthy, at least.

I saw many negative reviews on here; however, I had a great experience with Snakes at Sunset. I am a well experienced dart frog breeder and therefore, had many questions for the Snakes at Sunset team. They took their time to answer each one of my questions, they sent me photos of each animal, and sent the animals in a timely manner. After just receiving the frogs a few hours ago, I can see they are in great health and I would absolutely purchase from them again.

Thank you Snakes at Sunset. I bought my daughter a ball python from you guys and I was so worried about the shipping from Florida to California but all my worries went away once he arrived. He is so healthy and beautiful and we couldn't be any more pleased. Communication about shipping was super clear and package arrived exactly when it was supposed to. He is super sweet and just hope he loves his new home. Thank you so much Snakes at Sunset.

I understand the complaints about the customer service, Mike B is pretty blunt. He answered most of my questioned, but it seemed like he was in a hurry. I didn't want to talk to him anymore, so I texted the number they have on their websit, and whoever that was, was much nicer. Anyways, I ordered a northern blue tongued skink Tuesday night, it was shipped Wednesday, and got here Thursday morning. They sent me tracking information, so I had no problem with shipping. Was just as they said it would be. My skink is pretty happy and healthy. I'm really glad I ordered them. After reading these reviews, I was worried, but I had no reason to be. Everything turned out great! They seem like a company who has their business together. For anyone thinking about buying, just text the number and communicate that way if you want someone friendly. I do recommend them though, and would purchase again.

I randomly decided to order a few new lizards for my newest terrarium. I did absolutely no research regarding this website reliability, and I'm glad that I didn't because I probably wouldn't of purchased from them due to all these bad reviews. My order was placed on Thursday at 2:30 AM, my lizards arrived Friday morning at 9:45. I opened up my package, and had 3 wonderful new lizards, very active, and they all look quite healthy to me. Maybe I just got 'lucky', but all I can say is don't let a few bad reviews ruin your chances at getting your new little reptile friend!

P.S. This is my first review I've ever posted, and I'm only posting it because of all these terrible reviews that are pointed towards this company. They seem to have their stuff together to me.

Purchase a snake to be shipped to my location. First shipping was delayed and then I receive a baby instead of the juvenile that I paid for. Severely underweight and also very aggressive for a known to be docile snake. Spoke to another breeder and discovered he was only a few days old and should not have been sold or shipped yet. Very bad experience
