Ordered a gymnastics mat on Jan 4th and it's now feb10th and it still says processing. I've written 4x and not received a response to cancel my order. I think this site is a scam
Shop.ca refuse to honor the mistake they made. I ordered an OGIO Newt 15 In. Laptop Backpack in Dark Static on the shop.ca a few weeks ago for a discounted price. Shop.ca realize it is an error on their site, so instead of honoring the deal by shipping the backpack, they just shipped a tablet messenger bag to me. If you complaint and request for the company to delivery the correct item, they will just tell you they are out of stock!
Ordered an item Dec 11... have not received it yet. I call every day and leave messages. Rarely do I get a callback. They tell me that Canada post has delivered the item... but I did not get it.
Stay away from shop.ca... they are slow and unreliable... and I spent $90 on an item I did not receive?
I would not recommend to any one of u to buy anything from Shop.ca. Don't repeat my mistake. I didn't read the reviews before I ordered. Even after a month I didn't receive my order. But luckily I ordered through PayPal so they took over my case. Otherwise there is no way U can contact these Scamers. They have a no that no one answers and no way u can track ur order even though u have a tracking no.
I order a cordless telephone on a Wednesday, after having reviewed several different products and checking on the prices from various stores and the manufacturer before ordering. As the particular item I wanted to purchase wasn't available at all stores, and the fact that I would have to pay shipping charges from the manufacturer and on-line sites that carried the item, I ordered it from SHOP.CA.
Wednesday afternoon, the order was placed and by noon on Friday, the item arrived. It was packaged securely and it works wonderfully.
I would not hesitate to purchase from this on-line company again due to the exceptionally quick delivery and the fact that the product was brand new and it appears to be a site that stands behind what they sell.
Where is my product that you charged to my credit card on the 28th of September and has yet to be shipped. Where is your staff, I have sent four E-mails and left three phone messages when you were closed because that is the only time that your machine answers.
WORST ONLINE PURCHASING EXPERIENCE EVER! I purchased Esso gift cards through shop.ca on Nov 24, called back on Dec 15 to check on my order status. They could not find my order. Waited on hold for 45 min, to talk to a useless customer service (if you could call it customer service) person. Proceeded to email my information, and got a rediculous response asking for the same info that I just provided.
Never again. I should have listened to the reviews.
Anyone who purchased through Shop.ca after the reviews, and has a bad experience deserves it. Me included. You might be the exception, but it's not likely.
Order ******* today: order summary page clearly indicated $20 credit applied but when I proceeded to payment, they took out the entire amount without applying the credit. The charge on my online banking does not even show their complete phone number so I cannot even call them! Their FAQs say there is a Cancel Order button that you can use within 30 minutes, but when I checked (yes, within the 30 minutes) it was not there. I emailed and Facebook-messaged them, and if I don't get satisfaction, I guarantee my bank will be in their face with an investigation and reversal of my payment! For anyone interested, apparently a company named Emerge Commerce Inc. operates as shop.ca, shop.us, Buytopia.ca, WagJag and MightyDeals.co.uk. Their address of record is 183 Bathurst, suite 302, Toronto, ON, M5T 2R7. They did actually get back to me within a few days and reversed the charge and cancelled the order. I am sure it's because of my bank-in-your-face promise. Another promise? Never shopping there again!
This company is a Total scam. Used a paypay promotion and purchased a keyboard stand from Shop.ca Did not receive the item within the timeframe advertised. After many attempts to contact Shop.ca did not receive a reply to my emails nor was I able to contact them by phone, kept getting a voicemail box. I lodged a complaint with paypal which was eventually settled in my favour and got a refund. Paypal's complaint process worked great. Shop.ca is a scam.
I bought a duvet cover from shop.ca. It arrived damaged. When I returned it the seller said it was returned soiled!. If it was soiled it was sent to me that way since I never even put it on the duvet. I have bought tons of things from Ebay and never had a problem... this is my first and last time shopping here unless I get my refund very, vey soon!
After reading all these negative reviews, I was hesitant to order from Shop.ca. I ordered a pair of shoes on Friday, May 15th, and I already received them today (Tuesday, May 19th) in perfect condition, even with yesterday being a holiday and everything. The package was also easy to track with Canada Post. They stayed true to their 3 day shipping - I live in Ontario just FYI. Not only is the website is easy to navigate, but it offers a variety of products for great prices. I would absolutely order from them again!
Ordered a guitar amp for a birthday gift back on October 27th. November 17th and still no idea when it will arrive. Emailed them and get nice apologetic replies but no results. Used my intro discount but will never use them again.
Update: I did finally get an amp. I think it was few weeks later. The support staff was very apologetic and said it was the supplier and I finally agreed on a floor model for a slightly reduced price. ( the unit was fine and is a good product). Still, it was for a birthday and was way overdue when they had said it was in stock.

I recently ordered a package of dog treats through them. When I received that treats, they were packaged in a small, squished envelope. When I opened it, sure enough, the dog treats were completely crushed to DUST! Why they were not wrapped in bubble wrap, I will never understand. Now people are telling me that it is not shop.ca fault and that I have to contact the supplier. That is ridiculous! Shop.ca should be held responsible because they were who I went through to purchase the treats. Why should I have to hunt down the supplier when I never went through them personally?
Some of the items are expensive and are not available. I tried an alternate site a friend recommended and I got hooked into it. It's fun and shopping can be so addicting. If you love shopping, then you should try it too.

Shop.ca is horrible to deal with. I had put in an order for a pair of jeans and did not receive them, had to email them and they had told me it had been cancelled BUT my mastercard had still been charged. They told me it wouldn't be. I am still waiting on a receipt to tell me that I have been reimbursed the money.

I placed an order on the 17th of december. I couldn't track my order. I called support, no answer, emailed them never got a human reply other than the auto-reply emails. On the 27th they inform me that the order got canceled. I dont usually wright negative reviews but I had to for this one. Bad management deserves a bad review! I hope they will do something about it. This was suppose to be a gift on behalf of a friend, I have to explain all that to my friend now!

A shady outfit, stay away from it. This site offers what appears to be good deals, however, I question the legality of the product I purchased from them. I purchased a watch which arrived in a reasonable amount of time, however, there was no warranty with the item. The watch make is "Invicta" and, as I own another watch of this make, I know they are supposed to have a warranty number enclosed along with a warranty card. The watch did not even have a proper instruction booklet, it had a one page folded sheet similar to what one receives with a Wal Mart special. I wonder if the watch is even a legallly manufactured piece or if it is a knock off "copywatch". I emailed the company a few times and while they did answer my emails, they have never provided proof that this is a legally produced item.
I ordered 3 items in early December, they were x-mas gifts. I recived none. When I called there were no answers. They said they would re-ship them. I recived a partial refund instead, no x-mas gifts! I called and was told to re-order. Again no items 1 month later. I called and they said the order was cancelled! No refund thou. What a $#*! company.
Ordered a painting and did not arrive, nor did I receive updates until I went and requested a refund.
Was told it was canceled by supplier. I was not told this by them and from what it appears the intended to keep it to themselves. Basically stealing from me.
It has been a week, and I have yet to get a refund, despite them saying it would take 1-2 business days.

Now need to add, they also have bad business practices. As seen in their reply. Yes they answer in 24 hours, but that was only after I took the initiative to cancel the order because of the lack of contact when order was canceled. It takes 2 tries to get a "24-48 hour" refund? Why say it was refunded the first time if it wasn't?
Trying to justify their service with their passive-aggressive "we do give good service, you're lying to everyone. Look here's proof"
