This company is a total failure in every perspective! Their customer service is next to nothing. Their website is like a scum that can trick you every step of the way!

I purchased a computer monitor from them because I have some unused store credit that is going to expire. Before completing my order, I applied the credit and saw it was being deducted from the total purchase amount, next thing you know the system still charged the full price, and I have to go through the customer service by writing an email to have the credit applied, which is a long process and the company always charge your card first upon the order placed.

After a long wait for about 3 weeks, I received my shipment, but the HDMI line was missing from the package. How are you supposed to use a monitor without a cable! I notified the company immediately, it took them about a week to get back to me, saying you have to contact the factory yourself. Ok, fine! I contacted the factory, but being told the service tag I have is not valid, and I have to go through vendor to acquire more info. I wire another two emails to shop.ca to explain my situation, and waited for another week or so, the email I received is Sorry for the delay! Thats it. No more content! And they closed the matter based on that response! What the hell! Another week has gone by, I have not received any response for them.

As a result, I have to buy the HDMI line from Amazon and surprisingly found the monitors HDMI port is not working! And thats probably the reason why they do not have cable in it, and factory cannot find the record based on service tag! It is a defective product! They sold you a defective product and try to drag on the time, so you cannot return it!

This is their business model! What a SCUM!

I had been hesitant to use this site, although was very encouraged when it was associated with air miles and ebates.ca - using these sites with shop.ca can greatly benefit the customer. So I went ahead and ordered the HP Envy 23 Recline noting that it would leave the warehouse within three days. Plus with other discounts and coupons, I got an amazing deal. There was some confusion when I checked and it read that it hadn't even begun to be processed after three days. I called to confirm the status and because there had been some concern due to thefts from our local post boxes, they said they had been delayed until I personally confirmed such a large order. Apparently, I had missed the phone call and when I called back four times, I didn't want to leave a message only to have them call back at their convenience - not mine. They really, really need to get rid of that darn thing and have a human answer when we call in. I would rather sit for 15 minutes on hold while drinking a coffee than to have them call back when I am in the middle of something - which I was and I wasn't as pleasant as I should have been. Once we realized that it was just miscommunication, they made up for the time delay and shipped it overnight. I couldn't have been happier. They are a relatively new company that will have its burps and hiccups, but they are truly trying to be the best they can be. BUT GET MORE PEOPLE TO WORK THE PHONE! I earned more bonus discounts, plus using ebates, you can get further discounts. Plus you can earn discounts on their facebook site plus other other couponing sites as well. I will be ordering from them again. I admit, when I checked for complaints and seen this site, my stomach sank, thinking I was so stupid for ordering from them with as many recent complaints seen here. There was some bumps on my first order, but they more than made up for it. And love my new computer, too. I will use shop.ca again.

I was lead to try out SHOP.ca by Paypal through an offer they had where they would give Paypal users $25 off $100 if you use Paypal to pay for your order. SHOP.ca also had an offer of their own where when you signed up as a new customer you would get $25 credit for shopping on their site. So in essence, I was supposed to get a $50 credit, and while it was confusing seeing if I did get $50 ($25 off was displayed on the order itself, and the other $25 was hidden in the Paypal payment) in the end I did get $50 off my order. 2 days later, I'm informed that everything in my order shipped, except for one item that coincidentally was worth $26.99. They cancelled this item, and refunded less than what I was supposed to get back for it ($22.37), dumped the remainder into SHOP.CA credits ($5.49... like wtf?). Paypal then does a "special offer reversal", so I don't even get a real refund, the offer from Paypal just disappears.

Definitely will not be buying something else from this store. I might MAYBE just get something to get my "credits" back, but even that I am very hesitant to do because of all this convoluted mess. Am more tempted to just abandon my $5 of credit in the account. Very dishonest and underhanded practice of taking away initial incentive to buy from store! Rather disappointing as I was excited about the prospect of a Canadian online store that might've been semi comparable to Amazon. (It really isn't so far) Buyers beware.

I have sent an email to them, and am willing to change this review if I do get the items I had originally ordered along with all the promotional credit, but I sort of doubt that's going to happen.

I just thought I'd add here that when they responded, it was more like a "ho hum, sorry things didn't work out for you", like they didn't really care too much though I suppose as a Customer Service rep you can only do so much for the customer if your policies prevent you from doing any better than a lame attempt at consoling the customer through just an email.

I never did get a refund, I never did get the item they cancelled (of which was indicated as being in stock at the time) and to top it off, one of the items was a plush toy that I had ordered for my baby and I received it covered in dust and grime. It was an uncovered toy attached to packaging so of course the plush itself got dirty.

After that treatment, I vowed pretty much never to go back to them again... I've gotten several more of those Paypal offer incentives and pretty much ignored every one of them.
