I ordered a necklace as a gift and the necklace was never shipped. I didn't receive any correspondence from SHOP.CA other than my order was received I contacted the company during business hours via three contact options with no response. I first contacted the site via the chat feature and no one was available to respond. I then emailed the customer loyalty department for several weeks without response. I called the customer service line and no one answered, so I left a message.
I get continual spam from the company, but no one has responded to the status of my order.
Made 2 orders during a heavily promoted "$15 off with visa checkout" offer. Orders were pending. A month laer they charged my credit card. A month after that, they orders were still pending. I aksed Shop.ca, who responded the orders had been cancelled. Apparently they had had no itention of ever refunding my money if I hadn't asked. Sure seems like a scam to me!
I ordered a 50 shoe rack that the website said "ships in 3-4 days", which seemed ok. I was expecting the order to reach in another 3-4 days, making it a total of 10 days that I assumed it would take to reach me. Well, obviously NOT. Order is still in Supplier Processing which I don't understand as a "status". In any case, I called customer care to check the status, and the IVR HUNG UP ON ME! For the first time in my (pitiful after ordering with Shop.ca) life, an IVR hung up on me with absolutely nothing given or taken. Wrote an email, got a reply within 24 hours with a templated message with "new owners, sorting issues, will seek redemption from supplier etc" balderdash. In the meantime, I have been getting a few nice words from the missus about not ordering from Amazon or somebody who has their act together. Glad that this was only a <$50 mis-experience.

My bad, but I was checking out prcing on an item using the PayPal discount and I guess I clicked a little too far. Before I knew it I had accidentally purchased the item (I've done plenty of online shopping in the past and this has never happened). Within minutes I had sent an email to their customer service department to cancell my order. I also tried calling their customer service but all calls go to an answering machine. Upon reading their cancellation policy it seems as though they'd rather send you the item and hope you keep it rather than cancell your order. Its been a week now and the only response I've had from Shop.ca is an "Ooops, sorry we haven't replied yet" email. I am now begining an escallation through PayPal. Any other site will give you an option of cancelling your order if done in a timely matter. Even Deal Extreme out of Hong Kong/China has better/faster customer service. I'm now just hoping I see my $250 again.
Shipped only 1 of 2 items, but claim both shipped together! No response to phone alls, facebooked them and got a callback, but still nothing has changed. No product, no refund. Sad. Gives other online companies a bad name. They deserve the BBB rank of F.
I received a defective Actifry and have been trying for a week to return it. They have washed their hands of this and have told me I have to deal with the supplier. I only want to return this expensive item and don`t want it replaced or repaired since I no longer have faith in the brand. I paid for a new item and certainly don`t want refurbished item bacl. If I had bought this at a local store I could have easily returned it. This is not the case with this website. They wash their hands of you. What a head-ache. I wish I had never purchased from this website.

Excellent service. I was waiting for a Tascam CD200 cd player backordered from an online merchant for over two months and no other site had them in stock either due to supply issues. I took a chance and ordered from Shop.ca and called them on Saturday to see if they indeed had them in stock. The salesperson quickly offered to verify that their warehouse did have them and was courteous and cooperative indicating that if they did not have them in stock they would give me a refund on Monday so I would not have to wait again. He called me back within an hour and indicated that he communicated with the warehouse and they would be shipping the player in a few days. The player arrived on Tuesday, well within the indicated timeframe on their website which states that it "ships within seven days". It seems the company is improving their service and I am extremely satisfied with this experience/transaction. Great service even though many in previous reviews indicated otherwise. Thank-you!
Terrible customer service, they overcharged me on my order (one item wasn't available so my discount was split between a very expensive item that I got, and a cheap item that I only added to fill the order up). They didn't contact me to see if I wanted to replace the item with another, and even after they said it wasn't available, you could still order it! I've emailed numerous times and I don't even think they look into the emails at all because I get a useless response, now I get nothing. I complained to BBB but they didn't even reply to them. THUMBS DOWN shop.ca, I hope this company goes under.
I received the PayPal email as well re 50$ credit on a purchase of 100$ or more. I tried placing an order and it wasn't very clear when how how the credits are to be applied. I got 25 from Show.ca but the other 25 I couldn't figure out. So I backed out of the order and tried again. It still didn't add the second $25 credit so I back out again and then found something that explains the 25$ from Airmiles gets applied After. So I placed the oder again three times to have shop.ca reject and cancel them due to lack of stocl. I thought it was me so I kept trying - I do think they have an issue on stock accuracy that is causing part of the problem. I deleted one item that was in stock and then all of a sudden wasn't in stock and voila... the order appears to have gone through. Both credits were eventually received and I got my 120$ purchase for 70$. I doubt I will be back. It is hard to excuse such a poor webside and confusion service in this day. It is far easier to shop on Best Buy.
Dont be an idiot... when you select an item do a quick google search, best buy. amazon.ca have way better prices... cant believe they are still in business.
Terrible... took one month for my son to get his order and then it was not what I had ordered. Several emails and phone calls on hold for ever. Save your money use amazon.ca instead.
First and last purchase on that site. Bought a refurbished item; box was already all wrecked, no instruction booklet, parts missing. VERY disappointed for a 100$ item...
I would not order something from these guys if it was free. WAY too much of a headache to try and actually get your order. Customer service is abysmal. STAY AWAY

@ Karen T, I also signed up for the Paypal/Shop.ca discounts. Purchased something for $199.99 (on sale) got both discounts. However when the package was delivered it was the wrong product and worth only half of what I actually paid and totally useless to me. (similar to others) I also tried contacting someone (anyone) but no luck. Email is a joke if you do get a response. I finally got hold of someone (on Friday) at the Toronto Office by the name of Laura, she was apologetic about what had happened and said she would contact the shipper to get it sorted. She asked if I wanted her to call me back or send and email. I said to send an email as I wanted to keep a paper trail of what is going on. Well, so far she hasn't sent any response.and at this point I'm starting to think I won't get one.
What I have done, and I recommend that anyone else who has used Paypal to make a payment, is to open a dispute with Paypal about Shop.ca. Not only will it make Paypal aware of the problems with Shop.ca, but with them involved things might get resolved.
DONT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS. I am not one to harp or go on these things but needs to be said. Their business practices are shady at best and customer service friendly yes/ helpful NO. Tell you one thing and then say well you should have read the fine print and policies before you ordered. Sorry about your luck but you are out of the 3 days return. Well one product I didnt even receive for almost 3 weeks after ordering. NICE. Anyway SAY AWAY FROM this company and will be happy to see them out of business.
I ordered a waffle iron, it came in good time - however I only purchased it to get extra Aeroplan points before the end of the year. I have sent them 10 emails, and called even more to find out why I have not received these points. NOTHING! No response.

I placed an order September 24; still have not received it. No one EVER answers the phone and I have yet to get a response to my email... super annoying. Not impressed at all.
Best to stay away, canceled order without reason and their package tracking doesn't work if you don't register. First and last time shopping on that site.

The only time an order is cancelled without reason is if it is flagged for being fraudulent and upon calling the customer we do not get a response. This is particularly common with first time buyers whose credit card information is not accurate. Please provide some information so we can see what hapened.

I got the $50 TD card bonus for Shop.ca back in November. I ordered a small food scale and it was defective. So I returned it on Dec 9 and was told by the customer service that I would get a credit. Called a few times, was assured the same but I didn't see no credit. I was out of town in early Jan and called again when I returned in mid Jan. The CS told me that TD offer ended Dec 31. WHAT? What has that to do with the offer end? I returned the defective (mind you, it's DEFECTIVE) merchandise back in early Dec and was assured that there would be a credit. After much complaining, I was told that Shop.ca would give me an exception for the $50. They really go the extra mile to anger and frustrate their customers when it's so crystal obvious that it's their fault.
By the way, if the above is not a scam, the fact that they grossly jack up the prices is definitely one. Everything is way more expensive than regular prices out there. That's why it took me so long to find even one item to purchase!
