I ordered steak knives. They sent me butcher's knives. Worth alot more than the steak knives, but not what I ordered.
2 calls, 30 minutes on hold, and 2 emails later... still no replay.
Recommend you avoid this company. No service model or ability to deliver.
I ordered a small guitar in for a Christmas gift. Order was placed November 30, wasn't shipped until December 17, expected delivery is December 30. So much for a Christmas gift, and with all the poor reviews on returns I'm not even going there! This is my first experience with shop.ca
I would stick with other sites.
There is not nearly enough details on ANYTHING they sell.
Ladies dresses? Doesn't tell you what fabric. Is it machine washable? Does it have a built in bra? And no size chart. Talk about ordering blind.
Same thing in computers - I'm in the market for a good gaming mouse - but I want a small one. NO DETAILS there either.
If I have to go and RESEARCH everything they offer before I buy - I WON'T be buying from them!
They could have a great site - with no details on anything they offer - they make themselves just another junk site.
Im having a terrible experience with this website! I bought a soda stream machine for my husband for Christmas, and we received another one so we just sent it back to shop.ca. Now they are saying we damaged it and they sent us pictures which I can only assume are fakes because the ones they used show damage to the item! They are accusing us of using it and trying to send it back when we never even unwrapped most of the parts! Horrible experience.! We never even fully unwrapped the package inside the box and we got pictures back of a used machine! Horrible! I would caution anyone using this site that their return policy is a hoax!
Update: After we threatened the people at SHOP.ca with legal action they finally agreed to give us our money back. We had to write countless emails and endure a lot of frustration. I will never shop there again.
Non existent customer service. They took a week to ship my refurbished computer, a Lenovo, and it came with a Windows 7 Product Key that is not valid and says the Windows is not genuine. After over a week of emails and phone calls from what should have been as simple as a patch and new key, I have heard NOTHING.
They did offer to replace it, but I thought it would be faster to get new product key. Silly me, I assumed they would actually do something. After reading reviews, I am dubious about getting a refund or replacement.
Not a god place to buy anything. I bought headphone. On the page it shows 365 days return policy for that product.
I didn't liked the product and asked to return them they informed me that headphones are not returnable.
When I replied to them showing evidence that the page says 365 days return policy they never replied me. I sent couple of other e-mails no response.
Whenever you try to call customer care it will go to voicemail and no one will get back to you.
Think 100 times before you buy anything here.
Recap: I placed an order in July 2017, the air miles were never credited, in November I was still chasing them and asking why with no resolution. Finally wrote a review and I received a response which is copied below. Today is December 20th and still no resolution. Read their reply and timelines compared to mine and you will see the ignorance of their customer service, according to them it takes 30 days... she writes this response 4 months after the fact... but I am in the wrong?

Sometimes it helps with simply reading the policies of a company. As per our terms and conditions, all customers will receive their Aeroplan miles 30 days after an item is shipped.

Terrible customer service. Bought an item, paid in advance and it finally showed up a week later than advertised, then checked my account and the promised airmiles were never applied? Transaction was in July 2017, it is now almost mid November and All I get is there was a problem with my account? And they are looking into the problem and will keep me posted... same email every time I ask for resolution or what was the problem with the account as every other transaction from other companies shows up within days?
My first order arrive quickly with no issues, price was good with the coupon available at the time as well.
My 2nd order has been atrocious. Customer support has been useless. The only reason I'm ordering is because of the Paypal 40 off 99 offer that was sent, otherwise everything I'm ordering is cheaper elsewhere. Anywyas, the promo doesn't work. The shop.ca checkout doesn't work with the paypal promo as acknowledged by their support staff. You'd think they'd be on to fix it right away considering its the xmas holiday buying season. However they don't seem to care. They got the free publicity from Paypal already and are just now "accidently" refusing to honor it. Shady business, site has many glitches. Customer service sucks, and the prices are not that good unless you get a promo code.
Ordered an item that arrived in time. The item was shipped from a third party seller (not shop.ca themselves). Item was not what I expected so I contacted them the same day. They issued a return label (impressed at this point). I sent it back the next day. Ever since, I receive a newsletter from that third party seller. I contacted shop.ca and told them about this. They apologized (a bit annoyed, but still a happy customer at this point). Now, over a month later, I have still not received my refund (parcel returned to them over a month ago). I contacted them several times but no response. I now started a Paypal claim. I'm convince they hoped I would just forget about the refund. Save your time and money and don't support this "company".
1st I had problems with signing up due to me forgetting my password so they sent me a temp password that didn't even work so they just let me make a new one.
2nd I ordered 2 items and one got back ordered so I cancelled it and still haven't seen my money back. The second item came today and was damaged so I have to send that back as well.
3rd I've had to e-mail them numerous times about everything and always get somebody who not only can't spell correctly they can't even help me with my obvious problems that they say they have no problem dealing with.
Horrible website, turned me off shopping online all together. I think I'm going to "shop happy" at the mall.
I Recieved both the paypal and shop.ca offers, so was contemplating trying this site. I found that the prices were not that great, but if applying the $50 credit (PayPal and Shop.ca) it could bring it down to be a pretty reasonable price.
I am glad that I came across these reviews though! Think I'll pass for now, and continue with ebay and merchant sites, until I see some more positve feedback!:-)

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I bought a package as a gift to my girlfriend who lives 3000 kms away. Gave them her shipping address and my billing address so I would receive the bill and she would receive the gift. And what do you think happened. That's right some how I got the gift that I bought for her and she received the bills that were suppose to come to me. Mind u it was suppose to be a surprise for her. Instead I got this unwanted surprise. Bravo. Learning to take time to read would be ideal but it doesn't happen with this company
Bought the e-Esso $200 cash card on Aug 26th. Never received it by email. Was promise I would receive the last week of Sept. But, never came. I don't get why they take your money before sending it out. Makes no sense. Asked for a refund. Was promise a refund between 5-10 business days... That was on Sept 28th... Still haven't received my money back. Awful service!
I have waited over 5 weeks for a refund form this site, made a claim with PayPal, which has since escalated to a dispute. No response from the vendor. I am counting on PayPal to sort this one out, because this business is not reliable. Zero customer service at a phone number that rings into a void before connecting to voicemail, where you have the opportunity to leave a message asking for a callback that will never come. Give this site a miss.
I wish I had checked out the reviews before ordering. One of my items was cancelled the day after I ordered so the paypal refund was disallowed. I tried to cancel the rest of my order twice and was told it was cancelled. Nope! Now, I have to waste my time to return the package and wait for a refund. Do NOT use this company.
Site says if you join you get $15 credit but site wouldn't apply that credit to a purchase I wanted to make.
I called -- and was told to email them. Days later they don't know what I'm talking about but tell me to look, again, for the credits. I send 3 screenshots showing where I was told to look. No credit.
I tell them. Days later they write back and say there is no credit!
What a hot mess.
My first experience with them and it is horrible -- horrible, confused, useless customer 'service'.
I doubt they will be around should I ever need to deal with a repair, warranty, etc.

To be honest, I ordered my items prior to reading the reviews. I started to panic after reading some of the reviews and considered cancelling. However, I ordered on Monday evening and my ordered arrived via UPS at my door by Wednesday afternoon. So, very happy with the service, the pricing and the goods! Thanks!
So I made my first purchase with Shop.ca after finding a discount coupon on the web. I bought a Blu-Ray TV Series Box set Tuesday morning (7AM) and received it today Wednesday (10:30AM). Other reviewers stated customer support or order issues. My order was packaged perfectly and correctly. I am glad I didn't cancel my order after reading all of those negative reviews!
Order something from them and they put the address wrongly. I only noticed it when i checked the tracking and told to the post office. And nobody follow up on shop.ca and it is already charged. Wasted a lot of time wrote them email but nobody follow up or answer. It is the worst online shoppin experience i had so far. I tried call and email. Nothing works and nobody follow. I feel fratrastured and lost money. Please be careful with this company. I know it is cheaper but no service at all.
I will never ever purchase anything from shop.ca. Again. I purchased 4 ESSO gift cards($234 Gas card bundle) from shop.ca before Christmas, but all the price privileges cards which i received from shop.ca are invalid and useless. I tried thousands of times to contact Shop.ca by all means, but I still haven't get connected with shop.ca yet. Shop.ca doesn't provide the customer Service at all. When you call the customer service # *******6722, it tells you to contact it by email. When you contact shop.ca by email. Shop.ca never reply your email back.

We provided a number for ESSO so customers may contact them about any issues after the ESSO cards are received. As you know Shop.ca is merely the marketing company and we would not be able to help you out if your giftcard is not working.
Anyhow we have checked the card numbers that were sent to you and seems like you have been using them so maybe they were working after all.
