Shop.ca charged my credit card for an order that they did not fulfil.
Each time I ask for an update on my order, I am given some false excuse and subsequently told that the problem will be fixed soon.
My recommendations for shop.ca:
1) Do not charge people before orders ship
2) If you will not be able to do something, don't keep stringing the customer along with false promises.

I've already sent 9 emails to support regarding this issue - none of the responses to my emails were at all helpful in getting my order through. How would another email to support help? Instead, your best solution is that you want me to do your job of contacting the supplier to get my item shipped?
Your company took money from me, but no service has been rendered. When I complain about it, you suggest that I go and take it up with the supplier myself. Imagine you went to McDonalds, paid for a Big Mac, and the cashier tells you to go cook the burger yourself because the cook disappeared. Shop.ca is that cashier.
They responded to my review of their website here by telling me that I need to be more patient. I've already waited 3.5 months.
The ENTIRE time, the product has been in stock on their supplier's website. It doesn't get more incompetent than this.
Ordered an item on July 23.
Emailed shop.ca on Aug 3 to update my shipping address.
They responded that the item was on back order for 4 weeks.
I responded to continue with the order.
On August 23 my credit card was charged.
On August 31 I asked for updates to my order.
Shop.ca responded saying that the item was on back order for 1-2 weeks.
I told shop.ca to continue with the order.
On September 28 I asked for an update. I mentioned that the item is listed as in stock on their supplier's web page.
I received a response that the supplier was having tech issues.
On October 18 I asked for an update on my order.
I was told that the supplier is still resolving tech issues.
On October 29 I asked for information on what the tech issue was.
I was told that the supplier had a tech issue which prevented the shipping of orders.
On November 2 I contacted the supplier, who told me that the item was in stock, and that there was no problem with shipping orders. I forwarded this information to shop.ca.
I was then told that the supplier is unable to view orders from shop.ca. Shop.ca claims that this is a problem on the supplier's side, however this is a very easy to solve problem. Just phone the supplier, or email the supplier, or use the supplier's website to make them aware of my order.
I ordered something and was lied to. The order was placed over 2 weeks ago but it hasn't been shipped out as of yet
Trying to contact them is a joke. I emailed received a generic reply that they would get back to me in 48 hours, that was another lie.
I'm not able to cancel the order and get a refund of $150.00 dollars and no one will contact me. Yet they took my money really quick.

Ordered two items from Shop.ca for my dog only to be notified 3 weeks later that Shop.ca was cancelling the order because their supplier said the items were out of stock. Not impressed. Will place my order through Amazon.ca instead. Not worth the trouble with Shop.ca
Purchased a tool item early December, site noted 7 items available. Ships within 3 - 5 days. Watched item for several months and never a change in availability always had at least 7 items. Two weeks later checked order status and item still not shipped. Noted on website item availability is now zero (first time in 6 months!). Contacted shop.ca by phone/email and told by customer care that supplier was getting more items by end of December and order would be shipped. Checked order status today and still in process and mysteriously item is no longer available on shop.ca (item has disappeared). Checked with manufacture of tool and they have plenty of stock of this tool item and this item is sold direct from manufacture to retailer (no middlemen). Customer service is a joke, sounds like I was lucky enough to speak to a service rep back in December based on the reviews here. Will demand refund and I will see how log it will take to get my money back.
My first order went great. After getting an email that I have over $35 in rewards to use toward a purchase, I tried to login, and it set me up as a new user with only the $25 signup bonus. No response to emails, no response to phone calls, never any live chat available. I will never order from them, and I will make sure no one I know ever does either.
I made a purchase at first and then reviewed this website, I made several attempts to speak to customer service via phone, e-mails and online chat. None so far, no reply from shop.ca. I would not recommend anyone to purchase any items from them. Their prices are far better, but no customer service or support team.
I ordered a sweater and it was not delivered by the delivery date. I enquired with
Shop.ca and after three days they let me know that it was out of stock. It took an additional two weeks to receive the refund. The same sweater was continued to be listed as in stock on the Shop.ca website. Stay away.
I ordered a Christmas gift for my niece and, even though the website states that the item ships from the warehouse within 7 days, it took 7 days for my order to be confirmed, with no confirmation of shipment. I'm thinking that the warehouse is in China?!
Despite my many emails to shop.ca, with generic replies back to me, and unanswered calls, I have given up hope that shop.ca is actually a legitimate business and has any intention of honouring its customers' orders.
I will NEVER buy from this site again and will warn everyone I know not to shop at this site. I am going to launch an investigation into this company and its parent company, Transformation Capital, and get this website and company shut down for good.

Recently signed up with shop.ca and my experience has been great. The sign-up was easy and simple. I ordered a few books, I received them all within the expected shipping period (5-7 business days), and shipping was free which was convenient. Overall, great shopping experience, will use again!
I ordered a blue plaid shirt and waiting over two weeks for it to be delivered, to make things worse, the shirt was not even blue or the same brand name as the one I ordered. I thought maybe I had selected the wrong shirt and checked out before confirming but my order history and invoice left no doubt it wasn't my error. After I sent an email to Shop.ca, they responded two days later with a shipping label for a refund and that the shirt I wanted was out of stock.
Ordered some Xmas presents mid november, they said it would be shipped right away. 2 weeks went by and I emailed them asking why I haven't received confirmation of shipping, they said the vendor was having issues and was backlogged and it would be assent in 1-2 weeks. I waited 2 weeks and emailed again only for them to tell me my order was being cancelled as they had no product. Leaving me high and dry and paying double for the item due to short notice for an Xmas present.
Love the site. Order was easy to track and arrived as scheduled! My only complaint is with the product. I ordered a 5 panel set of pictures that proved to be the most frustrating things to hang. The teeth on mounting bracket were so closely spaced that even a small nail would not fit in between. When the next panel was hung, we could not get it to line up by the space between each. If we got the spacing right, the branches wouldn't line up from panel to panel. We ended up removing all the picture hangers and just hung each on a nail by the wooden framing that the canvas was attached to. We just received some other pictures today and checked out the picture hanging brackets on them and they are just fine.
Placed order Dec 1st. Sent an email Dec 11th asking when it would be shipped, received and email today saying it is out of stock. Funny thing is... it was still listed for sale Dec 11th. Disappeared after I sent my inquiring email. Christmas gifts gone and it's too late to order something else. Ho, ho, ho, thanks a lot Shop.ca.
Pretty $#*!ty service.
I bought a food processor and I didn't want it after I looked at it. I wanted the more up to date one. I called them and I can't remember whether I printed out the return postage or it was in the box. But anyways I returned it no problem and no expense to me. I am not the one that buys expensive items to look at and send them back but I do make a mistakes every so often and it is nice to know it won't cost me anything. I find some of their products are higher and some are lower. You have to be a smart shopper and I do find good deals here too. It's one of my go to shop places on the net :)
I have never seen a more dedicated staff working towards getting my shipment sent out. I actually felt like a customer and not a number being contacted by droids. I have conversations with them and I find that my experience improves from shipment to shipment. They're a year old and they're very diligent. I recommend shopping with them and having a dash of faith and patience. It will be worth it in the end.
Ordered an item came fairly quickly, Quality is awful, beyond awful as they are head phones Shop.ca tells me that there are no returns, It clearly states right beneath the item free 365 day returns! I just returned bluetooth in ear head set to Amazon with no issues, Total scam artist AVOID
I have a item that is unsuitable, it's now been 11 days and I can't get anyone to email me or return my call. I need to know how to return this item, the silence is insane. I will never order from Shop.ca again.
Just realized that I ordered a gift card in July 2017 and it is now December 2017. Still have not received it, but they had no problem charging my card back in July. Avoid at all costs, they are a scam.

I placed an order on Dec. With confirmation it would be delivered by Dec 23 and as of Jan. 1st, not shipped or any communication with company. I had to suspend my credit card because I did not receive confirmation that this order has been cancelled. It has not even been shipped. No response to my emails - terrible customer service so I will not back!
Laughed out loud when asked to rate customer service. Nobody read the emails - customer service is absolutely terrible. "No notification that you cancelled the order so I cancelled my credit card. By the way, the two agents names did not match. I will never be back.

I ordered a Hipstreet ipod station. It arrived with one of the speakers defective. Two weeks later, I'm still trying to return this item. They don't return calls and they don't reply to emails. They just ignore the queries or say they are overwhelmed with orders. I'm beginning to think that I've thrown $80.00 into the garbage can. Never deal with this bunch of crooks!
