I have been a postmates customer on and off for 2 years - my most recent experience has put me off them completely.
- I was charged $44 for my order that I reviewed and approved for $27. While $44 isn't a big deal in the bigger range things that's 63% more than I agreed to! They also added a service fee post me approving the order (their support center says this is transparent fee and never added on). I tried contacting support 7-8 times - all unhelpful - the cherry on the top was the support person who said "I hope we get the opportunity to redeem ourselves with this failed order by completing more orders for you in the future."
Postmates website says item prices may change - depending on their relation with a merchant. However, their online documentation clearly states service fee will be shown at review before being applied. Also an order cost increasing from $27 (inc taxes and fee) to $44 - thats ridiculous. Not going to use them again.
What a massive scam, I had a coupon for $100 off, I should have known this was too good to be true and went ahead and did a massive order. I realized the $100 off was for the delivery fee and not the order itself too late and cancelled the order before it went through and was charged $70! I don't care what bull$#*! cancelation fee you have that's just ridiculous, what an absolute scam!
Ordered a burger and fries. Burger was delivered but the fries were missing even though he left a few in the bag and the bag smelled like fries. Obviously the driver ate my fries. (Maybe if Postmates paid them a living wage, the drivers wouldn't have to steal food from the customers.) Filed issue with Postmates and was offered a "credit" on my next order. I wrote back and said NO, I wanted a refund for something I paid for but never received. Long story short, after several email exchanges with their Artificial Intelligence customer service bots, still haven't received a refund.
Absolute trash. There is not a food-deliver service in existence that is poorer in customer service than Postmates. Ordered from CO on 2/13, was called an hour later by the delivery driver who stated the order was running 30 minutes behind. I was willing to wait for my dinner as I had already waited. He did not want to wait at the restaurant for 30 mins, understandably, and asked that I cancel the order. I assumed this would mean I would be refunded for the food I WAS TOLD TO CANCEL AND NEVER RECEIVED. Instead, in true Postmates fashion, I was charged for everything but delivery fees/service charges. For food I never received. And was told by the company to cancel. Then when I reached out to their Customer Service, they told me they could not refund the order due to the "fast nature of their business" and that it had been 2 days since the delivery date. I was waiting to make sure the charge dropped off my account! And those 2 days cost me a refund! THAT I NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAD TO ASK FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE! You can't write a worse business model script than this, my friends. Do not order from Postmates. Deleted my account today.
Today a worker put the "We Deliver with Postmates" sticker on the store window without our consent or knowledge. They also put out the Postmates discount code. Watch out for these sneaky workers!
Ordered Postmates from a local restaurant. Restaurant was delayed a bit with the food ( I understand that). Then when the postmate actually picked up my food. The postmate went to the opposite part of town to deliver another order. I did not see the the party option which gives you a better rate for delivery. Then postmate gets lost and shows up an hour later on a scooter. I had previously contacted Postmates customer service and they assured me the delivery was on the way and offered to cancel and assured me if there was a problem with the quality of the food when it got there, they would resolve the issue. Turns out once you contact support the first time you can't continue to contact support for the same order. Later on, I sent an email explaining my issue, they send back a standard apology email offering a $10 credit on a future order. For reference my order was over $100. The food took over 3 hours to get to my home. Enough said.
If I could give them a negative zero I would. Made a order with postmates, order was submitted completely wrong. Got refunded and postmates charged my card double for refunded item. After several back and forth messages through email where they repeatedly said the same thing (copy and paste responses) the issue is still unresolved. And I have a negative balance on my card. Will not be using their services again and will be posting to all my social media accts so my friends will not use this service.
Was supposed to get $25 discount for ordering for National Pizza Day on 02/09 for Blaze Pizza. I cancelled within in a minute when I realized the $25 discount was not applied. Texted to cancel, emailed to cancel and contacted Blaze Pizza location to make sure they cancelled and they said they did not have an order for me. Emailed back and forth with Postmates and their responses appeared to be standard generic responses until the most recent yesterday, which said that even though I cancelled within a minutes time, the vendor had to cancel for me to receive credit. Blaze Pizza said they never received an order for me thru Postmates and they did not receive any funds from Postmate. Had to file a dispute for the charge on my credit card by Postmates. What a scam Postmates are.
It was over * *** hours before my order was delivered even though I live just * blocks from the restaurant (I'm disabled), my order cost $**.**, it was absolutely COLD! And each taco was very poorly made (almost no ingredients), and I was not given a receipt which the manager said I needed to replace my order HOT. Not happy! What can you do to help me? So I had previously filed a complaint against Postmates for false advertising since they gave me free delivery and then charged me 8.99 USD. After they claimed to have refunded it, after 10 emails, they even provided me with a promo code to use on the next order. Rightly so, I changed my reviews and closed my BBB complaint. Placed another order using the promo code they gave me. This time the driver literally never showed up. I called them to ask for a refund of my order. They confirmed they could see the driver wasn't there. They apologized and said they refunded me for the order. Both refunds, from the original complaint and now this one, never showed up in my account and they keep giving me the run around. I'm starting to believe they never even initiated a refund. It has been 4 days now and nothing. Criminals. They have the recorded conversation of promising the refund and I have all the emails to provide as proof. Criminals.
I contacted them about being incorrectly charged for delivery fees after applying a promo they gave me. I have to say, they took care of me in a more than satisfactory manner. Wish other businesses were this quick to help customers. Due to this excellent service and honest resolution, I am placing another order later for dinner. I highly recommend Postmates to other people.
I have always used DoorDash, but today, I decided to use Postmates - biggest mistake ever. I ordered from the app at 1:18 PM - hardly during the lunch rush as it should have been winding down by this time. The app estimated my food would arrive at 2:04 PM. Fast forward to 1:45, I go back to the app to see that that my order was delayed by the merchant and the new estimated time frame was 2:19. Not ideal, I work in an area where a lot of restaraunts are no more than 5 mins away. So, I went to cancel my order because I did not want to wait an hour for food. When I go to cancel, Postmates warned I would be charged the entire amount and a cancellation fee if I canceled the order as my order was being prepared. I feel like I should be able to cancel if the driver is not yet in route with my food - which they were not. So Postmates reasoning is that you have to wait until Kingdom Come for your food if it comes to that because as long as the restaurant is "preparing" it, you cannot cancel. So, fast forward again, it is 2:32 when my food is finally delivered after I had to call to direct the driver to my location after he missed it twice instead of just calling me as he was obviously unsure as to where I was. My hot food was not even lukewarm and ultimately I spent half my lunch hour waiting on my food, so it was even enjoyable when I finally received it. I reached out to Postmates and their response was along the lines of "Oh well, I hope you will try us again in the future; we apologize for the inconvenience". There was no resolution, no good faith credit for another delivery, nothing. I didn't even want a refund as I did receive and ate the food. I just wanted a better solution than better luck next time! I will never use Postmates again, even if my next meal was free. The customer service is beyond sub par. You get robotic, lackluster, and vague responses, no assistance. I will use DoorDash from now on. Their service is timely and they actually do provide resolutions for customer problems. Postmates you need a complete overhaul on your services or you will by eclipsed by other delivery services if not already.
Tried postmates for the first time a couple of days ago. Their website reported my orders inaccurately twice in one night, the next day I tried to give it another shot, Postmates locked out my debit card so I couldn't order... today I ordered Moes full sized entrees, but I received all kids meals. When I called Moes, they said the order from Postmates stated kids meals. Mind you when I reported this incident to postmates, they said sorry, yep we dropped the ball but can't reimburse you. Free delivery not real!
I was drawn in by the offer of free delivery for my first use. They never gave me a place to enter the code, and suddenly my order was complete. I wrote to customer service and got, what seemed like, canned answers that just went around in circles. I'll never use again! $5,99 delivery charge on top of fees. No thank you. New users, don't be fooled!
Horrible app and horrible customer service. I ordered 2 sandwiches and only received half of my order. When I tried to report the issue, the app wouldn't let me submit my report. Don't waste your time and money. There's a lot of better options out there.
I received the wrong items... cool that should be an easy fix right, "WRONG" wtf would I pay another 5 dollars and put another 50 dolllar hold on my card to get the right item delivered to my house?!?!?! When i didn't $#*! up the order you had a picture and a description and an estimated price! WTF
ACTUALLY POSTMATES gets no STAR. Save yourself time and trouble. Read the reviews first, what I failed to do because with others services I have had no trouble. They don't deserve half a star. BTW BE VERY LEARY of companies who have the only way you can contact them is through email.
Today was my first time ordering and I was ordering for a business lunch. This will be my last time ordering from postmates. I decided to use them because I received ads with a promo code for first time free delivery.So I figured it would save me time and travel going to get it. I placed the order at 12:19pm the order was to arrive to my office between 1:00 -1:30pm at 2:09pm. I went to check the order and postmates tracker said my food was being picked up. So I had to go pick up lunch from across the street anyway. At 3:15 I looked again, it still said your food is being picked up. REALLY! FROM WHERE! At this point never mind. I went to search how to cancel the order. After 45 minutes THEY should have cancelled the order and contacted me.My money was already taken from my account. I emailed them. Their site reads to cancel the order after it has been prepared (being picked up) you will not be refunded. You will be charged the entire amount of the meal. I have no food and it's been 3hrs waiting for the delivery. Even if it does come I don't want I am not feeding that to anybody. It's old and cold. I go home in 1hr. Still NO phone call, no email. I emailed them to have my payment refunded, IDC what the site says, they never showed up but never contacted me about where the food went, what happened or why. They will cancel this order and put my little money back. I had to call my bank and have the transaction CANCELLED and blocked.
That's some Bad business Postmates. You lose integrity this fast you may as well call it a wrap. I will NOT be doing business with them EVER!
These is the worst app they took my money and put my order as pick up I tried to cancel right away but they kept the money saying food was ready it only took me less than 5 sec but ordering them trying to cancel the said alternative would be to order again after I lost 30 dollars worst of all I think there is some fraud going on
Used them twice- got ripped off twice. My entire sandwich was missing the 1st time- NOT A PENNY REFUND! This time the order was mixed up and instead of honey shrimp I got teriyaki beef. The difference in price is about $2.00
I hate beef, and they gave me an automatic "Average refund" for my claim, giving me $1.50 credit.
Door dash is WAAY better, and work with you- DON'T BOTHER with This company.
To start off we had 21.99 service fee plus a delivery fee and a tip, on pizza this company will never make it in a competitive world that it is becoming in food delivery. Will never use them again way better choices jay don't gouge the customer.
This company needs to be shut down! Ordered food from Panda Express on 12/24/2019 (8PM), got a call from the driver about 45 min later telling me the restuarant was closed and I was advised to cancel the order. I've Spent about $60 for this order which I never recieved, So I called to get a refund, and I was advised by Amy (customer service) that I was not gonna get a refund, because I didn't create a ticket within the hour of canceling the order. My thoughts were according to the email after canceling I was gonna get my refund minus $4 for the driver, but NOPE nothing back! So I paid for nothing and the restuarant is getting nothing. So I asked where is the money going and of course she avoided the question and stated she had to go. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! TOOK MY MONEY AND MY FOOD FROM MY FAMILY AND I ON CHRISTMAS EVE! I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK OR A CREDIT FOR WHAT YOU HAVE TAKEN!
Answer: I got charged twice instead of once. For my delivery now that they made a mistake and didn't take care of it I'll never use postmate ever again
Answer: They Don't answer you back until after 5 days so that they can say "Unfortunately we will not give you your money back because we only issues refunds if the claim is made in a timely manner" horrible company
Answer: Their app has all type of glitches and issues they did the very same to me I didn't even sign up for their free trial but I am now having to dispute a charge of 95.88 on my account. I was charged for orders I never got and also I reached out to them multiple times never got anything back. They actually put on the app that the order was resolved when I have never spoken to them this company is a fraud and I do not know why they are still in business! I'd say remove your card information.
