8 emails later over the span of 3 days and I'm told from a "customer service leader" that he has to disconnect from me (after 13 minutes of waiting on the phone to connect me to a manager) because the lines are too busy, and I can contact them via email.

Already switching to Uber eats, and telling my company to expense Uber eats and not use postmates even if it costs more because of the customer service.

Do yourself a favor, don't call the number *******726 because all they will do is tell you to get ignored via email. Just go ahead and switch your food delivery service.

First and last time I'll ever *attempt* to use them. Placed advance order for a corporate outing. Delivery window was 30min. At 20min mark, I pulled up the driver's tracker and watch them continue to just loop in circles for 15min never making it to our location (which was only 3mi or 12min from the restaurant). Realized I didn't see a way to contact the driver on the app so I reached out for help on Twitter. An hour later still no food, Twitter team was nonresponsive and just telling me "they're on their way", refusing to give me the driver's number. I call Postmates and at least that Team member acknowledged "that doesn't seem right" (shocking!). While they were looking into it, the driver is now showing an hour or 42mi away (clearing heading home with my food) and the system cancels my order (a full 2 hours after the delivery window). The team member offers a feeble apology and a $50 credit... which is never applied to my account. I try to complete a contact us form about that order on their website, get a 404 error message when I submit. THEY LITERALLY DO NOT WANT YOU TO EVER BE ABLE TO CONTACT THEM.

Terrible experience on many levels, reasons listed below:
1. I waited for delivery for 2 hours, despite the app telling me my food would arrive in 15 minutes. The estimate continued updating and saying my food would arrive in 3 minutes, even though the Postmates driver hadn't even picked up the food yet.
2. Called the restaurant, they said the food had been ready for over an hour, but the Postmates driver wasn't showing up.
3. I was unable to cancel the order without a $14 charge, even after my order was over an hour late.
4. Customer support took half an hour to call me, despite them saying they would call within 10 minutes.
5. After this experience, I was offered $5 in Postmates credit. I made it clear that $5 was not enough for the 2 hour ordeal, but they would not offer any more.
6. I drove to the restaurant that I ordered from (a lovely local family business) and they told me that Postmates hadn't given them any update on order status, and does not reimburse the merchants for wasted food, even when Postmates is the one making the mistake.

Postmates seems to have a limit of $5 reimbursement no matter how poor your customer experience is, and they are hurting merchants when their system fails to deliver. Don't use Postmates, support the restaurants with your patronage directly.

Horrible

The only thing worse than the delivery service is their customer service. First time using Postmates, delivery order was wrong. Took an hour to find customer service and when I did the rep was short, rude and refused to compensate for partially delivered meal. Avoid this delivery service if you want to enjoy your meal

Postmates is the worst food delivery service known to mankind. They are CONSISTENTLY making mistakes, (ex: not providing refund when food doesn't arrive, the food order placed on the Postmates app not matching with the restaurant, taking an exceptionally long time) and SO many fees associated with orders. When I have Uber eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub there is absolutely NO reason I will ever use Postmates again.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD
December 6, 2019

I ordered ribs last night from R&R BBQ SLC. My courier texted me 20 mins. Later saying it would be 30 mins. More for my ribs which were the feature of my order. I didn't have my phone near me so didn't get the message. 10 mins. Later he texted saying he had made a decision to skip the spare ribs. I texted immediately telling him this was not acceptable but there he was 2 mins. Later at my door. I asked if I had a revised receipt confirmation to which he assured me that the charge had been adjusted but he handed me an R&R wrinkled receipt from his pocket. It looked to have everything on it but the ribs so everyone being hungry I let the issue of an incomplete order go.

Opening the bag I was shorted another small item but thought "sloppy" but not worth complaining over. When I received a confirmation later that night that my card had been charged for the original full amount successfully became concerned. Checking the receipt my courier had handed me I saw that the receipt was for a different card number.

I don'[t know what really went on here but I now have to dispute the original charge to my cc company and deal with a fraudulent charge.

Won't order again from Postmates!

My daughter ordered food at 3:40 pm & it still was not delivered at 5:30 pm. The driver map showed he was across town, about 30 minutes away & was sitting still. He then drove in the opposite direction from our house! My daughter texted the company & the driver and never got a reply. With no other options left, we canceled our order. But it cost us the WHOLE amount of the food delivery. We were left with NO food and it took our money. WORST DELIVERY COMPANY OUT THERE> Please do not use them.

After waiting 40 minutes for our food to arrive from a restaurant that we know is super fast in meal preparation, our driver showed up with only one item from the order. The app messed up and only sent one thing to the driver's app. My app showed the final order after delivery as just the one item. Postmates made zero compensation. To add insult to injury, they "held" $46.02 on my bank account for a padded charge of $13.51. (I had free deliverywatch out for "free." It will sometimes cost you!) Obviously, the app messed up, held the larger amount because the order should have included the other items ordered! Postmates offered no compensation for only my daughter getting to eat. Not the driver's fault. (Her only fault was not being willing to come to my front door.)

Padded charges: The item they did deliver was billed at $11.17 including tax, plus $2.34 service fee = $13.51. The driver kindly brought me a new menu; I have the current prices. The item costs $9.15 + $. 64 tax = $9.79NOT $11.17! I emailed them regarding thisthey have NO phone contact availableincluded a picture of the menu, and was told, "$13.51 is correct. That is the amount the restaurant charged." The restaurant says, "$9.79." I wrote back and told them they lied, flat out lied, and the charges are padded! No reply to address the issue.

Furthermore, I had to come out of my house and walk to the driveway. One of the reasons I chose a delivery service was so that I didn't have to do that I could have gotten in my car and gotten the food myself if I wanted to get dressed and go to the driveway.

I will NEVER use Postmates again. While I don't have a huge online presence, I do know a lot of people in the real world. I am sharing my experience and alerting others to the many one star reviews. I'd wager, like me, that most of those one stars wish they could give "zero" stars!

Bottom line: Don't fall for the $100 in free delivery! It's just not worth it!

(If I'm being lazy, I'll just pay the fee to DoorDash which isn't perfect but gladly rights ever wrong and puts their money where their mouth is!)

Worst company ever to order from. Food was sitting at restaurant forever before driver showed up. Postmates was no help and wouldn't refund monies. Stay away from this company!

I wish they were reliable

Postmates seems like an otherwise great service. They're convenient and relatively cheap. However, there is little oversight and they allow their drivers to steal the food from their customers. Granted they'll offer you a refund, they will not address the ongoing issue of a driver picking up the food and making no attempt to deliver or drive towards your address. When you voice your concerns with their customer service they immediately disconnect the call with you forcing you to cancel your membership when in reality that's the absolute last thing you'd want to do. I wish they would clean up their act but because they refuse, they've lost a frequent customer.

Order and got my good in 10 Mins. Thanks to ErinnH Annapolis Maryland.The easiest order system ever. Thanks to postmate nd the driver my good was hot and perfect. WILL ORDER AGAIN USEING THIS SYSTEM

If our prepaid visa doesn't work or we have to return and get paid nothing. I just went to a delivery and my card didn't work at pickup. I got no response while there from Postmates. When I finally got theu the order was given to another driver. I was given a boat load of excuses as to why my card declined. None their fault. Go to Door Dash please!

IF ANYTHING DOES NOT GO RIGHT WITH YOUR ORDER, ANYTHING AT ALL, YOU WILL REGRET PATRONIZING POSTMATES.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NONE. THEY ARE A ZERO STAR COMPANY.

BY DESIGN NO ABILITY TO SPEAK WITH HUMAN EVEN WHEN THERE ARE ISSUES WITH ORDER. NO PROPER RESOLUTION. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER REPEATEDLY FOR WEEKS REGARDING ISSUES WITH THE SERVICE AND WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED BEFORE I JUST GAVE UP AND CANCELED MY ACCOUNT.

I HAVE BEEN USING ONLINE ORDERING SITES FOR OVER 15 YEARS, AND POSTMATES IS NOT A GOOD SERVICE. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST ANY OTHER DELIVERY SERVICE OVER POSTMATES.

Never again
November 10, 2019

I ordered from 5Guys which is exactly 2 miles from my house. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and regular fries. Postmates changed the delivery 4 times. It took over 45 min. To deliver my food. The driver literally barreled into my driveway at a high speed and said how ya doin. I said terrible 45 min. Before delivery is unacceptable. He said he had 4 deliveries before me and not his problem. He then handed me a brown paper bag saturated in grease. It looked as if he had sat on it. With that he took off. No class, no service, never again.

Cancelled order after an hour and a half after ordering. Other few times I ordered they had gotten order wrong. Deleting the app. Will never use them again

Ordered delivery, processed as pick up, waited an hour. Contacted them and was told there would be fees to change the order to delivery. Looks like I'm going to have to pick it up myself, just what I wanted to do. Thanks Postmates

They missed something from my order, when I contacted them about it they said they can't just dispatch a driver to retrieve the rest of my order, but if I want to place an order they could send someone. Umm so you want me to rebuy the thing I just bought so you can send someone else to screw up my order? No thanks. I will never use them again.

SO THIS IS THE 2ND BAD EXPERIENCE THAT I'VE HAD WITH THEM! GOD FORBID THAT ANYTHING GOES WRONG, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALMOST NON EXISTENT OTHER THAN THE OPERATOR ON THE OTHER END SAYING "I'M SORRY BUT I CAN'T HELP AND I CAN'T TRANSFER YOU TO A SUPERVISOR. THEY SENT EMAILS ON BOTH OCCASIONS, THAT SEEMS TO REFLECT THAT THEY ARE NOT EVEN READING THE ACTUAL ISSUE OR RESPONDING TO THE MATTER AT HAND. JUST THAT THEY'RE SORRY AND CAN'T HELP LOL. PLEASE PAY THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT LISTED ON SITES LIKE DOORDASH TO AVOID PAYING MONEY FOR FOOD THAT COMES INCORRECTLY OR NOT AT ALL AND BEING FORCED TO PAY ANYWAYS. OR BEING CHARGED THREE DIFFERENT AMOUNTS FOR THE SAME ORDER AND NOT RECEIVING A REFUND OR EXPLANATION AS TO WHY. I TRIED TO POST A PICTURE OF THE CHARGES, BUT IT DIDN'T ALLOW ME TO.
