I received the notification from amazon at 10:47, PST. I entered the site at 10:53, PST (6 minutes later) and everything I tried to purchase was already sold out. (3) pair shoes, (2) pair sandals, and (4) different styles of jeans. Why bother if everything is already gone? Not just my size either, most everything was completely gone or 1-2 left in the smallest sizes...
I have placed orders with this website. Within a week, I was sent 2 incorrect items that I didn't even order. When I called customer service, only response was send the items back which requires printing labels packing the items and a taking trip to post office/UPS to return these items. Of course, great deal of time and effort is wasted for nothing. I was highly disappointed with their response. It seems like they just send you whatever they have and not what you ordered... Also, each time they said they can't send you the correct item since it is SOLD OUT! REALLY!
If you search for the same merchandise in google you can usually find it for the same price or less right on the amazon website. Bunch of hype to get you excited but not worth it. Unless you want to buy designer jeans from a defunct company that was clearing out inventory for the same price! Without the BS limited quantity/already in someone else's cart crap.
I have chanced upon myhabit when I had to buy a pair of high fashion shoes that had as expected ran out of the shops as soon as they were put out. I have vast experience in online shopping being both a buyer and a seller. So I googled a bit and I was lead to the greatest site ever. Not only do they have the right size for me, they are priced very low, way low than the other fashion sites that I frequented before. I stayed on the site to browse some more and was delighted to find out that there are other awesome items as well in other categories. Like a true fashion diva I appreciate the e-mail they send to keep me updated on the latest sales! It sometimes suck because others get there before me but it's ok, I win some, I lose some. Also, a special shout out to their great after sales customer care for replying promptly and comprehensively to my queries and requests.
Another one of those designer sale websites, but this time from Amazon. Because it is run by Amazon, the customer service is amazing. You can return most things (even a 1K wedding dress) for a flat rate of about $4. Shipping to you is free. They also refund you back to your credit card (Gilt only gives you credit back). Finally, I have noticed that their sales tend to run slightly cheaper than other sites, like Gilt (for the same exact items).
One last thing. Gilt has created these fake designer brands to make you think that you are getting huge savings, but you can't really compare because they don't exist outside of Gilt. I have never seen myhabit pull that kind of stunt.
You get 5 stars!
The intro coupons made speed shopping a little worth it but, it seems those are gone. So tired of having to RACE to try buy something here. By the time I get a chance to look at what they offer, they are sold out. Saw some really cute kids boots and of course couldn't get them. So, I Googled the brand and guess what? NOT the lowest price on the net and I could actually order them like a real human being and not a frenzied monkey. I'm done with MyHabit. I look but then go browsing for the brand somewhere else. They are not the only site that offers free shipping and returns either. I'm over it.
Just be aware when you buy because some of the merchandise is not returnable. I purchased a pair of boots and they sent me two right shoes. These were tagged "not returnable"... sorry but you sent me two right shoes. MYHABIT didn't seem to have two lefts laying around anywhere and said I could just donate the two right shoes I received. Um, ok? They did refund my money because of the circumstances.
I order my stuff November 6, and they still haven't mailed it. It has an estimated date of Nov 26. I like their stuff, but wow do they take long to ship it. This is first and last time i order from my habit.
I ordered some tops for my son in a 10/12. When it came they were TINY, more like a 6/7. I thought it was just the brand so I exchanged for a different brand of tops and again, they were labeled a 10/12 but were sized more like a 6/7, and these tops are nonrefundable.
I did have some luck with ordering PUMA things for him, but I'll not be ordering clothes through them again.
I like My Habit and have been a customer for several years and I have no problems with their ability to deliver or exchange merchandise. However, the sun rises in the East, and My Habit sales starts in the West where most of the inexpensive things are all gone by the time the sale starts in the East. My Habit needs to fluctuate between the East and the West coast, by allowing the East to get first shot at the sales. There is no fairness in this area.
If I could put 4.5 stars, this would be my score. The customer shopping experience on the site is great, which is not a surprise, as it is powered by the industry-best Amazon. They often have very good deals on some sweet brands. Their customer service was very responsive. In my last order they shipped me wrong size shoes ( 3 instead of 8, yeah), and because it was a no return item, refunded me without the need to ship it back (I just donated it). Of course, as usually happens in these cases, the size I wanted was sold out. Knocking off the 1/2 star due to their new shipping/return charges. I understand why they needed them, but I loved my free shipping on all orders. May be they can expand perks to Amazon Prime member.
I've ordered a few different things within 6 months (tie & cufflinks, a ladies suit, men's shoes, women's shoes and a huge children's train set) from MyHabit and I haven't had any problems at all. The shipping to Australia is very cheap ($15) and everything arrives quite fast! However, I always order knowing that I probably can't return things given that international returns are too expensive.
First off, for us people that reside on the east coast, the sales don't go on line until 12 noon, when most of us are at work. When I have managed, after great effort to buy a number of things, mostly women's handbags, it was very rushed. If you don't jump on your item quickly, they sell out. Usually with in first 2 hours of sale. The most disappointing thing is, the quality of merchandise! Not what I expected, even from the somewhat vague descriptions item. I have returned more items than I have kept. The most insulting part of the whole transaction is you don't get your money back, they only give you an amazon gift card good for future purchases, I'm afraid I won't be doing much purchasing from this site in the future. It's to bad, the basic philosophy of site is great but in practice is disappointing.
This is a site that emails you everyday *except*, apparently, when they change their policy. Was a fantastic site before they suddenly started charging for return shipping. I would have been more understanding of the change, if they had bothered to tell me about it. They probably feel they're big enough to not sweat losing customers at this point.
So, TN convinced me to take a chance and I impulse bought 3 pairs of shoes that were not the correct size (but based on product reviews, apparently manufacturing discrepancies were in my favour). One thing that I noticed was that one of the boxes was damaged on the side and taped over, but that caused one of the shoe boxes to get extremely warped. Not a big deal since nothing was damaged, but they might want to look into sturdier packaging...
Returning the two that didn't fit was easy with pre-paid shipping labels, and the free shipping both ways is definitely a plus. The best thing is that although they can't refund you, a gift card usable on amazon.com, endless.com or myhabit.com is definitely useful so it's not like you're stuck with $x and have to find things to buy on other sample sites (one of the reasons I took a chance). They issued the credit very quickly too after receiving the item.
I have ordered several times from the website. Twice I placed items in my cart and checked out only to discover the size had been changed. When I contacted customer service they only said sorry and I didn't get any of the items I wanted! I've also received the wrong items a couple of times. You would think a large company like Amazon could do better. The Amazon website gives good customer service, very disappointed in "My Habit"
I thought the site was great until my last two orders last week. One order came without tags and the label inside one of the pieces was worn out. They went back. Then this latest order, the tag looked like the ones you find in a vintage store. Supervisors swore up and down they only buy new from the designer and nowhere else. Well, I tracked down the proper people at the design house itself and was emphatically told that they do not sell to MyHabit, and according to the tag that was attached to the piece, it's from 2009. When I tried to get to the bottom of it, all I got was a run around between corporate in NY and corporate in Seattle. Disgraceful.
I have been an avid user of Gilt and Haute Look for years. I also work with Amazon.
I have not used My Habit regularly because the merchandise is spotty.
Today, I placed an order with My Habit using my mobile phone. I ordered a belt. Within moments, I received an e-mail that my belt and painting were on the way! I went to the site and tried to cancel the order within five minutes. It responded with a system error. I went online with Chat within a half an hour of placing the order. The representative said that my order was already on its way! I have been charged for a painting I did not intend to order. This note was followed quickly by My Habit's return policy in an e-mail.
Regardless of whether this experience is resolved, I'm done with them. The service experience didn't fit what is presented as a "premium" brand.
Just received an Ivanka Trump bag with the straps unglued from the hardware. Very shoddy packaging as well. Overall, everything feels cheap and wreaks of scam. Hard to believe there is any associations to Amazon.
I saw a $775.00 Calvin Klein white shirt for sale for $149.00 on their site. I bought it! It came with a label from Calvin Klein attached saying, "Suggested Retail - $98.00"! I was appalled, felt used and what do they think I am, stupid? I called to let them know and all they would do is refund me the balance between 149.00 and 98.00 - which means there's no discount and it's a supposedly discount site. Then, when I decided, forget it, I'll return it - they wanted to charge me a 3.99 return fee! After much time on the phone with supervisors, I finally got that 3.99 fee waved. I tell you what, I am telling everyone I know this story and you should too if you're reading this.
Answer: Hi Patty. I got someone on the line but I just want to put it out there the facts regarding return policy. Make sure you have the right phone number and order number with you when you call. I just don't think it's fair not be able to return the item when it still has a tag on and never worn. 14 day window to return the item is really short. I do like the thins I can buy through them, brand things with discount prices.
Answer: Where's my return?
Answer: I have been shopping with Myhabit for years (about 21/2) and have never had a problem that couldn't be resolved. I have found many designer items: Jay Godfrey, Valentino, Michael Kors, Trina Turk, Sam Edelman, Nha Khan and many others and they have ALL been authentic. The prices are very good from 60-80% off, some items of course are more than others, delivery is generally within 4 days and refunds are available within 14 days (method you paid by or credit) and customer service has been excellent. I have read the reviews from other customers but have never rec'd fake products or had a problem with a refund. Customer service has allowed me to refund items that are not refundable if there are any product issues. FYI Amazon prime members start shopping@ 8:30 as opposed to everyone else at 9:00am PST. Best way to use the site is to select an item that you like and add it to your "cart" the item remains for 15 minutes. Use this time to look online to see if this is the best price for the item. I have found a better price about 10% of the time. If you do have a problem, those chat lines work best and the customer service reps are generally very helpful. Even though they are owned by Amazon, Myhabit has better prices on exact items. Now shop! Hope this helps and I'm not the easiest consumer to deal with if there are problems.
Answer: I have read several responses from folks who purchased "name brand" items and were disappointed to learn that they were copies.
Answer: Whatever you purchase from that site, compare prices at other sites and be vigilant about the quality.
