Happy Enough

Easy to book. Website was informative enough. Pay now but able to cancel within a specific time prior to the date of travel was good too. Saving was excellent against other booking sites.

I booked a hotel room through Hoteling for two nights on May 5th, arriving at the hotel on May 20th. Today (May 17th) I called the hotel where the booking was made to confirm. I'm then shocked to learn that said hotel had been booked up full, and then sent a message back to the 3rd party (Hoteling) telling them this. The hotel sent the message to Hoteling the SAME DAY I first booked the hotel. I have lodged a complaint on Hoteling.com, but as of now have yet to hear from them. I'm fearing that that they will simply say tough luck and I'll be out 330$, and having to spend the same amount at a different establishment.

This doesn't even deserve 1 star... I paid for my Boston trip in full back in December for my hotel. In April during my business trip, I was already there and I called the hotel to verify that they had me in their records as I prepaid with Hoteling, and they had no record of me! Hoteling failed to do their job to book me the hotel that I paid for in full. I was already in the city stranded and hoteless/homeless. I had hours of calls and going back and forth with customer service which by the way, runs on European time, so I had to wait until the next day to get some answerer! I missed work and a few conference sessions because of this unacceptable unprofessional attitude they had. I told them they are required to find me a hotel because I paid in full (they had my money 5 months ago!) and I cannot be homeless for a work trip. I wanted a hotel near the conference... they had the nerve to find a hotel 40 miles away! Then after going back and forth, they finally were able to get me back in the original hotel that I should have gotten from the beginning. This was hours of stress, tears, and time! I missed work because of this and I would have been on the streets. I have no trust for them at all. Nothing was done as far as a formal apology or some kind or credit or refund. I don't trust this establishment and I will be providing further feedback, info to BBB, and my thousands of friends on my social media sites to warn them. Never again. I am hoping to hear back from this company with respect to an apology of how everything was handled and a credit because I missed work.

SCAM ALERT

HORRIBLE COMPANY! SCAM ALERT!
DO NOT EVER USE HOTELING. COM!

I booked a hotel with them and they never paid the hotel. Only charged my card for the full hotel price. Then I changed my travel plans, so I called them to update it and they said no refunds, no changes, NOTHING! So I called hotel directly and they said the reservations were canceled by Hoteling. I asked them if they impose a fee? They said no, that they received nothing and charged nothing for changes or cancellations. That the company Hoteling was keeping my money, not them.

So i called Hoteling. Com again and they said, no refunds, changes or anything. And that I am at a FULL LOSS of payment, even though no services have been rendered and I'm weeks away from the dates!

So they screwed me out of all the hotel money, paid!

I'm truly sorry to hear that you're disappointed with our service. Please let me assure you, that we would never pressure anyone into booking with us, and while making the booking you need to confirm our policy. As you've agreed on it, it means that unfortunately if you decide to cancel the booking within 10 days till departure (5 days in your case) it will be a full loss (more than 10 days we are returning all the money paid, unless it's a non-refundable option). When booking with us you need to agree on our, not hotels policy which results in applying our cancellation charges. I apologise that your experience with us wasn't as satisfactory as it could have been.

Crap

I have booked and paid the room through Hoteling.com - by mistake because it was not clear through reservation process, I have put my data as the data of the guest and I was doing only the reswervation. Change the name of the quest for hoteling bacoume the task not to overcome. The worst service ever. I would like to underline that I didnt want to cancel reservation change the date or the type of the room the problem is to change even the name of the guest.

The hoteling is so crap that they didnt even understatnd my complai - I didnt want to cancel or change reservation - I just wanted to change the name of the guest on the booking - and this is problem impossible to overcome...
Not only not helping but making troubles but also stupid - now I know why so many bad reviews of the service...

I'm extremely sorry that our service didn't meet your expectations. Please let me explain that usually there is no possibility to amend the reservation, however the customers can cancel the booking without any penalties within certain period of time and rebook it from the very beginning (unless the booking is made with the non-refundable rate). I'm sorry if you found this disappointing, however there is nothing more we can do in this occasion.

So I booked through the this company more than a week ago and when I called the hotel they have no record of my reservation and the confirmation code that you get is not related to the hotel so there is no way to track the transaction. Hoteling told me that they have emailed their supplier who would then contact the hotel. This was 6 hours ago. I have again spoken to the hotel in question and they still have no record of my stay which is to start in 6 hours. Not sure what to do. Very unhappy customer. Stay away from this company!!

I just tried to cancel a $400 booking through hosteling.com. The website let me cancel, but they did not refund my money. When I called, I spoke to someone who barely spoke English who informed me that I would have had to cancel ten days before my trip. Not true. I tried to do so before the ten day mark and it still said then that I would be owed no refund. So now they have canceled my booking claiming they "can't retrieve it", and I'm out $400+. What a scam!

Scam

I should have read the "beware of hoteling.com" comments online before booking with them. I booked a hotel in Cancun for 7 nights for $2,100 usd. I never received an email confirmation but my credit card was charged almost instantly. I thought to wait what they claim to be a period of "72 hours" for the reservation to take place and called their Customer Service that should be named "lack of customer service", where someone in Poland that barely speaks English tells me that they cannot provide any information about my reservation because it is the responsibility of the "accommodations" department, (which there is no way to contact them) and they have Europe hours and work from 10-5pm. Called back to the Hoteling.com phone number and waited on hold for 21 minutes. Finally a lady answered who did not speak English well too. I explained what had happened and after telling me the same answer, she explains that my reservation is cancelled because there is no availability with the hotel?! Seriously, they held my money for 7 days! This is absurd I haven't received my money back but will probably take 5-7 days if I am lucky. Will never book or recommend Hoteling to anyone or Trivago which is the site who led me to them.

Once the booking is made, we do our best to secure chosen accommodation with the hotel, however it may take a few days to get booking confirmation. On the very rare occasion when we're unable to confirm booking, we have to cancel it and proceed with a full refund.
I can imagine it's inconvenient. Once again, please accept my apologies for the experience that was not as pleasant and it should have been.

Easy process, reasonable prices

The title says it all really. The process was very easy to follow, when I arrived at the hotel that we had booked, we simply handed over the voucher and it was as straight forward as that.
Before our stay, I raised one question about the booking on line that was answered very promptly. Would use again.

I made a resveration for a longer stay in Thailand.
The entire amount was deducted from by card immediately.
However, I did not recieve any cooking confirmation.

The hoteling customer service is unreachable, and they do not reply to my emails.
After numerous attempts, i was told that it could take up to 72 hours.
It has now been one week. I called the hotel, and they had not gotten any reservaitons from hoteling in my name.

All of m genes tells me this is fraud. I scincerly hope they will refund my booking, now that I have canceled it.

Winter Sun

Had an excellent experience at this complex and would recommend to both couples and families. Food was of good standard and choice was over a wide range. Our only problem was with housekeeping who run out of clean towels one day and the wireless connection was a little unpredictable on some days.
However overall I felt the hotel was good value for money and the staff very friendly and helpful at all times.
