Took forever
September 9, 2022

It took 82 days for them to complete the job. That is from the time they put the first window in til that completed by putting the last screen in. Very POOR pro service. I would most likely still be waiting if I did not call and find out the screens have been sitting in the warehouse for a week. Windows are good but service is a 1.

I tried to find where I could post a local review about this gentleman that helped me today and was unable to find out where. I ended up having to go to home depot twice in one day today, 9 May 2020. Both times I was asked (I didn't have to go find, or stop someone rushing by) by Chris G. If I found what I needed. Chris was the most helpful and problem solving person I have met there. The fitting I needed was out of stock but he found a way (instead of no we are out) to make two other fittings work. It has been a while since I have had such great customer service anywhere. Wish I could do something for him, He made my day!

Worst experience dealing with home depot.
May 24, 2022

For home depot next day delivery means four days of wait... and end result is "we can not deliver, only option it is to go pick them up yourself".
Their excuse was we can not navigate your street. This is some bull$#*! excuse, my house is located on two way big $#*! street.
It is my second bad experience with home depot and also my worst with any retail store.

Gone are the days when you could find a retired electrician, carpenter or plumber working at Home Depot. The employees are inexperienced, almost impossible to find except for the cashiers, and you have to wander the isles looking for items. Extremely overpriced for electronic items, even the ones on clearance that are missing parts. Never scheduled a delivery, so no comment on that. An abundance of twine is usually located outside the store to tie down your trunk lid for large items.

I have used this company for a long year now, No problems with them. Super-fast delivery! Purchased all my kitchen aid electrical items from them. Prices very competitive for all their brands.
Those of you complaining about the kitchen aid mixer and hearing the motor... You would think for the price it is but it isn't! You're paying the brand and don't forget it's an item from the USA! And as for the hooks not spinning properly... Well, maybe you haven't attached it properly! Kitchen aids are not for amateurs!
I highly Home Depot would send a faulty mixer; it's in a very sealed box blame kitchen aid not YHD!
Will keep using and keep purchasing my brands. No bad experiences here!

Business Partners
June 13, 2023

Home Depot products and prices are fair and of good quality. The problem arises when they take an order and pass it off to a Business Partner (subcontractor). Home Depot does not manage its Partners. They leave the customer at the mercy of the subs, who might expect you to jump through hoops. You will find your only recourse is to cancel the order. Once you cancel the order, you'll find Lowes is more expensive but make up for it by managing the subcontractors on EVERY order until it is completed.
If you don't need a sub, Home Depot is fine. But if they pass you off to a sub, cancel and go to Lowes.

I've ordered major appliances from them and they are great. Ordered a gas range a refrigerator and washer and dryer. You have to shop around for a while online check every so often to really come up on a deal, they usually always have 10% off with fliers but they always have it with their credit card and you get 6-12 months interest free if paid off by the end of that period. And also get free haul away of your old appliance and sometimes free shipping.

Terrible carpet install
February 14, 2017

All the carpet we had installed has been buckling for three years in all bed rooms and hall way. Installer lead man cut his hand during the install and left two helpers to finish most of the job. After the second year we complained to HD and they wanted to charge us to have them make it right. WRONG. We had a local carpet installer come in fix the buckles and now all the rooms have them. We are older people, no kids, no pets. Actual carpet still in great shape Except buckling in all rooms. Save yourself the headache and purchase from a local, reliable carpet store with full time installers.

Please don't use Home Depot to order an appliance you need delivered. Their customer service people are nice but have zero information to fully process your order, you will spend days on the phone, miss major amounts of work, and you will never receive your item.

It's been two months since I paid in full and my carpet has not been installed. Twice installers cane out here and were not able to do it, second time because there was a stain on the carpet and now they are saying the stairs can't be be and I need to pay an additional $250., what the what? I hope I hear back from Home Depot soon... at what point does it become theft?

Purchased an appliance + delivery + installation + 5 year cover, the full package basically. The box was damaged on the track and was not delivered, I was provided a number to call to which kept disconnecting, at some point I got tired and someone from home depot called me to tell me to call them again because the CAN'T CALL! Only receive calls. Basically they currently hold my purchased money with no plans to deliver anything.

Are you ordering a large, heavy item like a vanity? They will drop it off at your home without any notice, or delivery arrangements. You are expected to move it into your home yourself, which would be possible if you knew it was coming and got extra help. This lack of a phone call from Home Depot to arrange delivery will now cost me $600 to have movers pick it up and deliver it to my 5th floor condo. The store manager was kind enough to give me a $200 credit, not knowing that my cost will be $600. I would not recommend purchasing anything heavy, online from Home Depot.

Greatest Customer Service
June 2, 2022

We were shopping for electrical items at the West Bend, WI Home Depot. We were having difficulty finding everything on our list. Brad was the best help we could have asked for. He not only found all of the items on the list but when the wall switches were not on the shelf, he found that they had just come in and got them off the pallet for us. This was not only the best shopping experience we had at Home Depot, but it was the best shopping experience we have had anywhere. I hope to run into Brad the next time we shop there. He truly is a valuable employee who cares about his customers.

Lady caught thief
September 4, 2023

I can't believe what happened this afternoon, some lady was holding a dude on the floor in a choke hold because he apparently stole her wallet. Dude was screaming like a $#*! and the crazy $#*! is none of the home depot employees offered to help her. To be honest she was handling herself just fine. All I got to say was dude met his match today!

Find it on your own
December 28, 2015

If you know what you need then go to Home Dept. Wash your hands before you leave because guaranteed they will be dirty if you touch anything in that store...

They usually have a wide variety of hardware and appliances. Love their discounted appliances. Sure miss the Home Expo!

Problems occur in hardware stores like Home Depot... that's OK... but when store management and district management refuse to take your direct phone call... that is a problem. If your job is slowed down by their problem... and you have to get productivity back online... good luck if management won't address you. I have other options... and I will use them... instead of HomeDepot.

I have grown to hate shopping at this place. Aisles crowded with junk and you can't get a cart through.
No service, all employees seem to hide when you need something and then they are diversity hires and haven't the slightest idea of what you need.
I think I am finished shopping at home depot.
I had been a customer for over 2o years

I will never order anything else from homedepot.com. The service is pathetic. When you have a problem they transfer you to other people. It is never their problem.

Ordered a ceiling fan online. A Hampton Bay fan which is sold through HD only.
Mistake number 1. Do not order Hampton Bay products. The parts are all made by other subcontractors. I ordered a part which is under warranty on May 22,2014. Still waiting for it. They (the Home Depot Hampton Bay center) ordered it but the supplier did not ship it. I have all these people phone numbers with their extensions. No body answers the phones nor returns your phone call. Including the supervisor. Do not believe what they promise. Not one of the HD reps I talked to took notes. So every time I call I have to start all over again. What a disaster.
Do not order from homedepot.com they will leave you hanging. It is cheaper to buy another product somewhere else.

Why is customer service always so awful at Home Depot. Ordered a few items online and went there to pick them up. It took forever to see this guy at the customer service and he just gave me rude attitude. I tried to be nice and stuff but man! I guess you could have a bad day but if you are going to treat your customers like that, you should not work at the customer service.

I visited the nearest Home Depot located at 610 Exterior St. In the Bronx on Sunday, September 2,2018. I was looking to purchase vinyl floor planks and needed additional information on it. There were no employees available to assist me, so I when directly to customer service area in front of the store and explain to them what I was looking for.
The female customer service made the announcement to have a sales staff go at aisle 42. I Then waited for ten minutes and no one show up.

It seems the employees hide out and are lackadaisical. Where is the help when you need it? The Manager is responsible for the non-work ethics. If the employees in Bronx location don't want to work, replaced them with people who Inspired to perform their work duties.
