I ordered a golf pool table light from Hayneedle.com and they sent me a light with old guys playing pool in a billiard hall. Then I had to send that light back and wait another 2-3 weeks for the correct light to come. Finally the second light arrived today. The light is supposed to have four sides to it and they only sent two sides and one of the sides that actually arrived is shattered. Honestly, who do you have working at your company? A bunch of meth heads? You take a purchase order grab the correct items and package it thoroughly in a box. Its not rocket science people. If you are reading this don't buy from Hayneedle.com. Pick another other company because there is no way they could possible be as bad as this company.
I ordered my grandsons Christmas the first of October. It never came so I began making numerous calls about it. They kept assuring me it would be here by Christmas. I called again today 1 week before Christmas and was told they have no idea if or when I will get my order! I cancelled it immediately and will NEVER order from here again!
Tried to order a gift certificate for a family member for Christmas. Placed an order in early December that was inexplicably canceled. I thought it was possible I mis-entered my payment info or made some mistake while entering my billing/shipping info so I figured it was fluke and tried again a week later, this time double and triple checking that all of my information was entered correctly.
My order was canceled without explanation AGAIN. I chatted with a customer service rep immediately this time trying to get an explanation of what happened. He said he would look into it and I would receive a follow up email the next day. I never received any follow up, so I sent an email to customer service a few days later, again asking for an explanation and if it was even worthwhile for me to try to continue to purchase something from hayneedle. The response I got was that my payment could not be verified and that I need to contact my bank. In the week+ that I've been dealing with hayneedle's customer service BS, I've used the exact same credit card to make purchases from multiple other online retailers, so I can pretty much guarantee that the card is not the problem. But it's fine, if hayneedle isn't even going to attempt to try to solve problems with THEIR OWN SYSTEM for customers, I'm happy to take my business somewhere with functional systems and decent customer service.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HAYNEEDLE! I ordered four items. I received my confirmation email. Then I received an email stating my order was cancelled. I called and asked why and they said they couldn't tell me but there wasn't a good reason and they would place the order again AND posted charges to my credit card AGAIN. I have been checking my credit card statements every day and neither of those charges have fallen off. Today, I check my card and now they have charged me a THIRD time for almost the full amount! So I currently have over $1,700 in limbo over a $600 order!
I am currently changing my review from a 1-2 star to a 5+ star. After my initial review, I received a message from a manager at Hayneedle who apologized for my experience and reviewed the call with the initial customer service rep. She then offered to provide me with the expired discount of 15%. Packages were delivered with sleigh bed and two nightstands. Upon opening up one of the nightstands, there was a lot of damage that couldn't be fixed and so I took some pictures thinking that getting a new nightstand would be like pulling teeth which was not so. I contacted Hayneedle regarding the damage and they processed a return over the phone and when processing my order there was a new price on the item that resulted in a better price for me, this was all handled within 5 minutes. Order was processed and shipped via FedEx to our home (just got it and haven't opened yet so I'm hoping this one is ok). I have to say that after my initial "negative" review they really turned my opinion around and I will happily shop with Hayneedle in the future. I fact, I already have ordered a new trundle/daybed for my daughters room that is being delivered tomorrow. I'm a happy camper.
So, I forgot to complete an order for a new bedroom set on Hayneedle yesterday so I missed out on one of their discount/ coupon codes. Well, I was getting ready to purchase today and the price is $1671. 76. So I decided to search and see if I could find a better price (which I did) from another online retailer for $1,320.00 including shipping. I called because I saw on the website that Hayneedle offers a Best Price Guarantee. Their website even makes it seem like the guarantee is against any other online retailer. After my call today, I was told that they only pricematch against Amazon, Crate & Barrel, Jet, Overstock, Pottery Barn, Wayfair or West Elm. I would have been happy with just receiving the 15% coupon code that was available through last night. When I called Hayneedle to inquire about their supposed "best price guarantee" the CS rep was unhelpful and rude.
I ordered 1 package of 3 wall shelves and when the package arrived I opened it and noticed 3 pieces were missing. Why would you ship a package that does not include all of the components in one box?! I can't even hang anything up. I'm missing 3 rods that get nailed to the wall for these shelf sliders to slide on. They're sitting on the floor now. This is useless
We are in an RV Park temporarily as we live full time in our RV. I order online ALOT of course and have never had a problem. Not true with Hayneedle, they will not deliver to me or to the office of the RV Park. Thats ok though because I can get the same item from someone else. They will not be in business long with the rules they have in place. I'm definitely done with them and would encourage you to look elsewhere!
Horrible with returns, quick to respond via email telling you to wait 4 business days even they to received the item back 10am 3 days prior. Ending up having to make a phone call in order to get my refund and then the refund ended up being less than what was stated in the email. Definitely will NOT use them again.
Id like to write a review for an elevated garden I purchased this past spring. I went on the Hayneedle web page, to get the exact product name/model number, and low and behold, its been discontinued. Go figure! Nor surprised, since the bottom of mine collapsed and dumped all the soil and content of the vegetables growing in the garden in my yard. Wow, what a piece of crap. I asked for a refund, and guess what? Yep, thats right, I dont qualify. Humm! So a raised garden on HayNeedle.com is not even guaranteed 6 months. My advice to anyone thinking about purchasing ANYTHING from this company, think twice. They are a fly by Night Company, and pay no attention to the reviews they have posted, and pay close attention to this one. I will save you the hardship and money I lost dealing with this company. My advice: DONT BUIY ANYTHING FROM THEM!
Pentair ******* IntelliChlor IC40 Salt Chlorine Generator Cell - Do not buy this product. Mine quit working after 1 summer this year, my old one lasted 6 years. I bought it March 25,2017 and it quit working about 3 weeks ago. $709.30 down the drain. This company won't do anything about it. Don't buy from them. This won't be my last product review on this vendor. I am very disappointed!
I went to check on the status of my order and it says cancelled... no email to me notifying me of this, no reasons, no nothing?! This on top of the fact that they didn't accept the coupon they sent me due to "exclusions" when there are no exclusions listed on the coupon! Finally, the email us option on their website works about 10% of the time. So you go through the trouble of typing out the issue for it to say "sorry... to working"
I ordered the XL MidWest I crate for my dog. The strength of the crate is not at all what they claim, my dog gets out of it easily with just the latches it came with, the latches are a joke so we have to use carabiner clips all over it because it has 2 doors. It also arrived dented and damaged and the company could care less. The shipping was quick, it arrived in 3 days but highly disappointed in the quality and its a bit difficult to put together and take down if your someone who needs to transport it a lot, thank goodness we have just had to take it down to move it in the house. This crate is not a good buy if you have a large breed dog, we have a shepherd and bought this for her as a puppy, she still uses it but its bent and coming apart in many places, she doesnt even use it that much anymore and still it has damage throughout it that keeps coming up. I would look into a sturdier crate if you have a large dog.
In a nutshell, I had ordered couch cushions to be shipped to Hawaii and the order was canceled with no notification sent to me. Today I called to check on the status of my shipment and was informed of this. Very, very annoyed. I spoke to a customer rep today who is very nice and helpful and listen to my disappointment. He expedited it up the chain to see if it was possible to resend out to Hawaii. Evidently the problem was the shipping address was different from the billing address. Whaaaat? I believe that's quite common. Anyway I see an email now from Hayneedle stating my new order is being processed. I have requested that it be sent out priority mail but it looks like they won't do that even though it's holding up decorating my condo I plan to rent out.
I had written a bad review regarding my experience with the purchase of a coffee table from Hayneedle. Within 30 minutes of posting on sitejabber, I received an email from the Corporate Escalations Liaison (KariA) from Hayneedle who has pledged to get this resolved ASAP. Not only was this resolved in a timely and professional manner, they went out of their way to compensate me of the trouble I had to go thru (I didn't ask for it), At the end, they have won my future business because of the World Class Customer Service they provided to get my issue resolved!
I ordered a coffee table. It arrived in 2 days as promised BUT without the hardware!
OK; I figure "it happens" and so I picked up the phone and called Hayneedle to request that they ship me the missing hardware (screws, nuts/bolts,... etc). The customer service rep was courteous and promised that he will call the manufacturer and expedite this. Nothing happens for 2 days and so I called again. Again, the customer service rep was courteous and apologized. She reached out to the manufacturer and said I will hear from them in a day. Well nothing happened and so I called again. The 3rd customer rep called the manufacturer again and nobody picked up the phone. So, 7 days after I received my coffee table, NOT only do I have NO hardware to assemble the coffee table, I still don't have an ETA!
I am trying to be calm and reasonable the best I can; but frankly, I don't know why I would ever order from Hayneedle again. The only highlight is that all the customer service reps are very nice and courteous. It is outside their control but nonetheless will get yelled at by frustrating customers. I feel bad for them.
Beware if you place an order and attempt to cancel it, it will not happen. Also note, much of what they sell will be delayed, I have one item delayed over a month and they still can't seem to cancel it. There is a reason this company has so many negative reviews all over the internet. Their customer service is non existent and snarky at best. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Note: they do not stock anything, they are only drop-shippers. This means that you place an order and they contact the manufacture and have the item ship to you. If you go to cancel they will claim that they contacted the manufacture to cancel the order however, the truth is they do not do this and it is likely that you will be charged for and have the item ship anyway. They hope you will keep it and not want to bother fighting them for your money back.
Ordered an item. They emailed me 4 days later to let me know that the order was cancelled. Called them and solved the billing issue but then they let me know that they could not ship to the address. I missed my deadline but I guess it's my fault, I should have ordered from AMAZON.com. I did and the item is on its way.
This company should simply be called "China" instead of its current name . I have ordered 4 times from this company and have had defects - missing parts on 3 of my 4 orders . Nobody wants to take the blame and wants to negotiate when there is an issue .I would suggest to them to not sell the garbage from the companies they buy products from and do more research on selling good quality products .
I purchased in hayneedle for an offer in Amex (30$ for 150$ purchase). I puchased on 5/19 and offer ended on 5/21. To avoid paying for offere Hayneedle split to payment on purpose and posted on different dates (5/19,5/20 & 5/22). Since it is not a single payment post (even though purchased in one order), Amex/Hayneedle declined to return 30$ offer amount.

I ordered a patio set and as soon as I pushed the button, I decided on white glove delivery. I called customer service to ask if I could add this on and girl said I could add that the day of delivery when they call me on the way. That makes absolutely no sense. How could they have the time if they didn't know beforehand and how would I be charged? I gave up on that. I checked the tracking as soon as it shipped for my delivery day and window. 2 hours into my window, I checked tracking and it just said "picked up". Not even in transit or out for delivery?!? I called customer service and they said I was supposed to have called the transit system to schedule an appointment. What? Nowhere did I see that and if thats the case, how could they give me a delivery time and window in the first place? Someone called me later and scheduled a delivery for the next day (I took off 1/2 day of work). Next day comes, no delivery- only a call (courtesy) from the ground transportation crew that my patio set is not there for pick up. OMG! I had no call from Hayneedle or the initial transportation system who scheduled me for delivery of furniture that was not there... Eventually I got the set. Delivery guy was nice, however he had a lit cigarette in his mouth with about 1/2 inch of ash on it waiting to drop on my furniture as he unwrapped it. I was promised white glove due to all the problems. My set is sitting in multiple pieces on my patio because white glove does not include putting anything together that takes more than 15 minutes I have since learned. Terrible, unprofessional, inaccurate, waste of time...
I ordered a crib and dresser and called a week later to see where it was and i was informed that my order was cancelled... even though they took the money out of my account. The customer service rep tells me they will give me a new confirmation number HOPEFULLY and charge my card AGAIN before shipping it to me. I will NEVER order anything from this company again. NOT worth it.

If we are unable to verify a customer's information the order is automatically cancelled. There was only an authorization but on your credit card and this will drop off within a few days..
