I purchased a kids ride on SUV for my childrens birthday. I have had nothing but issues with the piece of junk and yet Hayneedle refuses to return or exchange the $300 product 50 days after purchase. I have had the manufacturer even send a replacement tire due to an issue I thought might help fix the charging problem, but it made no difference. Being a nice guy trying to do my due diligence instead of just returning the product is now screwing me over. Hayneedle.com sucks and I hope this piece of $#*! company goes out of business
This company is a disaster. I placed an order for two sets of patio furniture which I was very excited about. A couple days later, I went back to my confirmation email to check the order status page. I was completely shocked to find on the order status page that apparently my ship status was "cancelled." I never received any communication letting me know that my order was cancelled. And my card was charged. When speaking with a customer service rep (nice guy, couldn't take it out on him because it's not his fault that the company is a mess), I was told that the order was cancelled "for my protection." Supposedly my order did not pass an internal review process because my shipping and billing address were different. I'M MOVING, hence the need for buying new furniture. My billing address is my current address, and the furniture was set to be delivered to my new apartment. Now the two products that I previously purchased are out of stock, and I'm out of patio furniture. Thanks for completely wasting my time, Hayneedle. I read numerous similar reviews and complaints online. I will be sure to warn others to stay away from this site.
Ordered time sensitive product that had differing billing and shipping addresses. They canceled order due to the different addresses ( ever heard of a gift?). I immediately called and was told by rep that order would be resubmitted and I would receive product on time. I called next day to confirm shipment ( never got another confirm or shipping notice). I was told that the order had never been resubmitted and there was no way they could address the situation. It cost me $175 in shipping charges on another site to get the product in time. Hay needle sent email stating that it was a pleasure to serve me and glad I got product on another site! Seriously?
We ordered patio furniture from Hayneedle on May 6 and still have not received it. The delivery date was pushed back twice. We finally got an email notice to schedule a delivery date, which involves advanced reservation of the freight elevator. The delivery service, Ceva Home Delivery, never showed up. Ceva Home Delivery does not answer the phone nor respond to emails. We waited all morning for them to show up. When we called Hayneedle we were told not to pay attention to the email and to wait for a phone call. We waited all morning for them to show up. The customer service at Hayneedle has been terrible. Our credit card was charged about 2 weeks ago for the furniture which we don't have yet. Ceva Home Delivery has a rating of 1 1/2 stars on Yelp. Why does Hayneedle use a delivery company that has 1 1/2 stars? Horrible buying experience, I don't recommend Hayneedle AT ALL.
Even if you want to exchange and make additional purchases, you pay return shipping on the item that did not fit. This is short sighted business practice.
This was one of the worst experiences ever. I'm very disappointed. The order took FOREVER, I've had to deal with multiple charges against my card and several holds. Frankly, I've ended up with overdrafts, missed work waiting for shipping, and have been prevented from other tasks and purchases as a result. It really turned my life into a private hell for two months monetarily. Your HR and accounting needs a complete overhaul. The face of this store is appealing but unfortunately the experience behind the product was terrible. They attempted to give us 20% off to restart the service and purchase but that ended up in complete failure as well. NOT HAPPY.
Wife ordered an umbrella. Failed to come with all the parts. The parts that came are not well made and are crap. Now have to try to send all the pieces back. Waste of time and money. Buy elsewhere. Would give them zero or minus stars
We ordered a Cabinet bed from Hayneedle. We waited and waited and finally got notice that the bed had shipped... we had paid for one-glove service to have the bed set up in our house. We watched and waited... but it appeared like the bed never shipped. My husband called once and was met with a really crabby customer service person who informed him that the bed had shipped and the "shipping company will call you for delivery." Three days later he called back... this time the customer service person actually looked into the order. Yes, the shipping service did go to pick up the bed... but the bed had never been shipped from Hayneedle because they didn't have it available. What? We paid for the bed, was assured it had shipped (and we actually received a tracking number)... but there was no bed so they "cancelled" the order. But they still wanted us to pay for the white glove service, because the shippers did show up to pick up the bed. Now I look on the site and it tells me that we "returned" the product. Nope, never had it to return.
Some of their products are trash but if you stick to the reviews you can usually avoid bad items and actually land some really good deals. One of the bright spots of Hayneedle is their eye-catching website, which begs you to turn the page and keep shopping. Hayneedle is pure fun, good on you!
However, this immersion begins to fade a little when you make the 888 call to their customer support, which feels more like a group of people who can only see what you see. Each interaction yields inconsistent results which begs the question of standardization within the company. Their actual ability to modify orders is surprisingly limited. Level 1 and level 2 representatives are unable to change anything or combine orders placed within minutes of each other. "Made a mistake? Cancel the whole thing and try again" is the approach here.
We have not tried to return an item before, fortunately we haven't needed to.
I purchased a product in June 2017. Within 34 days from the receipt, paint started chipping off at random. Contacted customer service who told me that their return/exchange policy is 30 days. Now I have an item over $100 that looks like crap. I'll stick with retailers like Kohls, who after one year allowed me to exchange a Kitchenaid mixer even up due to a failing motor.
Accidentally ordered a wrong item. Confirmation e-mail came shortly after the order within minutes. It had been paid immediately. When I read the confirmation I realized it was a wrong item. Called customer service immediately. She said she can not do anything. Sent and email. She said it's been shipped already, yet 24 hours later the email came from the shipping department that it just had been shipped. What is the customer service doing in 23 hours and 30 minutes. NOTING! THEY CAN NOT CORRECT. They need to get a job picking strawberries instead. Never again! Stay the... away.
I wish I had read the reviews but I was moving fast. Candy bar cake was suppose to get to my daughter for her birthday-- with extra shipping costs for TODAY. They messed it up and it will deliver tomorrow which will do me no good. Awful Awful Awful. Not sure what they don't understand about TWO day delivery. Move away from the website now... quickly

I sure wish I would have seen these reviews before ordering. Everything these 1 star reviews say are exactly the issues I had. Jumping through hoops, inordinate amount of onus placed on the customer, so many conflicting emails and way too much time on hold and reaching customer service. The people in customer service who answer the phone are on a whole pretty good, however there are only certain things they have privy to view on their screens which means you will be transferred to the supervisor Cynthia Yates and that's where the nightmare begins. Way too many issues to go into but please take these reviews to heart.
I found the item I was looking for at Hayneedle at a significantly lower price than anywhere else I found. I had never heard of Hayneedle so in researching the company I was brought to this site. I was a bit concerned with all the negative reviews and also noticed that Hayneedle seemed to only respond to positive reviews and not acknowledge the negative ones. Despite this I decided to order said item by telephone. The gentleman was courteous and helpful. The item arrived on time and in good condition. The financial transaction was seamless. The only advice I would give this company is to respond to some of the negative reviews such as the ones here and not just the positive ones. That almost kept me from buying from them. I called Hayneedle within 8 minutes of placing my order. I wanted to change the delivery address. I was told there was nothing they could do it was already processed. I never had an issue like this before with any company on or off line. I spoke to three or four people each one was inconsistent from the other. What they did do it so they said was to send an email to the manufacturer where distribution is asking to cancel shipping. I asked to be copied that email. It didn't happen. Ok, so less than twelve hours of placing my order I received an email stating the order has SHIPPED! Not acceptable. I followed up with a phone call asked for a supervisor and was on hold for fourteen minutes. This supervisor was condescending, belittling and just unprofessional overall. He said all the could do was attempt to contact the manufacturer. They would offer to pay half of a reshipping fee. This was after I asked to be compensated for my troubles. He had the nerve to ask what troubles and that the conditions and term were listed on their site. Have any you gone straight to the terms once entering a site? I doubt it. But, if you have good for you. If not, I'd advise this to be the first thing you do going forward. Well, this is my story and I'm sticking to it. Never will I shop with them again. Resellers... Shame on them!

I had ordered $1400 worth of outdoor furniture on Memorial Day and was still waiting for it on June 30th (more than two weeks later than the estimated deliver date at the time of purchase). I received half of the patio furniture on July 1. Then I spend about 2 hours online and then on the phone between Hayneedle, Associated Global Systems (AGS, the distributor), and the local delivery company trying to track down the other half of the shipment. Hayneedle and AGS said the local delivery company had the other half of the shipment. The local delivery company said they had nothing more for delivery to our home address. It is Saturday, and I have been told that I must wait until Monday to hear back from the local delivery company (who says they don't have it). The AGS staff was particularly reluctant to help and kept telling me the local delivery company was "Closed" (even though they were delivering and I was able to reach them on the phone multiple times). In addition to this frustration, I will have to take more time off work so that I can be home to sign for this second shipment. The initial delay in the delivery from Hayneedle, the hassle to try to track down this package between AGS and the local delivery company, and the multiple days I had to take time away from work to receive my purchased items was ridiculous. I will not be ordering from Hayneedle again.

I have been waiting for a refund since May 10th, it's July 1st! First of all, what company sends a check to refund your money. Not Amazon, Not Overstock. I paid with PayPal. I have call them so many times and the keep assuring me, "the check is in the mail." I WILL NEVER ORDER FOR THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I WOULD RATHER PAY MORE THAN EVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN.

I purchased $1,200 in patio furniture and never received it (three times). I was assured each time that the problems had been resolved and three times they cancelled my order without any notification. I called multiple times, was assured the order had been released and that I would receive it within a few days only to find out, when I never received my product, that it had been cancelled. The level of customer service is awful and I will never order from them again.

Finding that an order that was placed is out of stock is frustrating enough but when additional complications are added to it the experience becomes even more difficult. We are currently working with our supplier to find out when this bed is available and will do all we can to insure you are very well compensated on this new order for the inconveniences. As the bed was not delivered, the order in full (including shipping charges) would be credited back to your account. If you find that there are outstanding balances of which you have not be refunded or credited, please to let us know so we can look into this further as well as it is not our policy to hold onto these funds. Please note that "returned" is the wording used for the refund process and we fully understand that there was nothing to return. As the order was given tracking in error, the only option at that point was to label the refund as "return" in order to start the credit process.
