Wayfair, hands down the worst company to deal with for large, heavy purchases. I bought a bathroom vanity weighing 500 lbs. They delivered it to my first floor — and that was it. No "white glove" service, no help getting it to the second floor where it needed to be. What are customers supposed to do, carry a 500 lb. vanity themselves? It's unreal that they sell products this heavy and don't offer any option for in-home placement. Do yourself a favour and deal with a local company that can deliver and place your items where you need them.
Items that can be bought online from one or more china websites are sold for double to triple pricing. Ie Cracked globe lighting outdoor solar. Can buy 3 for $36 Can. Wayfair, using the identical china ad and description charges $37 for one. Plus shipping which is free on the china website. And no there is not a problem with deliver and service with these websites... Just one example..

This shed did not even last 4 months and the roof collapsed. We paid to have it assembled and placed it on proper decking. Wayfair wants us to now take it apart and put it in a box and mail it back. There is not enough boxes for this twisted metal wreck.
For the most part, I haven't had many issues with orders from Wayfair, however one has to be extremely diligent and in checking prices constantly as they can change daily and based on your browsing habits. I recently ordered a dresser that was on for Black Friday sales on November 20th, 2024 and saw that the price went down again literally one day later so I promptly called to ask about a price adjustment. Apparently it's not their policy to offer price protection (I do understand one see this if outside of say 2 weeks or more) or simply put, will NOT offer any adjustment. The product hadn't been out for delivery yet and out of principle, I asked them to just cancel my order and they proceeded to charge a return/deliver fee of around $90. The difference was only around $60 and if a company like Wayfair isn't willing to stand behind their products and services, then they've just lost a customer for life! I was offered a shameful 10% off but anyone could get that by simply signing up. I would've gladly accepted a credit of the price difference for future purchases! My advice is to look elsewhere as Wayfair isn't exactly the cheapest out there, but more importantly, if you did buy something and saw that the price went down by $60 or so, how would you feel? Would NOT recommend a company like this at all especially now when people are trying to make ends meet and save money however they can. Let's be clear, it's not that Wayfair has a policy of not offering pricing protection, it's that they won't do it.
I bought 4 bowls from wayfair and when I received them, two were broken. The packaging had no ´fragile´ label affixed to it and the box looked roughed up. I took picture. When I went through the online return process, there was no option available to select ´broken items´ so I added a comment to indicate that the items were received broken. Wayfair didn't refund the shipping costs. I find this unfair since the items arrived damage in the first place. Despite reading their return policy, I feel cheated.
Too bad I couldn't start with - ZERO STAR - the system automatically start with one!

Save yourself a lot of trouble. You can't depend on them for delivery or setup. They use FedEx, so it's not their problem when they are 2 weeks late. They use Angi for furniture assembly, so when they cancel 3xs, it's not their problem. Regarding quality, it's all from China, guaranteed to fall apart in 6 months. Call customer service for support or a return, they want to charge you for a return, for example, 75.00 to return a sofa. STAY AWAY FROM WAYFAIR. Learn from my mistake.
We bought two power operated chairs from WAYFAIR, on Feb. 28,2024. Received them around March 3-4,2024. They worked great for 5 mos. First my husbands chair stopped working it is froze in the upright position, two weeks later my chair is stuck in the downward position. The motors do not work. We are 87, and 85(me) not very internet savvy. Thank goodness we bought the complete 5/yr warranty. Phoned Wayfair, they do not warrant anything after 30 days. Common sense--who would think after 5 mos. They would stop. I have to say C/S was very kind and helpful, but could not do anything else. Wayfair sold the warranty first to SquareTrade.com than to Allstate.com. Their C/S has been very helpful, after much emailing, calling, uploading documents we got a date a repair tech would be out Aug 26,2024 at 11:30, am, He never showed so I phoned the warranty co again, spoke with a supervisor and she tried to phone him, he did not answer for her either. She said he probably would not be coming after all. This is a health issue for me, I have heart problems and need to elevate my legs. Cannot do that now and have been in a lot of pain due to the swelling of the legs, feet, body. I filed with the B&B, and am thinking of contacting small claims court. We have purchased two chairs before and so far had no trouble I do not have the strength to check out retail in person, I rely on AMAZON a lot, (they are unbeatable.) I am so frustrated with Wayfair, I AM WARNING OTHERS DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT IS ELECTRONIC. They sell inferior products and their is no backup plan.
Ordered 2 items wayfair quick to take the money but don't let you cancel order when it never shows up ….first item i'm told they didn't have but still took money 2 weeks prior second item hasn't even shipped in over two weeks yet they refuse to cancel and refund … they are rip offs and sell stuff that they don't even have and it's always oh so sorry …
What a joke. Ordered an item. They won't ship. Every day they push back the estimated arrival date. I figured out what is going on. It's an illegal bait and switch. Advertise a price, suckered you in to buy it, then not ship and try to trick you into reordering at the higher price
Ordered a shower door ($900.00+) on March 13, was told delivery would be March 16-18. Contacted them on delivery date, said it would be two more weeks. Now April 4, no door. Contacted them and was told it was never shipped. Now have to wait 3-5 or 10 buisness days. I want money back.
I received an obnoxious amount of emails regarding some vinyl flooring i had previously looked at now being on promotion. I took a look and it sure was reg 5.49sqft on for 1.50 sqft so obviously i ordered it... 500sqft to be exact. I ordered Feb 9 2024 delivery dates changed from original purchase (march 1 or 2 i believe) to march 9-27 but was still reasonable. I started tearing up my old flooring march 3 or 4th in preparation. I received an email that my order was lost in transit and to call within 48hrs to sort out a solution... ok so i called and spoke to a customer service agent and my item was reordered with later delivery date obviously. I now received an email that the order is canceled... i called and was told due to a pricing discrepancy ( they sold ot too cheap) neither order was ever actually placed and was never even shipped! Not only was i lied to but im now stuck with plywood floors and no flooring. Im so disappointed with wayfair and will not ever purchase from them again and i advise you not to unless your ready to be let down.
Purchased 3 beds from here and they all broke within a year. Bed legs snapped off which caused the side rails to break. Kids beds suffered broken legs and mattress support slats snapped. Recieved a recall notice last month for being unsafe. Too late, they are already in the garbage. If the dollar store made furniture, it would be this quality. Will NEVER purchase from Wayfair again
My order was cancelled without my knowledge. After waiting for 2 weeks and not receiving a single item in the order, I decided to check my account and guess what all items cancelled and no one bothered to inform me not even through email.
I also bought a cover for a sofa May of last year. Up till today the item has not been delivered and to make matters worse I moved into another province called customer service to update my address. About 4 months or so after the call to change address I checked on my account and the item had been shipped to the old address. Mayfair said its too late they can't change address FedEx has to; yet the delivery date on my account keeps being pushed back. Their customer service is something else - I was politely told to F O

I would call Wayfair the "Website harrassment expert". They bombarded you with unwanted emails. They called me to upgrade to "Wayfair Professional". Too pushy, too annoying. And even after I unscubscribed, they kept sending me emails. They stopped when I threatened to write a bad review.
Not cheap or even affordable.

After waiting several weeks for a parcel for my granddaughter for Christmas I received a notification on my phone and on my email that I had received the parcel I immediately replied to them that I did not receive the parcel I asked them where they delivered it they said my side door I do not have a side door I do not know where they delivered it but it never came to my house I have spent three weeks trying to contact Wayfair to ask where my parcel is and I've yet to hear from anyone I am so disappointed in Wayfair that I will never use them again.

I ordered a Christmas gift November 8th 2023 to make certain I got it for Christmas. Three weeks later, I still didn't receive it. After a few emails, I called them and was told that they would open a ticket. I then got an e-mail that it would take 10 days for them to investigate. I called again for an update and the status had not changed from the start. They said they didn't have an update. I then got an e-mail informing me that my order got cancelled without even telling me why. I had to called again and they said they were unsuccessful in contacting the provider. I told them it was still available online. The rep checked and said it was Now in stock, so I ordered again on the phone. I was assured it would be delivered the following week. It's past a week and my order is still "in process". I called again and now have to go through the same steps... open a tickets, etc. I'm now stuck with no gift for Christmas.
I am completely and utterly shocked at the way Wayfair does "business".if you can even call it that.
We ordered the Tondreau 6 piece couch for a total of $2100 on November 20,2023. On the site, there was NO mention of back order for the item, or that the item was out of stock. After the purchase, they stated the couch could be delivered on Dec 11,2023. That was absolutely perfect as we ended up selling our couch a few days later. We have family coming for the holidays and we were excited for the new couch.
In the days leading up to it, my wife reached out to their customer service as the couch still said it was not shipped. After talking to multiple customer service agents, no one knew anything, nor had an update and they stated it would be coming on Dec 11, as per their website. After a few more tries, we finally reached someone that said that the couch WAS ON BACKORDER and would be coming sometime around the middle to the end of January. When asked how come it never said it was back ordered or if there was something else that we could do, they simply stated "well you didn't cancel it so you still want it and there's nothing we can do". My apologies actually, they did offer a 10% discount for our next purchase. At this point I'd rather build a couch myself from scrap items I find in the city than go through wayfair again.
Not a care in the world for customers nor customer service. Their fix is a 10% discount and a see you later. After reading other reviews, I genuinely don't know how they're still in business as most people are unhappy with their orders or in dealing with them.
First time I've ever written a review but this is ridiculous.
Wayfair has cancelled our hot tub order 3 times due to "processing issue". After the first cancellation I was told by wayfair rep "everyone is getting a cancellation email and no-one is getting the hot tub" even though the hot tub was available and in stock according to the website. So we reordered. Received a 2nd successful cancellation email even though we did not cancel the order. When i called customer service this time I'm told its a pricing error. Next day product back in stock. When I called customer service this time, Reordered for the 3rd time. This time wayfair held onto our money for 3 weeks only to cancel the order again today. The product price is also up 800%. What a terrible way to do business. We will no longer purchase ANYTHING from Wayfair.
Wayfair never had an intentions of filling the order at the lower posted price. So instead they hang on to customers money for weeks knowing full well the order would not be fulfilled. Sadly, after researching multiple reviews of this company, it's no surprise.
Totally misleading listing that resulted in an ordering wrong product. Horrible return policy and customer service is pathetic. 1st time ordering from this garbage of a site and will NEVER ever look at them again. Too many options out there to deal with this pathetic excuse of a company.
