If you value your hard earned money as much as I do, don't spend it here. Furniture not top quality, additional warranties a joke and never exchange or replace with like material, always something cheaper. Haverty's use to be top quality furniture, customer service, warranties. But, everything has changed and it is not for the same. Very disappointed.
Atlanta-based Haverty Furniture Companies Inc. (NYSE: HVT) announced Wednesday that it sold three properties in Texas, Florida and Virginia for a total of $70 million. The furniture company says the proceeds of the sale, which was completed May 18, will be used to strengthen liquidity and support corporate initiatives.
Suntrust Equity Funding, LLC, a subsidiary of Truist Financial Corporation purchased the three facilities and will lease them back to Havertys through a 15-year operating lease agreement with four renewal options of five years each.
Havertys is selling repaired and refurbished used furniture as new to their customers. Havertys is dying slowly while the owners are taking out their stocks. The good old boys club should retire since they are sinking the Havertys brand into oblivion. Havertys is following the same future of failing companies not knowing how to compete with other furniture companies. Low quality overpriced furniture doesn't sell anymore. Haverty corporate doesn't keep up with the trends and has the same boring c r a p for years made in China at premium prices..
I PAID for a electric leather sofa and a electric leather loveseat and electric leather recliner (Wrangler) and extra insurance and warranty, the next day after it came and was set up and working fine, the love seat and sofa stopped working. They would not look or repair or replace and asked me to leave or the POLICE would be called... Havertys furniture in huntsville alabama... rip off after rip off
I bought the bedroom set from February 2021, i got just the bed on June, the bed I like it and it's so good, anthony he is a best seller, but the big problem it's the delivery, and i have not received my other purchase, now almost 6 months, and I don't know what should i to do, I return the bed and cancel the other? Or still waiting? I will never buy anything from havertys.
We purchased three tables and a sofa about a month ago. The sofa is back ordered until the end of May. When the tables arrived, one was wrapped but the other two were not. One of them is chipped. When we called, they made an appointment for someone to come out almost a month later. The day arrived and we were called and put off until April 21. When a decent company sends out damaged goods, they replace the item instead of putting a customer off for 2 months. We will cancel the sofa since it has so many electrical parts; and obviously if they go out, there will be no help from the service department. All of our furniture is from Havertys. The staff in Mesquite is wonderful, what a shame they don't have a decent company backing them. We will now shop elsewhere for our furniture.
The sales person sold us mattress that did not belong on an adjustable frame. We bought all of the warranties and nothing was covered. All of the furniture is complete garbage. Wood surfaces have all peeled off.
Associates at the store will lie just to push a sale. Our kitchen table and chairs are apparently going to be delivered at different times. Part of it was supposed to be delivered today between noon-3:00, after leaving work early they called at 3:00 to let us know it will be around 5:30.
We were new to the area of Florida. So we bought all new furniture from Havertys
Ordered a couch and 2 chairs in a custom fabric. We placed order in December. Said 12 weeks. Now they say end of April maybe middle of May. We will never order from them again
Nothing but LIES from this company. Gave us 4 delivery dates after waiting 3 months. All LIES. Told furniture was being crated for shipping, next thing willl be ready in June! Cxl order and requested credit for deposit. Three LIES again re: date of credit. Not seen yet or in process, still have my money. Company is not reputable. Would NEVER do business with them again.
My 97 year old mom needed a power recliner to elevate her legs due to health reasons. When the chair we ordered was defective, The Top Drawer Delivery folks very compassionately were able to move her repair date up to minimize her time without the chair. She is in assisted living and while businesses could go in to help, family was not allowed. Such a frustrating time for everyone! Very grateful for their help. Sales dept. was helpful, too.
I would only buy from Rudy at Havertys in Lubbock... he is honest and works tirelessly to make sure you are taken care of! We bought a leather sofa and chair and the leather is of great quality!
On October 31,2019 I bought a Reagan Parsons Chair with the Guardsman Gold plan. It cost me $562.77. I received the chair on January 15,2020. In June 2020, I noticed that the chair was broken (chair hardly used and not abused) and called Haverty's. Long story short, it is November 2020 and no replacement chair or refund in site. Every call or email that I made was met with "it is in process". AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
Havery has got to be the worst furniture shopping experience ever. They delivered broken patched up furthest looked like it came from a junkyard. Stay clear from Havertys unless you have plenty of time to demand your money back. Finally a called their corporate office in Atlanta and got a rull refund but no apology. Save yourself the trouble dont shop at Havertys.
I purchased two recliners same style and same color. Waited over 8 weeks for them ( which was fine I understood that when I purchased). When they were delivered one was the wrong color. Didn't except the wrong color chair. My experience with Customer Service has not been good. I have been the one to call them even thought they said they would call me back. Excuses waiting to hear back from warehouse and manufacture. Called Haverty's spoke with Asst Manager for store. She tells me new chair has been ordered-now another 8 weeks. I asked her to call manufacture to expedite order since it was manufacture fault. She said she would email them no promises! Haverty's is every helpful when you are buying but if there is a problem after they have your money-not helpful at all! Will never buy at Haverty's again and will tell friends and family not to go there!
Havertys sold us a reclining sectional that was previously repaired and possibly in another customers home before we received it. Our salesman told us they sometimes send out furniture that was previously returned and repaired if its still in sellable condition. The fact that we did not buy nor pay for used or floor sample furniture this company lied and took advantage by sending us furniture that was obviously used. It had food remains in between the reclining seats and drink stains in console. The frame was bent which is why it makes loud noise and doesn't recline according to their Havertys tech but they refuse to refund our money. Please avoid this business at all costs. They have the worst customer service and don't care that they cheat customers on limited retirement incomes. This is a company that had a good reputation in the past but after reading several reviews its obvious their wealth does not define their worth living off their past reputation. We lost $4500. I ordered 2 chairs to go with my Arden Ridge dining room set. When I picked them up I discovered I had to put them together. They had to be sanded and we had to use clamps to get them together. Who would have thought that chairs from Haverty's had to be put together or you could pay to have them put together.
This was one of the worst experiences. The furniture that I bought is horrible. The service is even more horrible. I would never shop here again

We purchased Beckley Entertainment Wall System from Havertys. The Entertainment Console that was shipped was defective - did not include the feet to be screwed on. Deep gouges and scratches in several areas.
A hole was missing to screw the feet into the console. Delivery men were going to transfer the feet from the Left Pier unit but there was no hole predrilled hole for the attachment. They told me there was a "pink ticket" on the console which meant this was already a "used and returned furniture item". I went straight to the store but other than writing it up on the computer they were no help. So far NO call from any manager or Customer Service representative to schedule a new replacement entertainment wall unit.
I will never buy anything from Haverty's again. Trust me when I say the CEO is 'WAY OVERCOMPENSATED" for the job he is doing with this company. *** - even Rooms-To-Go is better than this. I paid $2949. 97 for this unit. I still had other furniture on backorder.
Going back to store today and just canceling the entire order altogether. Havertys is CLEARLY Lacking Store and Quality Control Management.

We recently purchased our bedroom set at Havertys. The whole experience was the worst we ever had buying new furniture for our home. Our salesperson never let us know that part of the bed was not in stock for over a month. The nightstands and dresser all came damaged without the cords for usb and 1 nightstand had a different color back as if it was repaired before. Customer service was no help offering us money back to keep damaged items. The store manager offered a gift card for future purchase. We decided to cancel when the back ordered side rails came delivered damaged and found out that they dismantled store bed and delivered parts to us from floor model. We ended up getting our bedroom set at American Signature and received seamless delivery with our salesperson following up after our delivery. We'll be going back to American Signature for our living room and formal dining next. Great service from American Signature after the unexpected bad experience at Havertys. We'll never go back to Havertys.
Every piece of our dining room set came damaged again. Delivery men wanted to leave it in our home until we get another exchange. We didn't exchange it again and demanded a full refund. After being tricked once, one should learn from one's mistakes and avoid being tricked in the same way again.
Answer: After Checking Consumer reports and the complaints posted of Havertys low quality furniture and customer service problems we shopped for our furniture at different stores and glad we did. We found better styles, quality and pricing that met our budget.
Answer: The only Success Story we can share about Haverty's Furniture is Getting a FULL REFUND and taking my business elsewhere where they know the meaning of quality furniture and customer service. After calling their Corporate Offices in Atlanta we told them of the extensive damaged furniture we received 3 times. We demanded a refund and also called our credit card company. We refused all the furniture. We finally received a full refund. Save yourself the headache and buy furniture somewhere else.
