Pretty much, they suck. Royally. They do not care about their customers. Make sure you don't ever mistype your address because if the delivery driver goes to the wrong place only 1 mile away and they call and you apologize and give them the correct address and tell them you'll add to the tip for the inconvenience and thank them... still they'll be petty and just cancel your order without telling you this and block your number. I had to call customer service to find out that my order was cancelled and being refunded (But the company doesn't refund the drivers tip you input online so she got to keep that) and the refund for your order takes 5 days to come back to your bank account. I asked customer service where my order was taken and they said "It's in a trash can somewhere now." HOW WASTEFUL! That was a lot of food. Also, that was all the money I had to buy food tonight so I'm broke and hungry and HANGRY! Glad I get paid tomorrow but this was STRESSSFUL! Never again. Deleted the app!
I've ordered food delivery from GrubHub many times and it never fails that something will go wrong. My orders are always missing something, the delivery is late, or doesn't show up at all. My credit card has been charged doubled or not refunded when promised. The last straw for me was when my delivery driver showed up without wearing a mask. After reaching out to GrubHub customer service about this, I was completely blown off and never responded to.
This is unacceptable and I will be ordering elsewhere from here on out.
Do not support this business, it is beyond terrible and gives local restaurants a bad reputation.
My wife and I ordered grub hub tonight the food was great the driver on the other hand lacks customer service and just general tact by the title of my review, Claudia sucks. Well yeah Claudia sucks and not in a good way. I was a bit annoyed that the driver took so long to deliver my food because she apparently got lost in apartment but didn't say as much then when she left after I said that it took so long I was annoyed by this she then began texting my wife and was being very nasty and annoying about it and harassing her which is terrible terrible customer service. Instead of telling us that she got lost she began making up lies that she had to go back-and-forth between the restaurant and other places to deliver other food, now I know how doordash works I do not know exactly how grub hub works but the fact of the matter is we could see her on the map sitting in the same location for 15 minutes, so, why lie, not hard just admit the truth.
After 45 min past order delivery, I call restaurant only to find my food has been sitting and no driver on the way!
I then go pick it up and got home and couldn't eat it. It was soggy from sitting. I reached out to grub hub for refund and sent pic of soggy food. They gave me 11 credit against a 36 dollar order. Never again! Never!
First of all i would like to begin saying i have never had a problem until last night. My order was missing items then when i ate the food i was throwing up and having diareah all night and through this morning i still fell bad very disappointing
As I was walking up to the car to get my food from my driver, he made the comment of "oh you're tiny." I laughed it off because I'm a 5'1 female so yeah I am tiny, but the way he said it made my skin crawl, it was like he was making a very important observation. I reached for my food and he wouldn't give it to me, and he kept asking me personal questions to keep me by his car, like "oh you look like a nurse are you a nurse?" and "oh you must be a smart cookie." I kept trying to leave, and I'd never been in that situation before and I don't like saying "no" so I kept saying "I'm good" to try and get away. He said "you keep saying I'm good, and I'm good too so maybe we should do something about it." Then he said "let me take you out to coffee" and I finally said no and left, and could feel his eyes watching me walk away. I am filing a report with Grubhub and a police report, because that kind of behavior is unacceptable if you're going to deliver to a college campus. I'm also upset that I can't see the driver's name in my past orders, meaning I may not be able to file a police report since I can only remember his first name.
Grubhub is not a reliable company to place food orders from. They will always accept your order, debit your credit card and then constantly send you text message that your order is being delayed. End result... order never arrives. I do NOT recommend using this service. I can understand issue one time but this is like 3rd time it has happened. Lesson learned.
Grubhub used to be reasonable but now it's like a typical Corruprorate America "fee to death" mentality. $44 will cost you $65 with a strandard driver tip. Service fee plus delivery fee!? WTF?!
On Sept 10 2020 I placed an order to Grubhub Carl's Jr. Ventura never received my order and also charged for my order over $20.75. Reached out e mailed over and over to Grubhub and they refused to email me back. Never received my refund I never received an order number as well. Something fishy here but yet charged me.
After in order my meal it was delivered to the wrong address their solution was just to credit me back after sitting on hold for nearly a half an hour and they would not replace the order. Or find out which house it was delivered to you so we could possibly get the order. I would use Uber eats or other food delivery services never and I mean never use GrubHub!
Red Robin Order was missing milkshake, Burger was cold and soggy So they refunded me for the shake and burger after having to contact customer service twice. Now I still end up paying 14.00 for a side of broccoli and cold fries. I was warned about Grubhub but took a chance. Stupid me. What an aggravation on a Saturday afternoon.
So far 30 percent of the time I never get what I ordered. They always apologize however i could simply call the place and order the stuff myself. It seems like whoever actually orders the stuff can't read or simply doesn't care. Every time I order through them I'm constantly disappointed. Them when they screw up they give me a grubhub credit instead of refunding my money. The credit has a shelf life which exspires and also requires you to deal with them again. Honestly your better off just going to get the food yourself, or bare minimum you should just order your own stuff to avoid the incompetent people.
They don't care about you! Was waiting for hour and a half for my order. The driver told me it was the restaurant Grubhub told me it was the driver no one was telling me the truth. They cancel my order and that was it! They never offer anything to make it up to me! I am pregnant waiting for my lunch for an hour and a half. So I will never use their bad and expensive service anymore!
Delivery order never made it after an hour and a half wait. CSR stated they could not locate driver and only offered to refund my money. Simply refunding me is automatic and nothing was done to make this right.
Due to mix up in the system my food showed up on the wrong day. They were graceful enough to cancel and issue a refund. You have proved to me(and hopefully others reading this) that you resolve issues when they arise. It's easy to be nice when things are going according to plan, but how you handle problems sets the bar.
Today was my third order and I will go through you each time, guaranteed.
FYI Eight homeless people in North Dallas enjoyed the meals that were incorrectly sent.

Ordered from Taco Bell. Food took an hour and a half to get here. It was cold, the wrappers and bag was wet and soggy. Half of the order was adjusted because they were out of the items. They should contact you if this occurs. Half of my family didn't receive food because of this. We were still missing food that was not part of the adjustment. I chatted with customer service they adjusted the missing food, as they should have, apologized and basically said they have no control over the time it takes. Poor service, they didn't offer anything for the inconvenience. We still had to go out and get food. This was my first and last time using Grubhub

I understand the convenience of delivery, now more than ever, but they are terrible to small independent restaurants.
Grubhub receives your order, they then have their driver place the order using the drivers name
Grub Hub then authorizes the drivers Grub Hub Credit Card for purchase amount
Driver arrives to pick up order, the company credit card fails more than it works,
The driver tries multiple times to reach Grub Hub offices to have the card authorized for purchase amount
After several attempts, driver is told to cancel order and leaves.
The restaurant is left with unpaid order.
As a small business owner, we already work on a very small profit /loss margins.
After several attempts to contact Grub Hub, countless hours on hold, all for zero resolution.
Please reconsider using this service.
Grub Hub charges fees that aren't clearly stated. And when you contact them there reaponse is we can refund the delivery fee, well if the delivery fee is free how can you refund free. Its a bunch of taxes and fees they charge that the actual place your ordering food from doesn't even charge. They act like they are doing something for their customers but really all they are still doing is ####### they customers. I will never use there service again. I rather order directly from said food place and pick it up myself then be lied to and charged for whatever tax and fees they feel necessary to add onto your order to make more money. Granted yes I understand they are a business and need to make a profit, but when called out on said charges and act like they don't know what your talking about. Sketchy... other apps like this charge extra until your money clears then refunds the amount they were holding. I don't know but I personally will not be using Grub Hub again.
I placed a big order from one of my favorite resturants and the f**** delivery man never delivered it to my house, he never answered my mssgs or calls. Im pretty sure he kept it. I always order frm uber eats and have never ever had a problem. And i ended up ordering from grub hub cause they are not in uber eats. Atleast grub hub refunded me the money but i have to wait atleast 5 days. Im very upset
We ordered $183 worth of food and because the restaurant was out of the product our order was cancelled -no communication from grubhub. After calling them I found out why and called the restaurant to find a replacement choice. When I attempted to reorder found my account had been blocked for 24 hours. Called customer service, again, and they said it was company policy. Even talked to a "supervisor" who said it would have to go through financial and would take 24 hours until I could reorder. I ordered through Door Dash which was easy, smooth and hassle-free. It's been three days and grub hub still has not credited my $183. Worst experience ever and terrible company policies. Save the aggravation if you are going to use their service And call the restaurant first. I will NEVER use them again.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
