They never forget to charge you and sometimes they even charge you twice in the same month but hey who cares because when you order something don't plan on ever seeing your delivery. Not only do they cancel your order without saying anything to you but they also market is being delivered so you're running downstairs Beamer high-rise building to get your food that never arrived. Only to find out after you make a phone call would happen. Even their confused at customer service. It takes them a while to figure out that the restaurant didn't have what you wanted so they just cancel your order. Meanwhile you see the driver Driver is waiting at the restaurant and on his way with your food. That's what it shows so all that time you think the driver is on his way to deliver your food when really they canceled your order and nobody even bothers to give you a call or a text message. Thanks a lot GrubHub. Once again you suck total $#*!
After waiting 50 minutes for our food, I saw driver was close and went outside to wait. When no one came I checked the site which said it had been delivered 5 minutes ago. I chatted with Grubhub agent who defaulted to crediting my account. Hungry, I asked them to contact the driver to determine where he left it. Driver could only remember he left it outside. Since I had been standing outside I knew it wasn' Within a block of my house. Outcome no food... but I can order and wait another hour and take a chance on a better driver.
The app claimed my food was delivered at 4:54 on 10/18/2020, yet it's still not at my door 10 minutes later. Went to get a refund and the driver gets to keep the tip? Seriously? I wouldn't have tipped at all if I wasn't gonna get my food
We ordered a Canadian bacon pizza and a pepperoni sausage black olive and onion pizza. Got a onion pizza and a ham pizza instead. They would not replace our order nor refund us last time we will use them
The last three times I've ordered from Grubhub nothing has gone right! Not my order, missing key ingredients that make up my order and a lost order. When the food was missing essential ingredients they only wanted to give me $1.60 back of my $25 order! I had to call the restaurant itself to get my full refund! I am utterly disgusted with this app and will never use it again and also tell everyone NOT to use it!
The customer is obviously at the mercy of Grub Hub's ability to find a driver for your delivery. I made a large order for a local restaurant with a delivery time of 6:30 PM. Grub Hub was sorry but my order would be delayed (no reason given) and be delivered between 7:55 and 8:05 PM! That was totally unacceptable. I called Grub Hub's customer service to cancel my order. They sort of said it was a "scheduling" problem. I then called the restaurant directly, put in my order and picked it up, still sooner than 8:05. I am in the older category and try to protect myself from COVID-19 by using delivery. But I will not ever use Grub Hub again!
I've ordered from grubhub a lot and they always brought me the right things, but recently my orders are always missing something and its really annoying.
I can only fault myself this time. A few days ago I placed a $26 order and it arrives ice cold. Without question in my stupidity I ordered again tonight ($20) order and again, ice cold. I'm done with you guys!
I wrote a very clear note for the driver for directions to my condo. The driver did not speak English well. He was unable to read it. He delivered my food to the WRONG condo. I still have Not received my food. It has been over an hour now.
In person $36.20, via Grubhub $64.40. You be the judge. Order direct. The cost of the items is higher on Grubhub's site than in the actual restaurant. Tax is added on top of not only the merchandise, but on the 15% Grubhub service fee as well. Than the delivery fee and still asking for 20-30% driver tip. In numbers, I placed the same order over Grubhub as I went to the restaurant 4 blocks from my house. In person I paid $36.20 total, Grubhub charged me $64.40. Spoke to the owner. Grubhub increases the price list on the menu, charges the owner for 15% (in addition to the consumer's charge), and the restaurant is responsible for the credit card authorization fee. The restaurant and it's workers lose. They don't get a penny tip. They pay for rent, produce, gas, electric, wages to stay open.
Grubhub is great, but they are WAY too expensive. Using grubhub over uber eats, you will pay about 30%-40% or more going through grubhub over uber eats. Support uber eats if you want to save money. It's pretty ridiculous how much grubhub charges in fees and taxes ON TOP OF your bill to the restaurant, and THEN they still ask how much you want to pay the driver.
So, Grubhub can take your money and verify that they get paid, but apparently they can't verify your order I was missing multiple items, and when the driver got here, it was basically, sorry, I can't help you, call the restaurant or Grubhub. BTW, thanks for the tip, my words, not hers.
Horrible customer service and and do not keep menus up to date. Charged for an order that was canceled by the store during to incorrect menu. Stilled showed as a delivered order and charged. Store confirmed cancel and agent still tried to fight refund. Worst CS ever. Do not recommend. They need to do out of business. Regal movies did and had great customer service and had to close. Grub hub should too and has terrible customer service.
First and foremost customer service is overseas in Afghan or Indian countries. 2nd several calls to get my refund for an order I didn't recieve through Betoulis pizza in Philadelphia pa was fraud. An amount of $ 56.92 was charged both merchant and service was in agreement. Here the twist I went slam off the grid come find out city of brotherly love ain't your brother... lol cs reps got roosters crowing in background tapping hard aimlessly on fake keyboards. Real fukurrey
2 straight horrible experiences here. The first time the order was wrong and it was delivered 25 min late. Fine, maybe it was a fluke then the 2nd time, I waited for 2 hours and never received anything and when I reached out to see what was going on, I was just told it was canceled and thats it. Completely horrible
I sincerely think that is a clown company, real joke. Sending from one side of the city to the other. After trying this for 3 month this is the end of the line for me. Few cent to go to the customer but zero for the pick up. Doesn't even cover the gas, the reparations and the incredible time consuming of waiting. Can't make $ with a dollar tips. Don't think you can make a living out out that circus here in pueblo. I just think that in 2020 more procedure should be taken to redirect the order to the closest store.
I would give the zero stars if possible. I was using a discount code for my order and contacted customer chat because the code did not deduct the promised amount. He told me to place the order and he would issue a credit for the correct amount. After I placed the order, he told me to read the fine legal print that states the maximum discount is $10.00, which he failed to mention in discussion PRIOR to my placing the order. Which I would have reduced had he given me the correct information beforehand. I will NEVER use them again.
Shame on me for using this service multiple times and telling myself, "oh it's quarantine", "they are busy", "I have to be patient". I'm done. The last several times I've ordered, the order has been messed up or not completed at the restaurant, I was charged and the food order was never prepared so they just "credited" after waiting for over an hour and had to reorder from somewhere else. Customer service would not refund my money. THIS time, I ordered lunch early before rush... have now been waiting 1.5 hours for order and was told that the delivery person just got the delivery request and at the end of waiting it will have taken 2 hours to get here. I am officially deleting this app off my phone and leaving this review for you. I can see by the massive number of negative reviews that this won't be news to them.
Countless times I've ordered, and it was 1 hour to 2 hours late each time, because Drivers are allowed to see if there is a Tip.
When drivers are allowed to see a Tip, they do not deliver if there isn't a tip, or not enough of a tip.
They will not choose the order to deliver. What if it was a 20% tip, a normal good tip, and they don't take it, they only take 30% or 40% Tip orders? They shouldn't be able to see the Tip, at all. They shouldn't be able to cancel orders, to not not go to orders, unless they get fined, or get points on their records for cancelling.
I was a delivery driver for 4 pizza places for 6 years. I know how hard it is. I went through 3 cars, all 3 of them died completely from driving them over 35,000 miles per year just with deliveries. I know that tips are the only thing that I can get as my pay, because I only got $5.25 per hour as my wage. I made $950 per month if I was lucky, in Tips, Cash. I never looked at my bank account with direct deposit, because my checks were so low it didn't even matter. $150 per month?
I drove with pride, with my professionalism, my nice personality, my fast service that made my motto: Caution: Pizza May Scald.
I know what it's like to be screwed with a new system that's charging 5 people other people's orders, and the orders aren't even correct, incorrect addresses, and you're the only driver at 1:30 AM on a Saturday Morning.
I, NEVER, looked twice at an order whether it had a tip or not, but I did look twice and 20 times at what route I was going to take with my map, and Garmin GPS.
You, have no right! To be taking advantage of the system, Grubhub drivers.
That being said, I have had countless orders without the drink, with drivers that didn't even make a sound, cell phones in their face while driving, LOOKING AT YOU as if you're a piece of $#*!, trash all over their car, NO MASK ON, droany slow questions as to if thay's your order. Are you such and such.
Get with the program and drive your 15 deliveries, whether you get tipped or not, and you will receive greatly for your care.
I say, Grubhub drivers should never be able to see the tip amount.
I ordered food from a restaurant tonight and immediately realized that it defaulted to pickup. I thought it strange that a place I've had food delivered from multiple times wasn't offering delivery as an option, and I wasn't able to pick the food up, so I immediately went to cancel the order. I called the restaurant and told them not to make the food because, unlike Grubhub, I have tact. I then went into an online chat with Customer Service Rep Maria, who proceeded to tell me that I could not get the order refunded. I then had to bother the restaurant again because Maria insisted they had to issue the refund, not GH. The restaurant contacted the GH customer service and told them to refund it, all while I was on with Maria requesting that the food I was not able to get (which wasn't even being made) be refunded to me. In my job working in credit card processing, I have learned that if you charge for goods or services not rendered to the customer, you can get your right to process cards revoked by the company. Enough chargebacks with this reason, and you're done. They finally agreed to refund me, but they said it was a "one time courtesy." This is UNETHICAL and DISGUSTING business practice. If it can literally make it so you can no longer accept cards and essentially make it so you can no longer run your business because your sole way of receiving income is gone, it is not a "one time courtesy." This is absolutely unacceptable. This basically means that if I order McDonald's and on my way to get my nuggets, my car breaks down and the restaurant closes, I'm screwed, and Grubhub gets to keep my money for food I never got. Sick. Good looks, Grubhub.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.
Answer: Never Folks keep using them Until they began to see decline in sales, they will not change
Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
Answer: This can be expected with a bad company such as Grub Hub. CEO gets his Chub Hub off screwing customers.
Answer: It all starts at the top. Worst management, worst operational model, worst operational supervision, worst driver compensation.
GubHub offers food delivery from local restaurants.
