Due to being an Amazon prime member and the current promotion for free delivery with Grub Hub +, I decided to order. This was my first ever order, and consequently my last. I decided to order, and after ordering, my driver calls and informs me he has picked up my order, but there is a system issue. So none of the payments went through to the restaurants from Grub Hub. So he states that he paid for it and I have the option to cancel or pay him and he will cancel the Grub Hub credit card charge. I didn't want him being stuck, so I decided to pay him. I paid him cash and guess what, the charge was still on my account. After I called the restaurant, they confirmed this was a lie. I was so mad and felt like such an idiot. I have reported him to a Grub Hub supervisor who states a refund for my credit card has at least been processed now. I gave the drivers cell phone number too and hopefully he'll be dealt with and lose his job. The supervisor Eduardo was great and I have no complaints about him. Although I still have canceled my account, as this has left a bad taste in my mouth. From what I'm reading on here, apparently it's common practice for their drivers to do things like this to people. So sad…
I ordered food from McDonald's an only received part of it an my fish was over cooked. Grubhub gave me a refund and a $10 coupon that was only good for a few hours. I have this service service free for a year via Amazon but it's not free what would normally cost me about $15 cost me $27 + change. All the food has an up charge. I chatted with customer service for an extension on the coupon and they said NO! My order was received around 8pm and I went round and round with McDonald's for about 45 minutes. Restaurants start closing around here at about 9-10 pm. I used Grubhub because I have the flu and possibly Covid and wanted a filet o fish to eat. Lol
I made an order through GrubHub and I ordered it based on the time they said they could deliver it. BeAbout 10 minutes before delivery time came they said it would be another 45 minutes because the restaurant was still preparing it. I called the restaurant, and they said the food was done but that GrubHub had no drivers. I called GrubHub to cancel the order and they said they don't except cancellations. I am going to dispute this charge with my bank and will never use this service again as it is absolutely ridiculous. I was ripped of on my very first purchase with this joke of a service…
Grubhub does NOT live up to their guarantee. They sure do take you money out of your account in 2.5 seconds when placing an order but when you receive an inedible order & wrong at that, you have to WAIT 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS for the refund to go back in! They don't even send you a confirmation what so ever detailing the refund & amount! Poor business ethics and after I get my refund I will delete my account and make sure NEVER EVER TO USE Grubhub again and will spread the word EVERYWHERE.
I spoke to 4 different agents for help and they all were horrible. I ordered food at 3 and ETA was 530 because the driver was driving away from me and was over an hour away. They wouldn't help and would not get a closer driver for me. Grubhub is the absolute worst and I will never use them again
I did a review on Postmates some time ago, but I have also tried Grubhub and wanted to tell my experience as well. I personally like to go out to eat, but there are some days when you are too tired to make food and too lazy to go out, so this is a perfect time to use a food delivery app. Obviously, each experience is different, but unfortunately, my food came a bit late, so it was cold. My delivery man wasn't too kind, and quit honestly gave me lots of attitude. I gave them a 4 because I know not all deliveries go like this, and I think it's a great idea.
First and last time I'm going to use Grubhub. Food was over an hour and a half late and obviously cold. Not restaurants fault. Order was sent to two different drivers. Thankfully the service is "free" with Amazon so it wasn't a total loss. Feel bad for the drivers as this as it stands, isn't a company that knows how to deliver food…
I had a $10 that cost me $19 after fees and minimums ($25 after a non-insulting tip for the driver). The driver delivered my order to a treatment facility several hundred yards from my home. I reached out to support to get the order replaced and I was told that because the store completely botched an order (that they did not want photos of on their chat or to an email) like 2 months ago, and they refunded that, that my account was now "suspicious." When they said they can't refund OR replace the order, I asked them directly if they robbed me. I was told to contact my bank "if [I] feel the need to dispute it as [I] claim the order was not received."
I understand that the agent on the chat makes terrible salary and has to deal with a lot of upset people of varying degrees. I get that the business model is to rob and steal from literally every possible place, but dang. This was a bit much for me. It's only $20 but how many times a day do they do this globally?!

Tonight was my first experience using GrubHub and I couldn't be more pleased. I scheduled a delivery to my mother who is in a retirement home. Not only did my driver (Calvin) text me upon delivery, he actually followed up immediately with a phone call when I had a question about the exact location of the delivery. Sorry Doordash, you just lost a customer.
A couple of years ago, my GrubHub orders were great - on time, food delivered hot, and delivery with a general smile. Now, delivery times are inaccurate and food arrives with questionable quality. When you ask to resolve it, you'll receive a coupon for 15% of $55! No refund for cold foods even though they continue to extend your delivery times. Does not appear the corporate office cares. I guess they have so many customers, they do not care if you discontinue use. A couple of years ago, it was a very different experience with GrubHub, a more efficient experience. Don't waste your time and money with this new-age GrubHub service. I guarantee you will soon regret giving them your personal information and business!

One driver was literally doing a drug deal during my delivery and the drivers are ALWAYS late. Never sympathetic and are very rude. I've ordered from GrubHub very frequently and have only have 1 driver that was up to standards and went by GrubHub policy. I've asked to cancel my account and membership many times and they keep throwing coupons at me, they even offered my membership for free which I accepted but service was worse rather than better. By far the worst food delivery company I've experienced besides Doordash. Hopefully UberEats will be better!
Tried twice now, both times food was never delivered, money had to be refunded. Only this time, my husband and I both have Covid and can't get out to get for ourselves! Grubhub you had a good idea, too bad you literally couldn't deliver!
I tried Grubhub about 1 year ago and I had a ticket which was for a large family event. My ticket was over $300 and the food just never showed up. They charged me and eventually refunded my money which showed up back in my account 11 days later!
I was so frustrated with their terrible service that I deleted the app.
Fast forward to tonight, I forgot that I deleted their app and a family member wanted to use Grub hub even though I told them of my terrible experience.
We ordered food, they said it was on the way but no one showed AGAIN!
Now I'm out the $120 for tonight until they decide to refund my money.

All you need to do is compare grubhubs price of each menu item to the actual stores menu. Each item is marked up 4 to 5 dollars more than the restaurant menu. Grubhub says you're "saving 10 dollars for each pick up order" but you're really not. If you order 4 items you're paying 20 dollars more than the store would have charged you so there goes your 10 dollar "savings" and you just lost 10 dollars more... on top of the 10 dollar a month fee you pay for their services. Just compare the two menus. It's shocking.
I will never be ordering from Grubhub again. The food is more expensive than in the restaurant, they charge a service fee and this time, there was food missing! And I don't mean a complete item missing, I mean SOME onion rings and SOME other items, and one item obviously opened and not rewrapped. Disgusting.
I have used this service out of pure necessity many times. My food has been said to be delivered and it wasn't. Once a driver became angry with me when he said it was delivered I told him no it wasn't so he brought back the bag and said a dog must've gotten it, he slammed it on my porch and was hateful and rude and my son and I were left with no food. I could understand this happening once or even twice but to happen so many times I can't count?! I called a couple times to complain and the lady was talking and I heard a rooster in the background! Am I in the twilight zone? And they don't refund your $ immediately which is VERY INCONVENIENT! I'm poor! It has made me so mad I've had seizures! They don't care! They won't compensate either. They say they'll give you $5 off your next order but who wants to go through that again? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. They can't even transfer a call to refund department! What can they do right? DOOR DASH IS BEST! I'm a disabled mom of an autistic child so this is EXTREMELY WRONG! SHAME ON YOU GRUBHUB!
Don't use this app! So I had the same experience as a lot of these people, food arriving cold and they don't refund the money. And then I don't know what came over me but I decided to try them again and they had blocked my account saying I abused their terms of service! Basically retaliation for complaining. I had a gift card loaded into my account and cannot get a refund now. I sent a complaint to the federal trade commission. I wouldn't recommend ever using them. Horrible company!
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
