Placed an order for Red Robin and 2 and a half hours later the App said it was delivered and also said it was refunded! Never got any food...wtf
I am very disappointed with the service. I gave a seven dollar tip, just to have my food delivered to the wrong address. They sent a picture showing that my food was sitting on someone else porch. I am highly pissed. If they rung the doorbell they could have learned that they had the wrong address.
30 % tip and my food came 1.34 hrs later! McDonald's is only 3.8 miles from me! Food was cold, drink was hot, ice melted. First driver who accepted the order came from 10 miles away and was driving towards McDonald's and ya he made a stop or two and I got notice he was on his way to pick up my food and then he bailed, 20 mins later. Second driver accepted the delivery and within 20 mins I finally had my food. And McDonald's screwed up my order! Never NEVER ever will I use this service again. Basically it cost me 28$ for 4 burgers (which weren't even the type of burgers I ordered)no fries a warm soda. And a 30% tip was offered! That was a 7.50$ Tip. For a 4 mile order. Got a free 10$ promo but? That order would have been $38 wo promo. Nope nope never again. First time last time ordering with Grubhub!
Laundry list of issues with GrubHub, but this was the last straw.
Tried placing an order, only to be told at checkout that the restaurant isn't accepting orders. Ordered from a second location: driver assigned > order delayed > order canceled by GrubHub. Ordered from a completely different restaurant and got a call from them asking about substitutions because they were out of some things. No biggie, but then no driver assigned and order was delayed. This time I canceled.
With this experience added to all the other headaches I've had from GrubHub, I can only hope that it means they're the worst of these services. And if that's so, I pray that they go out of business and drivers find better companies to deliver for.
I order from a restaurant 5 minutes from my house. I do this many times because that way I get hot food. The driver went to another part of SF to pick up other orders. The food just got here, cold and soggy. When I saw the driver headed to another part of the city, I contacted him and he told me they have to pick up multiple orders. I tried to cancel, talked to a supervisor, and they would not cancel. They offered me a small future discount to go with my cold and late food.
I have used Doordash and Uber Eats plenty of times, rarely ever an issue, can't even recall one. Grubhub I've experienced more issues than I have with any delivery service or retailer combined. Practically every time I order from a restaurant, it's delayed, and completely screws up my schedule. If not that, then drivers who either get lost and can not find my address and then have the nerve when I try to help them, to be snarky and tell ME to leave better directions in my order?!, or call me a million times when I state that I'm available to speak on the phone or be in the phone because I'm working. The message I receive back is that my order is unavailable and if I don't answer I won't receive my order…I don't even understand that. Picking up magically makes my order available? I was texting and stated I can not speak on the phone I am in a meeting at work. I've never had a delivery service call me so many times. I had 10 missed calls. I decided then and there I'm canceling grubhub and going back to DoorDash. I reordered the same order, got here within the delivery window, no phone calls, left on my porch, without a single problem.
I ordered from a restaurant that was opened. GH and the restaurant confirmed the order, I received an estimated delivery time and the app stated the driver was on the way to the restaurant. Suddenly 10 mins before the estimated delivery time, the order got cancelled on their end. They stated I would receive a refund in 3-5 days. The order should have never been confirmed or gone this far. It should have been cancelled asap so I could have ordered else where in the mean time. I tried to contact support regarding this order and it would not let me stating I'd receive a refund in 3-5 days. Apparently you can only chat with support for completed orders. I don't order much but luckily I had 1 previous order that I was able to use to get through to the support chat. They offered me 6 months of free delivery which I was not ok with. As mention, I rarely order and after this would prefer to use any other food delivery service. When i was not happy with that offer, Jennifer who was suppose to be helping me stated she'd transfer my chat to her senior but instead ended the chat.
This is by far the worst food delivery service. Each time I order, the order doesn't go through to the restaurant. When I call GrubHub they say that they fixed the problem, but they don't fix it. They emailed me this:

I TRIED AGAIN AND IT DIDN'T WORK… AGAIN!
Everytime time I order food something is missing never fails. I call up get connected with the Philippines call center that could careless about us and get told that all that can be done is given a refund and to bad. I have dealt with the repeatedly and I am done, I have received orders where the food was delivered and the drinks (iced tea) were in glass bottles and pick up the soggy glass filled bag because the driver who could also careless just dropped the order on my porch. Trying to deal with "customer service" is such a joke they tell you as the consumer what your going to do, take a refund and shut up its a joke. 24/7 is also a joke I ordered food 2 hrs before a restraunt closed and it kept getting delayed and delayed until it got canceled, I called the restraunt they said there was no driver, called grubhub and they said they couldnt get a driver so how can you offer 24/7 "service" if you don't have the "staff" to facilitate it. Don't waste your time with these companies order small that still have the young kid making a few bucks delivering food anytime I have an issue with them they make sure that everything is there and if it isn't they come back with it.
I use DoorDash all the time and I love it. I got a gift certificate to GrubHub so I thought I'd try something new. It was grossly overpriced. Basically, the gift card was useless as it was so much money. From a $20 calzone I paid 40 with taxes and fees.
The most unprofessional drivers and customer service agents. They are a scam. They deliver cold mushy food and takes over an hour to deliver. I recommend Uber. DO NOT USE GRUBHUB.
I ordered kfc through grub hub and I live less than ten minutes from kfc and it has taken over a hour to get my food. I feel grub hub has let me down and I will find another food delivery that can be more timely so my food won't be cold when it arrives
I placed an order at 8:12 this morning for 12:30 delivery for my wife who comes home to eat everyday and just got a text saying that it will be late with the estimated delivery time being 12:56 to 1:06. She gets a half hour lunch and I thought a nice hot lunch she didn't have to rush to prepare would be a nice surprise. Even with the order confirmed at 10:02 am, they still can't deliver food on time with a 2.5 hour window. Now she'll be making a sandwich again, and I wasted $22 with tip. I'll never use GrubHub again.
I had to wait for hours for my order to come. And the drivers act like they are lost when you follow them on the map thing. There customer service/ chat thing they are super rude they say that they will work on the better services on the driver witch they won't. They are expensive.
Delivery drivers are constantly dropping off orders to the wrong apartment. I even have it set that they're suppose to knock on my door and physically hand me the order. I've finally got fed up with the incompetence so canceled my membership and will be switching to DoorDash. Grubhub, there's a reason you're losing customers and it's due to your drivers.
Ordered from a local Thai restaurant. Got notification food was picked up and then nothing. We finally walked down the street and found our food two houses down on someone else's porch. Called GrubHub and they said thanks for calling but we can't give you a refund or credit. I won't be using them again.
I received a Grub Hub gift card after having surgery. I attempted to use the gift card purchased. When I went to access the gift card code two characters scratched off. I asked customer service and they told me they would expedite this but it would take 48 hours! Not helpful at all.

Grubhub driver stole my food and Grubhub charged me for the replacement order. The driver states they left the order in the office, which was closed. When I complained I was sent a replacement order and charged a second time. Everyone I have spoken to says Grubhub drivers steal the food regularly and Grubhub never gives refunds. DO NOT USE!
