There is just too many times food is missing! I understand restaurants leave off items however with delivery, drivers can be suspect. Grubhub should require a check of items and also require sealed bags for delivery.
This was definitely a first for me! Never have I EVER received a food delivery strapped to the back of a motorcycle, and it arrived SO cold. I mean, and I wrong here? I was so surprised to see my pizza and garlic bread strapped on the back. No heat box or anything! How is this allowed?
I have had multiple drivers set down my food, take a picture, then pick up the food and leave. Under CCTV cameras. Each time I've confronted Grubhub support with the evidence, they've refused to give refunds due to "evidence the food was delivered". So I lose my money and have nothing to eat. We customers need to band together and file a class action lawsuit from the amount of theft Grubhub allows.
I will never use Grubhub again. The drivers they hire eat your food and fake deliveries. They do not pay attention to instructions and have no idea how to enter a gated community. DOOR DASH IS 100% BETTER.
You're better off just picking up your food. A $10 item turns into close to $30 (If you tip the driver well). Then you risk receiving either someone else's order, or discover that your $#*! is wrong, and or, your missing items. It's too much of a convenience to get overcharged, only to get $#*!ed. I'll just drive a few miles to get my food just for the piece of mind that my $#*! is correct, and all accounted for.
Every time I order from GrubHub I get an estimate of 20 to 25 minutes, then, it never fails, minutes later I get a text telling me something went wrong and now my order is actually going to be an hour late. 1.16 stars is too high an average for this joke of a company.
My experience with GrubHub was the absolute worst that I have ever ever experienced! Exclamation! First of all, they charged my credit card instead of my gift card they refused to reverse it and then my food never came so then Graebner said that they'll pay for it and again and they'll get me some fresh stuff three hours later It's I get a text from the driver in saying that if they're here and they're not here then he wants my address which he should already have to put inside the GPS. This is absolutely ridiculous. I've never experienced anything like this. I will never in a zillion years ever go through Grubhub again and I suggest that you don't either everybody that I come in contact with everybody at the hotel. I work at everybody that I know I'm going to tell them to not go to Grubhub. They will definitely be sorry.
Wish I could review without giving any stars...Missing 2 items from my order. Grunhub refused to bring missing items. My 91 year old mother was left without the dinner she ordered. Of course, we shared our dinners with her but, the point is, the entire experience was ruined & they couldn't care less. Refunding my money did not help the situation. Someone was left without food. Immediately canceled membership. I suggest not using this service because if your order is missing items, you will go HUNGRY.

The GrubHub guarantee is not always honored. I have gotten three emails stating that it would not be honored because they claimed it did not meet the terms. This was not true, and the guarantee was honored only after I contacted customer service. However, this just takes more time and lets me know that GH does not respect my time. If you say that you have a guarantee, honor it! It doesn't matter if a customer submits a million times to have it honored. That is not the customers fault. That means that you need to improve your process.

I never got my meal and they extended me to re- order my meal and still be charge for it. So with that I wasn't able to eat dinner.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We order from Grubhub routinely and normally tip 25 percent or higher,today I have never witnessed what I witnessed today. I order from a pizza place BlackJack pizza and the order was 25 minutes late, secondly when the order arrives the female driver( who seemed to be deaf or have a disability knocks on my door one time then takes the order back to her car? I have specific instructions to leave the order at the door like everyone did during covid. I tell her " Maam Maam and she acted like she didnt hear me and drives away with my food, she then tries to call me as I'm talking to Grubhub about my refund and I don't answer because I'm that pissed! My food was probably cold too. Grubhub needs to train their drivers on following elementary instructions and not being confrontational with the people who help pay their salary! Unbelievable!
I have ordered food from them in the past couple of months and my food was over an hour and a half late. Then when it was late they put it on my front porch with no knock or nothing. So don't believe that guarantee your food will be on time because it won't. My food was cold and some foods you just can't eat cold, sorry. The credit was just not good enough when you have a bad experience and can't enjoy the food you wanted to eat. I have never had any issues with Doordash like this and I give it no stars actually. The food was expensive and I gave a tip and this was a horrible experience twice. Trust me order from Doordash you will be happy!
Terrible experience. I even bought into their Plus membership, hoping that would fix the issues I constantly had with them. But every order I've made has required support. Most end up canceled after they tell me just to wait. The record, is I believe, making me wait two hours and urging me not to order something else, until after all nearby restaurants closed, and they canceled on me instead. Many of the cancellations come after use of "perk" discounts to make up for previous poor service. Absolutely do not waste your time or money on this company!
If you attempt to escalate an issue you've had to hold employees accountable, they will simply end the chat. I've attempted to speak to management & my chat was ended prematurely. I then attempted to report a grievance for the customer service rep. And my chat was ended prematurely.
It seems, the customer service individuals are either not allowed to, or don't want to be bothered with anything outside of the normal complaints.
If there is any issue with your order, you will either receive a refund or have it delivered again. There is nothing given for the inconveniences.
If an order has missing item(s), you get a refund for the item(s). The driver who failed to deliver all the items still gets the full tip. You cannot tip low & add a custom amount after delivery because your food will almost always be delivered late or not at all.
It is a flawed system run by people who don't want to be bothered to do anything but the bare minimum.
I'm done using this app and I would never recommend it to anyone in my area (Northeast US). There's plenty of alternatives that aren't as poorly operated.
I contacted Grubhub and told them that 2 out of the 3 coffees I had ordered were all spilled out in the bag. They would not redeliver my order. I looked at my ring camera footage and the driver knew it the way he was looking at the bag and how he was holding it and how he placed it down. Will not be ordering from them again! I'm sorry I didn't take the picture like I had wanted to, they told me they have no way of getting pictures.
My orders are always late missing items, causing me to place orders again and pay more and then have to wait up to five days for my money back from the item I never received. Customer service says there's nothing they can do horrible, horrible company.
When you sign up to drive for GrubHub, they send you a corporate card. Do NOT activate it! Doing so will lead to time consuming "Shop and Pay" orders and "Place and Pay" orders. Shop and Pay is basically being a personal shopper for someone, where you have to go to a store, find the requested items, pay for them, and deliver them. Place and Pay is far more sinister. This is where GrubHub lists a restaurant in their network though the restaurant is not actually signed up for GrubHub. Drivers are expected to go to the restaurant, place the order on behalf of the customer, wait for it, pay for it with the corporate card, then deliver it to the customer. This is GrubHub trying to make their restaurant network appear larger than it really is, and should be considered fraud, in my opinion. Also, GrubHub has little market share in comparison to Uber Eats and DoorDash so drivers can't make as much money, as there is often long lag time between orders. The only positive about GrubHub is the quality of their bags. Uber Eats supplies none and the Doordash bags have paper thin insulation. It is worth signing up for GrubHub just to get the free delivery bag but otherwise isn't worthwhile.
This was the worst experience i've had with grub hub so far. Not only did I explain to the customer service representative. That answered my call the first time that the address in my order was incorrect. She assured me that they fixed it before the order left the restaurant. The driver refused to bring it to the new address. So I drove to pick it up. Which defeats the purpose of grub hub. After paying $40 and having to pick up my order. I get home and the food is unedible. I contact grubhub And the customer service rep refuses to refund me for the delivery fee and the food. She insults me by giving me a five dollar promotion to go towards my account. I will never order through grub hub again.
I ordered a pizza from Papa John's at 6pm today Wednesday August 30,2023 and supposedly it arrived at 6:47 pm then delayed at 7:30 and now 8:30 pm, this service is terrible today it was debuted and fired.
