This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened. I place an order with GH and they call an hour later and ask if I have received my food yet (I haven't) so
They ask if I still want it. By then the restaurant I'd ordered from is closed. So I cancel. My card is still charged but my money is returned with 48 hours. Just bad customer service and seems like incompetent people run/manage this business.
I would like to inform people that are considering using GrubHub, that if they care about their health, they should consider that the people delivering the food do not appear to be held accountable to any cleanliness or food safety standards. Tonight while dinning at an Old Chicago, I observed what I thought was an Old Chicago driver take a case full of pizza boxes with them into a restroom. Disgusted, I decided to peek in the restroom and see what the driver did with them. Well there the pizzas were, sitting at the feet of the delivery driver on restroom floor within the cramped toilet stall... I went to tell the restaurant about their driver, only to be informed that they did not deliver. Well I went back into the restroom again to see that the case said "GrubHub" on the side. The people that will be receiving this food will never know! It's disgusting. Suffice to say, I will not be using GrubHub anytime in the foreseeable future.
I ordered from grubhub and they did not deliver my food to the location I was at they sat in their car and called me from a spam number to let me know they were at my location but never attempted to bring my food inside to me I called and informed them of this and asked for a refund of my money and they refused to return my money after several attempts to get my money back they said it would be returned to my account but they never returned it I will never use this company again I will use doordash instead at least they bring the food to the door and ask for the person that ordered the food.
I sent a Red Lobster dinner to my mother for Valentines Day since she is alone. The order was supposed to be there at 4:30. I got several messages stating it was delayed... first 5 minutes... then 10... then another 10. I then received a message that it was delivered. I called my mom and she said she received nothing. Not only did the "deliver" 45 minutes late but they left the food at the wrong house. I message GrubHub and by all rights... they refunded the money... at least they said they did (have to wait up to 14 days). What they should've done is apologized and resent the order to the correct address at no additional charge.
I live 600 miles from my mom and simply wanted her to have something nice for Valentines Day and they left her order with the wrong people... WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN
The driver wasn't able to brought our food in right location. The app give a wrong address when I choose the current location. I even put the hotel I was in, but then they just ignore and pointing the fault on us. I ended up waiting for 1 hr for nothing they said its refunded but it says in the app delivered refunded 0.22 cents. Their service is so ridiculous.
First time using this service I am really disappointed all started with 40 minutes arrival then all suddenly became 95 minutes call restaurant said it was ready then call GrubHub customer service the damn guy sounded like a computer keep repeating it self voice recording
GrubHub is the worst delivery service on the planet. When you try to find out where your order is, they are so insulated, they are not penalized when your food doesn't show up when they tell you they don't know where your order is.
This is the worst service. Food arrives incredibly late, cold. There is no accountability or ability to get a refund or review on their website. I will never use this service again.
The grub hub in my area which used to be good is now done. I ordered a sandwich at 12:05 pm and it was supposed to be here at 12:40. I checked the tracker and it was not set up to come here til 2:40pm. I called the restaurant who says GrubHub is terrible these days here. The worst was calling the help line, they lied and said the driver was on his way to the restaurant. A half hour later I called and they lied and said the same thing. Canceled my order. NEVER AGAIN Grub hub you are liars and you should be ashamed of yourself.
I placed an order from KFC, around the time it should've been delivered i got a text from the driver saying he couldn't get in touch with me but he left my food at the front door! I checked my door, both my neighbors doors and didn't find anything! On top of that, my refund wasn't instant! I Hate grubhub, I hate their $#*!ty service and will never use them again.
Leesburg, Florida, I was out of town working, my day started at 3am, worked all day, returned to hotel around 6pm exhausted. Ordered from grubhub, I realized after ordering I put the wrong room number. I couldn't find a way to make edits to the order once it was placed, tracking came up and I was able to send a message to driver, which I did. The response was "not a problem". I took this to mean she received the message and would deliver to the correct room. I saw on the app she was on her way then suddenly a message popped up "delivered". It was not delivered to me! I called customer service, waited while they contacted the driver. Customer service came back on and said it had been delivered, I said it wasn't, she immediately said she would refund my money, is there anything else she can help me with. If the driver had actually delivered to the proper address, why were they so quick to make a refund? She would not discuss it further, so, I, after working a 15 hour day, had to get dressed and go out at 8:30 pm on a Saturday night in a strange city and forage for food. Good luck with that, had Wendy's, ate and went to bed. I remembered the last time I was in that area, it took 2 1/2 hours to get a delivery but at least I finally got it. Is it the area or the service? Not sure, won't be using them again, anywhere. I have future events booked in that area and now know grubhub is NOT an option!
Driver stated they delivered my order but my order was never delivered. Called Customer Service and they said the driver called me HE NEVER CALLED! Customer Service is a JOKE! Don't waste your money order from their competitors they are much better
Food will never show up at your door, try calling customer service they will cancel your order and give you 20% discount on next order that the best they can do,
I was not able to give negative remarks to this worst food delivery service around new york and new jersey, orders are never delivered to the address several of my friends and I have faced the same problem.
I placed a order at 7pm got expected delivery of 8:20.8:00 approaches and I get another message expected delivery 9:40-950... mind you this place i I ordered from closed at 9, so I call GRUBHUB for them to tell me they had no drivers? A delivery service with no drivers? I also called the restaurant directly to replace my order and was told they dont have a contract with grubhub. WOW!
I am in Florida, I used GrubHub once, maybe twice, then I get a notice from my bank that my debit card was used in New York. I see where, call the restaurant & verified that someone did indeed use my debit card THRU GRUBHUB in New York. Bank took care of it for me & I notified GrubHub via email. In checking my previous orders on GrubHub I notice one in Pennsylvania as well. GrubHub responded to my email & stated I can no longer use their service because I filed fraud claims. Really? WOW! I guess I am supposed to pay for other peoples food to continue using GrubHub. No Thanks
I ordered some sub sandwiches from Subway around 6 PM to be delivered within 45 min. Time kept on getting extended. Order ended getting cancelled, I texted them... oh we will reopen get it to you. Never happened and order cancelled again. Texted again, oh we will get it to you. Failure again.
I am handicapped, in a wheelchair ad was tired and didn't want to cook that day was a weekday, but we have snowbirds in Florida, so I assume my order took less precedence. They never tried to make it right after the event and deleted me because I was upset about their poor service.
They only get 1 star because it is lowest... I would give negative if possible just on customer service.

Placed an order for food at 6pm, received a notification that the restaurant had started preparing my food, then sat to wait. 30 mins later get a notification that my order is delayed and the driver assigned to my order is no longer showing up on tracking. A new driver is assigned, another 30 min delay. TWO HOURS after I ordered my food, I am called and told that the restaurant closed at 3pm (even though it was listed as open on their site) and that they will be refunding me in 5-10 days. I was left without food, too late to order elsewhere (past 8pm at this point), and couldn't cook at home due to my kitchen being repaired (the reason I ordered in the first place). Horrible customer service, didn't even apologize or offer to give me back the $10 off first order coupon I wasted on this fiasco.
Horrible - absolutely horrible! This time was the last straw - I will NEVER AGAIN order food through Grubhub.
Ordered ahead (8:45am) for a restaurant that opened at 10am, for a modest-sized order to be delivered by noon (12pm). Should have been plenty of time, and according to the restaurant food was ready on time for pickup. About then, GH updated their delivery time to 12:10pm. Unfortunately, the order wasn't picked up until 2pm, and finally arrived TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATE - stone cold.
COMPLETELY THE FAULT OF GRUBHUB, but unfortunately I bet a lot of restaurants get blamed and suffer poor reviews because of situations just like this - adding insult to injury, as GH takes 30% from the restaurant on top of the fees they charge you! Robbery.
We had ordered with these guys. They took our money off our card. Sent us an email stating a time for it to be here. And we waited. So we called they told us our order was cancelled 5 minutes after ordering. They didnt let us know and than told us we would get our money back in 3 to 5 business days. If u didnt complete the order than u should be able to put it back on as fast as u took it off. And when u call they are horrible and they chose not to listen to u and they interrupt alot. Heartless as hell
