I had to wait a bit for my city (it has a cathedral) to come on board which upped the anti. In the meantime I bought discounted entry to Plymouth's paintball for my son.
I understand that these are businesses trying to promote their own business and giving away "product" is a cost (marketing) wish hopefully pans out for them. I made sure I read the fine print and I am happy with the terms & conditions.
When Exeter did come on board one of the offers was a popular tea room claiming to offer a big discount. I looked at the menu did the maths and the discount didn't add up. I would still save money (that I wouldn't of spent in the first place but I am grown up now and understand this) however I chose not to use the Groupon because I didn't like it that they appear to be overclaiming/promising the savings. And I don't want to be dissappointed when I get there. I could ring them and demand clarification but in this instance I have just said "pass". I hope Groupon takes off and I get to save money on not only luxuries and treats but essentials as well.
I am a fan of Groupon, I use it all the time. However, this last purchase was for a groupon getaway. I accidently put the wrong date. I waited for my confirmation email and was give a number to call. I called that number and was on hold for at least 20 minutes. Finally I got another number for Groupon, called them and was told they had to transfer me, they couldn't help me. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and she stated they were all in a meeting. It was obvious that she was from India. I explained to her I have been on hold for over 30 minutes and she said there was nothing she could do. I attempted to email, every time I typed in my questions, it gave me a defaulted answer. After several tries, I was finally able to send an email and they did get back to me, telling me what I already know but was trying to avoid. I had to cancel the trip, wait 10 days to get my money back and reorder. No apologies, nothing. In the end, I was on hold 1 and 24 minutes. I truly don't believe anyone would have answered that phone. Groupon should do better, I spend alot of money on them.
Please please review groupon new refund policy. Maybe it's just this particular rep, but she seems to be banking on the possibility that I don't read their policy.
I called groupon for a refund (I changed my mind within the stated 7 days) - after they didn't reply my email after 2 days, but the customer service rep initially told me that she couldn't refund me just because I changed my mind. When I pointed out that the stated policy did not make that distinction and I can do a refund if it's within 7 days, she back-pedaled a little and said she can fix this on a case-by-case basis, and in this case, she will refund it to me as Groupon credit. Again I insisted that their policy allows for immediate refund back to credit card, and again she back-pedaled (and sort of panicked) and told me to hold on as she needed to talk to someone. After a few minutes she came back and completed the refund process.
I confronted her at the end about the way she handled my case (trying to convince me that their refund policy was different) and had to be 'forced' to live up to the Groupon promise, and she gave me excuses about how she was only trying to review the refund policy at each step (where first she said she cannot do the refund, and then can only refund as credit, and finally yes, she can refund in full). I'm disappointed on how this was handled. Although I got my refund at the end, I don't understand why she made it that difficult and seemed to try to avoid refunding, where per their policy, it should be a clear cut case. I'm very disappointed in Groupon, I thought they were better than that.
If you have a problem with a groupon ticket or voucher and you can't resolve the issue yourself consider your money wasted. Groupon has decided. To go completely online when dealing with customer service meaning that you will not at any given moment speak to a real voice. When you call you will hear a recorded message that will repeat twice that they have gone completely online with customer service and hang up. You can look all over their website and you will not find a live chat tab or link anywhere. The tidious process that I had to do in order to get in touch with someone was:
1. Go to help
2. Type live chat on the search field
3. Only then, to get a message box.
A message box that gets replied as an email and groupon (may) or will take about 24 hours to reply back. Your reply back may look like mines (their reply:_what voucher?) after I told them what voucher I had an issue with (by the way, this was the only recent voucher I had ordered, the previous vouchers were from about a year ago) then they would take another 24 hours to respond back and the response most likely you are not going to like. The response I receive started with the common_Unfortunately, we are not able to...
Groupon takes so long to answer that if you are on a time crunch because of the upcoming expiration of your voucher is near, the voucher will expire and they won't do anything for the customer.
Too much hassle, too much of a waste of time, when you realize the amount of time you have wasted to resolve an issue you'll realize it's just not worth the effort.
Used their coupon code but transaction failed. I won't be able to use the code again beacuse It's considered used even though the transaction is failed.
I'm on limited income, I had a 18.99 voucher for something else I ordered and didn't use it. I tried to order AIR MAX Trampoline Park for 15$ for 4. It did NOT go through. I tried on more than one occasion. I was using what was left to get my son a restaurant gift card. Well it went through for10$, again I tried gonna pay difference with my debit card. To NO AVAIL, so I tried to order my daughter 2 different restaurant gift cards. NO IT DIDNT GO THROUGH EITHER! I FINALLY ordered a bracket for my daughters bday on Jan 30. Groupon keeps sending me emails with same crap on it. I have asked them on 3 occasions to call me f they really wanted to get this straight. Been 2 weeks still no call. GROUPON CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!

Your customer service issue with Groupon from August 2018
I was trying to chat and resolve this issue but the chat person logged off while I was typing a long response and now groupon has me blocked so I cannot initiate another chat... I was trying to cancel an order for venue tickets because they did not supply any section or seats on the groupon receipt. I am handicapped and cannot get to upper nosebleed sections. While chatting with groupon ********* I was typing a long response and the chat person signed off. Now they have me blocked so I cannot initiate another chat session. I am Pi*****! I am going to have to dispute this with my credit card company if they won't fix this. They did tell me to contact the merchant to see if they would do anything to help me.
Groupon told me I must contact the merchant to cancel the tickets. I called Ticketmaster, who is listed on groupon as the merchant, and I find out that these tickets were purchased by Groupon to sell on their site. NOT being sold by a real merchant. I re-read the fine print and apparently the price of the tickets can change by the time you go to the venue to use your groupon. WHO DOES THAT? WHAT A SCAM!
I purchased 2 tickets to the Field Museum on Dec 15 as Christmas gifts. No expiration date was shown until I received confirmation of the deal in an email. The expiration date was just a few days away on Dec 31. As the recipients were leaving on vacation the day after Christmas and not returning until January and wouldn't be able to use, I needed to contact customer service. After searching and searching for contact info, I finally found an email. Sent an email, no response. Finally found a phone number but they don't take calls. Finally found Live Chat on the app. It wasn't easily available. Turns out a refund was not an option nor would they extend the expiration date. So I just spent over $50 for nothing! I asked the customer service rep where I could post a review and she gave me an address for customer service. I asked again where I could post a review and was told she couldn't give me that info. When you're buying from Groupon make sure you're absolutely 100% sure the deal is going to work for you because if you need customer service, they're not helpful if you can even find them in the first place.
I really use Groupon often! I always keep searching for crazy deals on Groupon. I like deals on electronic items! There are sooo... many crazy people like me buying stuffs.
I've ordered a couple items from here and it is the WORST customer service when dealing with credits and returns. I had exchanged emails with them regarding a small credit and they kept messing it up even after saying they were going to fix it. Because I recently had a credit I decided to use it (I wish I just bought something for the same price of my credit and not more).
I decided to return the items (I wish I didnt have to do this) and went to their site to let them know I was wanting to return them.
They make it a really miserable experience by charging you for return shipping.
I figured I didnt want to pay for the return shipping since I already paid 9.95 to ship it to begin with. I clicked "credit" instead of "return" and saw that some was going to credit (from the previous credit) and the rest to refund. WHY?
So I just emailed to put it all on credit. But actually, after reading these reviews I want my money back.
I havent heard back yet, since I just emailed today-but honestly it isnt worth the hassle. I just want my money back and will be happy doing my shopping at the other sites I have had easier experiences with. I have purchased from Ruelala and it is WAY more professional, and helpful. I dont want to pay for shipping if many other sites offer it at no cost, low cost, or is hassle free.
Took my money then emailed to say delivery within seven days and then recieved email to say my address is invalid and may take seven days to refund the money, what a crap company.
I ordered a Shed from these people, after 18 days of calling and talking with there customer service people and getting NO WERE There shippers called me and lift a message to call them to schedule a delivery. I did call to find out the number is on a Fax machine so I wated and called several times again. I then found the correct number for the shipper the following day. I called once again, OMG I started talking with a live person I gave my name and shipping number was told all the trucks were out on the road and the shipment could not made for another three days. The shipping company is 25 miles south of my address. I explained to this person< I had been waiting for 18 days for this item, I was told there was nothing they could do. I then called Groupons office and explained what I had been going through and asked if there was anything they could do. I got a no there is nothing that could be done. I told the Groupon Rep. To cancel my order and return my money I was told they would do this for me. The return of my money would take 7 to 10 days. Oh my I will never use this company again they have no answers and give you no help.
I just received a charge for $36 for something I ordered and paid for in April! Groupon is stating they made a mistake and did not charge me - they looked for a payment for $36 and could not find it (I had discounts and credits and paid $25.40 for it). They want me to prove by sending "bank statements" (I used a credit card)? They took the money, but have no record of it? Example of Groupon online support (you cannot talk to anyone):

Unbelievable, a company I have been using for years, (I spent a lot of money here) would treat me this way. Wondering if they are having financial issues?
The Problem:
1) I never received my package
2) My package was sent from UPS to a random local post office without any notice
3) Complained to "ideeli Customer Service" and didn't get a response back
This my first time and probably my last time shopping at ideeli.
I ordered a watch THREE WEEKS ago (also additional 2 weeks for the product to actually ship out) and still have not received any package.
The following shipment said it was delivered by a local post office but
Haven't received anything from the mail. I am extremely frustrated and upset to have paid so much on my first product ever bought on ideeli and to found that UPS decides to send it to a local post office... who probably has lost the item or cannot be found. Who knows?

My item since ideeli is terrible at giving us any information or acknowledgment but the acceptance of our credit card numbers.
Now I'm just finding ways to file a complaint to ideeli for it's irresponsible shipping

Half the deals aren't really good deals; the other half have so many conditions as to make them impossible. I used to like Groupon but have soured on it.
I use Groupon all the time when trying to plan my weekends. I love the fact that I am able to do things that I wouldn't regularly be able to afford thanks to Groupon.
I used Groupon in Poland and I'm very pleased. I were on holidays a few times, places and prices were great! I also used estetic medicine services in Warsaw and I'm very glad.
Groupon is the best! Always has the best deals, easy to use/find, and has a wide variety of groupons to choose from. Customer service is the best as well! Always a great experience.
I have bad experience they are bad and make trick to the customers. I bought to then a lot itten and they charged to my Groupon bucks and to my bank account and they never refunded my money back.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
