I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the purchases I've made from GlassesUSA. I was hesitant at first, buying online. But I got to upload a photo of myself and try on different frames virtually, and also upload my superscription, and the prices were really appealing, particularly the 60% off the first purchase. So, I took the plunge. And I've come back for more... three times! I have super glasses for substantially less than I would pay at most eye ware stores. The only caveat I have is about the delivery time. In my experience, it takes a good three weeks to receive the glasses, so if you're in a hurry, be aware. The upside is that when you receive your glasses, they will be... ahem... just what the doctor ordered. Thank you, glassesusa.com!
I will never order from this place again. I placed an order on 5/3 for 1 pair of glasses. It says allow 3 days for production and up to 48 hours I believe for quality. It is now 5/27 and still don't have my glasses.
I should have checked the reviews before ordering but at last you live and learn. As stated by most people this company doesn't have customer support, they have no idea what's going on and keep giving the same canned response. As to what happened I ordered 2 pairs of Rx sunglasses, at first everything was going smoother getting updates. Then I receive the tracking number and to my surprise it's getting sent to Cincinnati Ohio (I live in northern Ontario in CANADA). They have no idea what happened so some random person received my glasses and I'm out a bunch of money and as stated customer support is non existent. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all cost.
Ps. I saved the transcript because it was that bad, literally told me nothing they can do no refund, I'm starting to think this company is a scam. Do your homework before even thinking of trying this company.

I'm in my mid-30s and was recently told by my ophthalmologist that I need glasses for the first time in my life, but the retail shops around me are mostly closed due to Covid and I wasn't sure what to do. A friend of my mother's said she uses GlassesUSA for her glasses, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered my glasses on May 14 and received them 9 days later on May 23. I ordered the Ottoto Moran frames. They fit perfectly, look nice, and most importantly, I can now see clearly again. I was surprised by how fast and easy it was to order. My very first pair of brand-new glasses in less than 2 weeks and I love them! They came with a heavy-duty carry case, too, and a cleaning cloth. Awesome. :) Thanks GlassesUSA.
I ordered by glasses online during covid. They arrived about 2 weeks later. They look nothing like the try on-line. Much smaller and really look terrible. Covid has me working like crazy and I asked to return 15 days after delivery. They are unworn and just look bad - especially for spending >$200. Was denied immediately. Just too tough to see how they will look online.

First time ordering with them and most certainly the last. Placed an order, and soon after decided to cancel it. On good faith, I trusted an agent of theirs that said they would handle a price adjustment. They did not. When I went online to chat and inquire about it it took nearly three hours and no directly addressed the issues that were caused by their mistake. Mistakes happen, how you handle them is everything, especially in customer service. Even if they made this right, how could I ever use a company that absolutely refused to handle their mistake? Complete hassle and waste of my time. Avoid this company. There are plenty of others out there.

If I could, I would give them zero starts. I was interested in trying online ordering of glasses and looked around for ones offering reputable frames. GlassesUSA claims to offer a lot of brands including Ray Ban and Oakley. I needed a pair of prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses. The experience was awful. First I was sent a pair of progressive glasses where I liked the frame but the distortion for the lens made it impossible to use. I tried it for two days and could not get used to it at all. I was returning it for a refund along with the sunglasses that had the same problem, when they offered me a credit for 120% of my original order. I should not have taken that offer. Once you take that offer you can only get a credit at GlassesUSA, you cannot get your money back. So then it took a quite a long time for them to send me my next pair of prescription glasses and they arrived with the same distortion problem. I then tried to order the sunglasses, but now they were out of the ray ban frames that I wanted. I tried looking for other name brands and they were all out. I felt sure that this was not a coincidence since now I was forced to buy from them. I was only offered brands that I have never heard of in my size and shape. I recently bit the bullet and got the no name frame and it is cheap and low quality. I would never buy from this company again. The sales pitch of giving me 120% credit was misleading since they don't mention that once you take it you can only get a credit with the company and can no longer get a refund. I highly recommend not using this company to purchase glasses. Not one aspect of this purchase was positive.

I placed my order for 2 pairs of glasses on 4/15 and paid for expedited. After I ordered I sent a message asking to speed it up to the quickest shipping (and to add the blue lenses to a one of the pairs that somehow changed and took it off during the order), because I REALLY need these glasses. My contacts have been back ordered until August with my eye doctor. Anyway, I received a message 5/11 that my glasses were on the way... I still haven't received them, and the tracking number I was given just says they are waiting for the item. This really sucks, and I wish I had known it was going to take this long. I would have ordered from somewhere else. I won't be ordering from here again. I had also told my family how easy the ordering process was and referred them, but I will be calling them and telling them to stay away. Save yourself, and your vision and don't order from here. I'm just hopeful I'll receive them soon, and that they will be correct.

I understand we are going through a pandemic, but I have ordered from many sites and gotten package. Some late but have recieved them. I've been waiting for my glasses to move to testing then to be shipped. I ordered on may the 1st now may the 17th and it hasn't even gone to testing. They keep sending emails that it can take 3 business days but it's been way over that and I have a basic single vision. Won't answer questions just send the same email with time estimations that are 3 days production 2 days testing.

First of all, just to be clear. I understand orders and production are delayed due to COVID-19. That's not what this is about. For the last month, I have been told my glasses were in production and even told it was in Quality Assurance. None of the representatives I spoke with bothered to tell me that my glasses were out of stock this whole time! I do not appreciate being lied to.
Can't speak to the product because I haven't received them yet. But customer service has been horrible.

I placed an order online on the 5th of the month; I inquired on the 14th of the month via chat about the order status as I received an email earlier that morning stating the order had shipped but when I researched the tracking number that afternoon it showed that the package had not been received.
The customer service (chat) reps are extremely rude and will not answer questions directly. They only provide the staple response of "Production from time of order takes 3-6 business days, quality assurance takes 1-2 business days, and our free shipping option is 7-10 business days, however, for $12.95 you can upgrade your shipping to 3-5 business days". Then the chat is disconnected. Absolutely horrible customer service skills.
I initially placed an order with their competitor eyebuydirect.com and received my order within a week; without paying for expedited shipping, and about $100 less for progressive lens (these are single vision with glassesUSA.com). This was an expensive lesson learned as I just learned that calls (including chats) are routed through the Philippines yet corporate offices are supposedly in Lexington, NY. This explains so much and is so disappointing that we (the US) cannot provide simple things such as customer service and eye glasses without outsourcing to foreign countries. If we, Americans, treated natives in their own countries as poorly as we are treated in our own we would be raked over the coals and banned for life. The name glassesUSA.com is very, very misleading but that's to be expected nowadays, smh.
I've read that 2 star ratings do not get posted; however, there are multitudes of social media avenues to post 'real' reviews from 'real' customers. I'll be back to post a review once the final products are received.

I would highly recommend you NOT waste your money on this terrible site! I've been waiting for my glasses for over a month now.
First there were problems with my prescription. I sent it in three time before being accepted.
Then there were several « delays in the production » of actually making the glasses. Every time I spoke to a representative it was the same email over and over and no one provided any sort of help, just « keep checking our website for updates ».

I spent over $500 on my glasses and it took several weeks to receive it. I ordered it April 7, they said it was shipped on the 16th, but USPS Tracking kept saying they were waiting for the package for several more days. Finally received it on the 24th. After spending so much I would think they could spend $20 to expedite.
Then after a week of owning my glasses, a screw came out and the nose piece fell off. My options were to send the glasses back or they could send me the parts. Knowing how long they take I asked them to just send me the parts so that I could have someone fix it locally. It has now been two weeks and I still have not received the parts. A nosepiece and a screw. Just put a stamp on an envelope and throw it in the mail... So since placing my order over a month and a half ago, I have only been able to use my glasses for one week. Sad...

Before one year my glasses nose piece split. I called the company and talk to five different people over a months time. Each of them said the same thing, as though they were reading from a script. Each of them said "I will forward this to our production department and you were hear from them within two or three days by email." I never heard back from them. I tried emailing them, and got the same response about the production department. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and supposedly was transferred to management. Unbelievably, that person said, "I will forward this to our production department and you will hear within two or three days by email." Is anyone really alive there in the service department? Are they robots? I'm half kidding, and it would be funny if it were not so serious. Since I cannot wear my lovely glasses USA glasses without the nose piece, I am not laughing. In desperation, I took a nose piece from an old pair of glasses that doesn't fit or match but attached as best I could so I can Wear my glasses. I think in spite of the name they are not based in USA and the people I talked to did not seem to be very able to communicate and they said they cannot talk to anyone in their "production department." Weird.
ONe month later: they sent me new glasses! So I guess they Finally got on the ball
I ordered glasses in March 2020. The order was processed seamlessly and the glasses arrived in a timely basis. The lenses werent bad, but the frames were very cheaply made. In two months of intermittent use, they've become flimsy. They wont last long. I submitted a two-star review. It wasnt posted. It would appear they only post 4 or 5 star reviews and omit the rest. No-one gets 4 or 5 stars everytime. Take a look on the site for negative reviews - few and far between. But plenty of negative reviews elsewhere - Better Business, Reddit, etc. Something seems sketchy.

Upon ordering I was very excited to recieve my glasses 2 weeks went buy and they didn't even start making my glasses (without prescription) I emailed to get an update and this is the response I was given

I placed the order on 4/15/20 and just got them 05/13/20 (having driven to post office to get them) 2 days shy of a month later and yet everytime I asked about them they said " we're in the time frame for your selected shipping" tell me Ashley how a month is within the time frame provided? Horrible customer service I asked if I could pay to expedite the shipping and they said I could not when they should have offered it for free. Since upon purchasing it says 7-10 business days it took over 14 just for my again (non prescription) glasses to start production i buy online a lot and this is by far the worst experience i have had doing so

Messed up three times with same pair of glasses. The picture showing the third time they made this particular pair. First time wrong rx. Second times lost in the shipping. Third time one of the lenses too small keeps falling out. Asked for a refund at least for the lenses but got no reply. To be fair I ordered two other pairs which were ok.

Answer: So far it's been a month and still NO glasses, or tracking info. Much longer than the seven to ten buisness days- in Still waiting.
Answer: I got the same B. S. handed to me. After more than double the stated time and lack of response, I cancelled my order and notified my credit card company.

Answer: Our production times vary between each prescription and lens type we produce. By far our glasses are produced and delivered before the times stated in our shipping policy. In some cases, unfortunately, glasses might not pass quality assurance, which means they need to be remade. This unfortunately means that we have to start again from scratch, but as a rule we do not send out any glasses that did not meet our quality standards. Shipping times are unfortunately mostly beyond our control as we depend upon our carriers to deliver the products in a timely manner. Our delivery department works toe to toe with all of our carriers to make sure our glasses are delivered as promptly as possible. We also offer a variety of shipping options that ensure a faster delivery for any interested customers, but our customers need to keep in mind shipping times do not include production time. Answer: I ordered a pair on 3rd Nov and was still waiting on 20 Nov. I canceled them On the 21st. A rep called and convinced me to give them a second chance...big mistake. I gave them a second shot and resubmitted the order on the 21st. The rep assured me that the glasses would be shipped in 6 days. Taking into account Thanksgiving the glasses should have be shipped on the 30th but they were still in production and, again no real customer service. I canceled and drove to America's Best. In 15 minutes I ordered glasses and they were $30.00 less than glassesusa. I don't recommend that company.
