This company is a scam... I needed to make a change to my reservation. They take my call, there is zero professionalism ( you can hear a party like goings on in the background). They say they will put me through to sales'... I am on hold & then disconnected. This happened 3 times before I realized it never will happen:(
I thought I was booking with the Hotel directly as I was on the hotel website!
After sending an email, the reply - is we are not able to make any change once booked! Why didn't they say so in the first place!

Made a reservation using FindHotel and was charged to my credit card the full amount. When I got the hotel, the reservation was there, but not the payment, so I had to pay again if I wanted the room. Sent several emails and the respond was 'we are sorry for the inconvenience please give us a call' the number is a 800 I can not access from here. So far I have room because I repaid it, the money I paid in advanced don't know if Will be returned and the worst Is the feeling of being in an extrenger country and have no warranty of a room or somebody to give assistance.
Just got ripped off by Get A Room with bogus tax recovery and service charge. They make their web page look like the hotel. Don't book with them. Good luck trying to get any money back, they even have a contact legal team on the website. So obviously deal with lots of angry people wanting refunds. DO NOT BOOK WITH GET A ROOM
It was quick and easy to book a room.
The room noted in our reservation was not the same room we received but it was actually better.

Total chaos in your office. Repeated dates of stay twice and the getting an email with dates reserved as if the agent had no idea either did not understand or just did not care
This service charged me $200 son odd dollars more than if I call the hotel direct. They never told me that my hotel was Not a place for short stay! If you stay less than 7 days there is no house keeping to your room. And if after 5 you need pillows, blankets or a cleaning your out of luck! You have to return your wet dirty towels downstairs to main desk for clean ones. Our room keys didn't work 2 days straight so far. 2 days left. Getaroom doesn't inform you of any of this. Also was promised by agent that we would have 2 rooms next to each other with 2 queen and a sofa bed! Hotel has no sofa beds! So people had to sleep on the floor! No extra blankets or pillows available! Hallways old looking and needs a paint job. Not happy! At all! When told front desk all my concerns I was told not their problem, they didn't book my reservation... the Agency is hired by them therefore is a reflection of them. Called back getaroom for 2 days and cause they are in Philippines they are 12 hours ahead a manager never calls you back when your awake! I got scammed for sure! No one takes responsibility
Confirmation came in less than a minute. Site was easy to use. Prices were much less than at the counter. Will recommend the service and use it myself in the future.

They lieI mistakenly called them trying to reach the Omni. I asked for an early checking. They went as far as to say that the supervisor approved the early check in. I get this confirmation that was not from the Omni. I call the Omni to confirm the guaranteed early checkin to find out that the Omni does not guarantee early Check in! I calledpissed as I should have been maybe 10 minutes later to be told that in order to get a refund for the reservation I made on the 27th, I needed to cancel by the 25th! They canceled the reservation and think that they are keeping the entire fee + hotel room cost. I've contacted Chase who has promised to investigate this and I'm contacting Omni headquarters. They are not lying to me and keeping my money. Just plain wrong.
The Trivago website stated the stay would total $588 and when I clicked the link to the GetaRoom website, the stay totaled $799.
Long story short: they stoled my money! Without any possibility to take them back because they work under U. S low.
Found out I was being charged $60 more via above than when I just called the motel. What it makes me suspect is the sites like above are just a scam and we end up paying more than if we just called the motel ourselves.
The price you see online is not the total price they added 40%
After a claim they refund part of that and now claim that as they refunded a small amount i have no right to reclaim the difference any more!
Be warned! Complaint filed with CC company and authorities

I went through Trivago and I put in the city I wanted to stay and got a great rate on the room. When I went to check in they didn't have my reservation because it was booked in a different city. I didn't check because I assumed if I put in a specific city that is what would pull up.
Was trying to book a room in West Springfield for the Equine Affaire. Went to the hotel website (or so I thought) but ended up booking with GetARoom. While the room rate was correct ($167.17/night) they added a Recovery Charge/Service Fee of $212.99 that was NOT obvious. Of course the room reservation was a pre-pay non-refundable, so I have apparently little recourse, but be warned. READ EVERYTHING! Will warn EVERYONE against using this site
After my initial experience with getaroom.com I was very frustrated. I wrote a review on sitejabber and was immediately contacted by someone from the Customer Relations Team. They gathered details to understand my situation and were able to resolve my problem immediately. I was assured they would review the past interactions I had with getaroom.com and pass on any information that would help improve the customer experience. Frustrating conversation. Agent asked me same question several times after I gave information first time. Could not extend reservation Booked additional one, caused checkin problems!
I needed to book a room at a hotel my family was also staying at, but they didn't use the booking site as myself, I got a much better deal for the same room they had - and they paid over 20 dollars more. I wanted to see if they could get me on the same floor as my family - and not only did they arrange for me to be on the same floor - they were able to put my room right next to them. They were very helpful. I was concerned my family's room might get downgraded because they paid more money for their room, but turns out they booked the same exact room type as mine - they just paid more than I did. The agent who helped me was very nice and had it done in a matter of minutes. I was very pleased, because my family booked their room in haste because it was a wake/funeral. I looked for a better deal on mine. Very happy.

As with so many other reviews I have read... I thought I was speaking with a Hilton representative when I made the reservations. They representative did not announce the company name upon answering the phone. I was given a room rate. Said the credit card would be charged for room and taxes. Come to find out they also added additional fees that were never disclosed. How do we as customers get this deceptive business to stop taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. I also alerted Hilton and the are now investigating.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
