I booked in October last year a reservation for JW Marriott in Singapore for a medical conference (March 18-21) The conference and airline were cancelled and I received full refund. No full refund from GetARoom for my hotel reservation.
These people have no common sense or are mal intended, when coronavirus pandemic shutdown the travel and hotel business

When I tried to get my room through GetARoom, I was given no chances to options like "Senior Discounts", "AARP Discounts", and such. Your prices weren't all that much discounted as I was hoping, especially with out the discounts.

It was very easy to complete the reservation. The individual helping me was quite personable.
Easy to make reservation. The event I planned to attend, cancelled because of COVID-19. I had to cancel my reservation and it was a very easy and quick process.
You were suppose to change date from the 18th to 15th After repeated emails you never responded. Very poor customer service to a in the past good client. I will have to think long and hard about a repeat visit with your company.

I went on this site for the first time and it was easy to navigate. I am not an expert with the computer, yet, I am learning.
Reservation started yesterday but due to one of the passengers getting sick and showing some covid-19 symptoms, last minute needed to change the reservation for 2 passengers only instead of 3. Tried to make the change before checking in, but lines were jammed and no option to do the room update online. Went to check-in and was told by the hotel I needed to go through getaroom.com. Just looking to get a refund for the one passenger who couldn't travel given the circumstances. I'd be happy to update the review once refund is processed (R*******682)

I called and made a reservation for Newberg OR. It was hard to understand the man I talked to as he had a very foreign accent. I was NEVER told that there would be a $19.99 reservation fee that was not refundable. It was explained very much that the amount he was charging me was completely refundable if done before a certain date. I saw that fee on my itinerary for the first time, I also check out the amount of tax that you charge that seemed over the top and I see that it is more than normal. I became very uncomfortable with your reservations.com and decided to cancel. When I called to cancel It was explained about the fee I explained that I had not been told that and felt I should not have to pay it. Was told they couldn't do anything about it. I plan to talk to my discover card and request them to help me. I am awaiting a response to this problem.

I made reservations approximately 3 months ago to go to Phoenix May 28-June 1,2020 with my wife to see her parents (both in their 80"s) in Arizona. I am 71 years old and very concerned about this virus. Upon calling "getroom" to cancel, they refused to cancel.

The discount is incredible! Have made reservations a few time... WAY less than any other site.
Forced to cancel room reservation due to Corona Virus based on news today. Due to 1.5 hour expected wait I went online and cancelled and was assessed a $425 penalty (one nights room)
When i called back to inquire I was hung up on by agent. When I called back (another 1 hour wasted) I was told the previous agents name was unavailable and that the systems were down and I would receive call back within 24 hours. Guess what... Not expecting a call back... Horrible service. Just a scam and reason to always book direct with resort

I've had to call and cancel and rebook several times due to changes in our itinerary. Each time the representative was courteous and professional. I wish you offered modifications to a reservation, however I do appreciate the free cancellation policy. Thank you.
I was to travel for a conference and booked a room at a Hampton Inn. The conference has been cancelled due to the coronavirus so I called to cancel my room. It says in red letters on my reservation 'no cancellation fee'. But appears, they will charge me full price to cancel. When I explained why, they said it would be 7 days before they could give me an 'answer' if my cancellation is refunded. The reservation is in 4 days. What a way to screw a customer when we are in an international health scare. Never again getaroom.com Never again!

I booked 3 rooms at the Hilton Convention Center in Anaheim CA with GetARoom on Monday morning March 2nd for a March 4th arrival.
Within hours I received word that the convention( EXPO WEST) that I was attending on the 4th was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Virus. I called right away(Same Day within hours) to get help on my refund of $3905. 74. I was told by someone in customer service that they would help me and it would be 2 to 3 days that I would receive word. Nothing! GET A ROOM needs to do the right thing and refund my rooms or anyone who was affected by COVID 19 cancellations. All U.S. airlines are refunding peoples money back to ensure their customers come back. What is the possibility of anyone using GET A ROOM if they can not do the right thing. I was planning on attending, in no way did I purposely cancel my rooms, I did not have any choice in the matter at all and was looking forward to my trip and stay in Anaheim.

Booked a weeks stay due to business but had to shorten it because of family emergency. Getting the change was not a problem and was done with minimal calling. Would advise others to use it as well.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.

There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
