Fake 5 star reviews

This is a deceptive booking group that charges a LOT of fees but makes it easy to fool people looking for cheaper rooms. I was so angry that they charged me $70 dollars and had to go back and literally open every small print on there to find their fees (even then they weren't disclosed). Unscrupulous and bad business practices. Sorry but if you were a good business
You would let people who call immediately after booking cancel.

Do not use thhis site

Made a reservation thru this site by mistake (thought it was the hotels). Two days before arrival I came down with the flu. Called get a room and the hotel to cancel. Get a room requested a note from my doctor, which I provided. Get a room would not provide a refund. Spoke to the hotel, explained why a had to cancel, and they would waive the cancellation fee if get a room would request it. Get a room refused and kept the two night reservation fee of $427.

Sadly we are very disappointed in the service we received from customer service. Because of Covid we had to cancel our Majestic Hotel in Barcelona reservation for January ******* and rebook at your suggestion through you for Oct 2022, it was suggested that by rebooking we would have a better chance of receiving a refund from hotel
In our correspondence with the Majestic Hotel 9 you have a copy) they informed us the the decision to refund was yours not theirs since your company had the funds. We hope to have a positive out come so we might revise our review. By the way Majestic dies not have a no refund policy!

I booked a room through what seemed to be Villa Serena in Samanás website, Villaserenasamana.guestreservation.com. The price marked 1899 Swedish crowns ("SEK") for a standard double room and 1990 SEK for a superior. The price at Booking.com was 1584 SEK + 482 SEK in taxes, which is the final price.

When I clicked to confirm the reservation I get the information that the final price is 3000 SEK and that my booking is confirmed with no refund available. This price is not what was displayed before I confirmed and significantly more expensive than the rate at Booking.com. It wasn't stated anywhere that they would add 50% to that price!

When writing to Getarooms customer service I receive the answer that "While we realize the process can sometimes be confusing, we do not feel we deceived or mislead in any way".

Unacceptable, illegal and unethical. Horrible company that I don't recommend to anyone!

Total scam

Their website is deceptive. It misleads customers into believing they are booking directly with the hotel and they add hidden service and reservation fees that almost double the room rate- don't use them!

Requested some of a prepaid booking to be refunded due to my family testing positive for Covid. We canceled 48hour prior to arrival. I expected something returned, not zero as they required proof of positive test and made me up load our results.

After my complaint, getaroom.com, refunded the entire amount of prepaid hotel fee. I am now grateful.

I booked a reservation on what I thought was the hotels own website but in fact was being used by Getaroom.com

I attempted to change my reservation date within 8 hours of me actually booking. They refused to move my date and continued to offer a cancellation but they would keep the entire $280 balance.

Here is what the cancellation policy stated."Each room in this reservation is subject to the hotel's cancellation policy which is: Cancellations before 12/28/2021, 11:59 PM (America/New York) are fully refundable."

I did not even book the room until the 29th. So basically it is fully refundable if you cancel before you actually purchase it. IF THAT IS NOT A SCAM I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS.

Beware of this site!

My husband went to the Hotel Indigo website and was directed to Getaroom. He thought he was making reservations directly with the hotel. He accidentally entered12/15 instead of 12/16/2021. He was charged. He realized his mistake but could not change it. He called and was bounced back and forth to the hotel and Getaroom. Finally he was told that nothing could be done because the reservation was made and cancelled on the same day. The charge was $190. We have spent hours trying to get through the menu at Getaroom with no way to reach anyone to help. Using this website was a very costly mistake.
